Had the #21 Jamaican Jerk Chicken sandwich today (minus the onions) and it was a fabulous and generous mix of jerk spice and cool crisp flavorful veggies!! Oh and I can't forget the sweetness of the grilled pineapple. Chef's kiss on that touch! Also, when they say international deli, they really mean the international part. The sandwiches are next level. Found this hidden gem driving through the area. I'm a yelper and the pictures sucked me right in. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff. Thoughtful employee. Deli or casual ambiance style in the restaurant. Counter order style. Overwhelming sandwich offerings and everything looked to die for!!!!! Our food was fast, reasonably priced and yummy in the tummies. You can tell the owners care about this place. So glad we stopped in. Would be back any time we are in the area! read more

Lil Papi's has some solid offerings-my favorite is the chopped cheese. I personally think their sides have an opportunity to be improved but overall, very clean restaurant and the food is good. Many different varieties of sandwiches-I'd recommend trying them out! read more

Even though I let my wife pick our sandwich, it was delicious lol. Next time I think I will have to try one of their cheesesteaks. This is one of those places you want to order "one of everything." Tortellini salad and broccoli salad were both great. I have a feeling I'll give this place 5 stars every time I eat there. Nice to know there's a great deli closer than Calabash lol. read more

a while back I wasted most of an afternoon at OrthoCarolina in Concord with my lovely bride waiting for x-rays followed by a little medical malpractice... so going home to figure out what's for dinner was pretty far down on the list. but Lil Papi's was almost nearly close to being on the way home, sort of... but totally next door to odalys cake shop ;-) so there we were having sandwiches, so many options and no intentions or feel likes so pick something from the best sellers board and see what happens. what happened was an arepa for her and a grilled chicken club for me. we sat out front and close to the building because it was a little breezy but warmish for early autumn. my club was nothing special - which is the point when getting a chicken sandwich - it's predictable unlike my grapefruit soda. MLB never had arepa before but after commenting on the 'weird bread' she tucked into it like a champ sipping water between bites. said she didn't realize how hungry she was until the whole medicine-for-profit thing was behind us. so yeah, Lil Papi's is pretty alright even though it's way over there. on the plus side there's mexicookies right next door :-) read more

I haven't ordered from here in a while but ordered from here today and it was DELICIOUS. I ordered something new after seeing a friend having ordered it. The Bahn Mi burger. Oh my goodness! It's so good. The burger is so tender and seasoned perfectly and it's dressed in all the Bahn mi veggies and sauce. I've travelled for the past 8 years for work, 40+weeks annually, different states, different cities constantly. We were told about Papi's by our POC onsite. We ended up eating here every day this week. Fantastic people, fantastic service, fantastic food. For lunch, this is easily in my top 3 places nationally. Took the family to Papi's for dinner, wanted to try it out for the first time. The sandwiches were very good and large sizes. The side salads were also very good, be aware that the sandwiches do not come with any sides, no combos. Everything is A-LA-CART, entrée, side and drink is all sold separately. This all $tart$ to add up with a family of three or more. The drink cooler needs to be adjusted for colder drinks, our drink purchases were not very cold. No fountain drinks, no refills. I will return, like I said, the entrées are really fresh and good just need to create some specials and offer fountain drinks especially for families. read more

Of all the foods in all the places, my family probably consumes sandwiches most of all. So when we needed a quick lunch after a day at the zoo, we went to Lil Papi's. Though the interior is small, the menu is extensive. Sandwiches of all varieties and flavors are included on the menu. I went with my favorite, a gyro. Big Daddy opted for a rice bowl. My gyro was delicious and flavorful, with tender meat and fresh veggies. Big Daddy didn't love his bowl -- too much rice, not enough meat/toppings -- but he still declared it "good." The kids ordered subs and quesadillas, all of which were declared to be "excellent." Chips cost extra and we bought more than we needed since we were unaware of how large the sandwiches were. I tried the tortellini salad which was also very good. The entire place was clean, pleasant, and welcoming. We will definitely eat here again if we return to the area. read more

I will just be adding on to all of the rave reviews that already exist, but they are spot on, Lil Papi's has some outstanding sandwiches! I have stopped in a handful of times and gotten something different each time, but it has never disappointed. Also very reasonably priced compared to the chains they would be compared to. I think my most recent favorite was the Buenos Aires. Grilled steak and onions, with crunchy fresh cabbage, and chimichurri drizzled over the top! Very good! Lil Papi's is certainly popular so I do try it hit it a bit off from the prime times as they can get backed up during the lunch rush hour, but is worth a little wait! Will definitely be back and try some other scrumptious sandwiches! read more

Y'all!! Don't sleep on Lil Papi's. It took us way too long to get here. This place is awesome. The menu is large so I suggest you check it out before you go OR better yet we got the inside scoop to call ahead for pick up. ALL sandwiches are handmade so be patient with them if you place order in store. The restaurant itself is not large so I wouldn't recommend you show up with a crowd that wants to sit together. But certainly you can do a pick up and enjoy at home!! read more

