The glass was repaired, but they did not put my ADT security sensor back on the window frame. For people who have ADT system will know, it takes two pieces of sensors to line up on the window in order to activate the alarm. I called and spoke with a person. I told him what happened, but he pretty much blaming me. He said that I told them I have the ADT system on my other panel. Yes I do, but it is only one of the two pieces. I told them there is another sensor on the window panel that they fixed it. I asked him just to look for it. He did not. He blamed me, and said he was talking to me in a nice way. I told him all I asked is for him to look for it, but he did not. I wasn't rude at all, all I asked was that if he can look for it. If you are in the glass and mirror business, you should know that the metal piece on the window panel is the sensor for a security system. Now my security system is not working properly at all. I already paid in advance. It is pretty much he said I said. I lost because I paid for the services but now I have to pay more for ADT to fix the security system simply because of a window panel. I hung up the phone call because it is getting nowhere. I just want to warn you that if you are using their services, make sure you take pictures and write down everything you have. I have no doubt that the owner or person will twist the whole truth, it is what my experiences, and I will not recommend this company.

He took the window back to his shop to install a new piece of glass, putting in the special gas between the panes that helps with insulation & energy efficiency. A couple months later, I went back to the shop in person and was told that I should have said something earlier and there was nothing they could do. Do not give Stan's Glass your money!! **UPDATE, Jan. 29, 2007**: Ok, so I wrote the original review on Dec. 12, 2006, with one star. Since then, I went back to the store in person (two more times), and finally got someone to come out to fix the item. It was not an elegant fix, but the item now works. Interestingly enough, I got a call from the owner today asking me to print a retraction of this review, since the problem has been solved. He didn't challenge what I wrote, so obviously he recognized the situation. At first I deleted the original review, but I'm reposting it with the revision. So my revised review is: Stan's Glass can probably solve any glass problem you might have. They don't take credit cards, so you don't have any leverage if something goes wrong - you're on your own, and you'd better be persistent. If you are, they will make good. The original transaction went smoothly and in a timely manner, and if the item had not been defective, I would have been quite satisfied.

Disappointed with our experience with MC Glass after spending about $2,000 on window repairs. Most…read morefrustrating was the extensive paint damage they left on our antique windows--something we were never warned about, and they made no effort to repair. They also worked on a stuck garage window with one cracked pane (as noted during the estimate). After 30 minutes of trying to unstick it, they told me two more panes were cracked and needed replacing--without mentioning they'd already been working on it. I asked for a quote before proceeding, but they replaced them anyway. Reviewing our security footage, it's clear they likely cracked the panes during that initial 30 minutes. When I brought this up calmly with the owner, he became defensive and angry, saying he was "insulted" and didn't have time for "fighting." In the end, I offered to split the cost since I couldn't conclusively prove the damage--but overall, the lack of professionalism, communication, and accountability was disappointing. Wouldn't recommend.