I had been wanting to try this location since reading the Yelp reviews. The menu is impressive and has something for pretty much anyone. I decided to order the Lil Havana and the NY ChopCheese for my husband and I to share for dinner. The bread was really good, fresh and soft. They basically make perfect sandwiches. That's all you need to know. I'm a sandwich expert and every where I go I'm on the hunt for the best sandwiches in the land. Look no further, this is Charlotte's best sandwich joint, and I don't think it's even close. I got the San Juan Tripleta Sub and the NY Chopcheese - both were amazing and I don't even know which one I liked more. I could describe all the flavors and textures, etc but really just trust me - the ingredients, the ratios, the bread, it's all exactly as it should be. The only thing I didn't love was the Dominican Potato Salad. It seemed under seasoned. In a world where every calorie counts, I need my flavors on point if you want me to keep swallowing. But seriously everything else was a amazing and I'll be making the 30 minute drive more often than makes financial sense. read more

I got the #81 Buenos Aires sandwich to-go. Drove about 18 minutes to Frank Liske Park to eat the sandwich. One side of the sandwich, the thinner side, ended up getting a bit soggy. Luckily, they put the chimichurri in a separate container, so that helped prevent the sandwich coming more soggy. The chimichurri sauce was good. Without the chimichurri sauce, the sandwich was bland. The sandwich was supposed to come with caramelized onions, but they were sauteed. I could only finish about 3/4 of the sandwich. Also got to try a side of pasta salad, which was good. I wouldn't mind trying their other sandwiches, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here. read more

Was skeptical at first because of how highly rated it was. They were not wrong. This is a 5 star spot. It's good, the portion size is more than enough 1 sandwich could feed 2. We got the Arepa and a Torta and it was way too much food. The only reason I'm taking a star off is because I like being devils advocate. There's only 1 restroom and everytime the front door opens there is an annoying sound going "front door open" which can kill the ambiance a bit. Other than that it's perfect. To say the sandwiches here are amazing is putting it mildly. The bread is crusty yet soft, the meat is so good and tasty and all ingredients are fresh. The sandwiches are pretty big. Our guys almost took half home, but decided it was so good they just had to finish them off! I did take half the quesadilla home. We had the Bueno Aires, Philly Cheesesteak and the Philly chicken cheese quesadilla. Nice peppy, Latino music playing, and happy employees. When you think of chicken salad with apples and pecans, you expect that classic creamy chicken salad flavor. This version was much drier, with little to no mayonnaise, and the flavor was very different from a traditional chicken salad. In fact, someone at our table commented that it had an almost "fishy" taste, which was surprising. To be fair, taste is subjective, and I'm sure there are people who enjoy this style of chicken salad, so I'm only sharing the opinion of the person who ordered it. I mentioned the feedback to one of the employees, hoping they might appreciate hearing a customer's perspective, but the response felt indifferent, which was disappointing. First after reading reviews we intentionally came about 3pm on a Tuesday. Although there was a steady flow of customers, most were takeout so there was no issue with the limited seating. 5 tables seat 4 tables seat 2 people. Sufficient amount of parking. My Mom has limited mobility so great to get a spot directly in front of the door. We were immediately greeted by Nikki with a pleasant smile that said 'glad you're here!' You order your food and sit down, they bring it to you. Burger was good, fries good, sweet potato fries were either a little burnt or that's just how they make them but I didn't mind, bbq sandwich and Mac n cheese good. I had a veggie burger which was frozen. Not my preference but still tasty. Came with all the toppings. My mom lives for banana pudding and she said theirs is great! Customer service by Nikki, Miley and who I presume to be the manager was excellent! Clean restaurant. After the first shift left, Miley was there for the second and constantly cleaned in her downtown. Clean restroom which is one stall for separate genders. There's a baby changer in the restroom. I enjoyed the Christian music playing in the background. I love restaurants that are easy to navigate for my mom. Good food, good service, check them out!

One of the best burgers I've had--simple toppings, nothing fancy, but somehow packed with flavor in every bite. That's how you know it's done right. The fries were hot and crispy, and the old-school sodas were the perfect touch. Simple, classic, and seriously good. I'll definitely be back.

The burger was super flavorful and I love me some cheese curds! These cheese curds were fried (State Fair Style) and they were so good and gooey! They have seating available inside at tables and bar counters, along with seating outside at the patio tables. It's a great place with modern touches and wall art with Harriet info. I'll definitely be back!

Pump Social is one of the more unique lunch spots in downtown Concord, located in a renovated old…read moregas/service station. The concept is really well done, with a fun atmosphere, a large outdoor patio with covered picnic tables, and a small indoor seating area. It was just too hot to enjoy the patio during our visit, so we opted to eat inside. The menu focuses on sandwiches, salads, and grain bowls. Our group tried three sandwiches: the La Familigia, the Big Schlepper, and the Hillcrest. The La Familigia was enjoyable. The combination of capicola, Genoa salami, mortadella, fresh mozzarella, arugula, and the spicy pickled pepper spread on ciabatta created a flavorful, well-balanced sandwich that I'd happily order again. The Big Schlepper was another winner. The corned beef paired perfectly with the Swiss cheese, spicy Dijon aioli, pickles, shaved cabbage, and caraway rye bread. Every bite had great texture and flavor. Unfortunately, the Hillcrest didn't meet expectations. When you think of chicken salad with apples and pecans, you expect that classic creamy chicken salad flavor. This version was much drier, with little to no mayonnaise, and the flavor was very different from a traditional chicken salad. In fact, someone at our table commented that it had an almost "fishy" taste, which was surprising. To be fair, taste is subjective, and I'm sure there are people who enjoy this style of chicken salad, so I'm only sharing the opinion of the person who ordered it. I mentioned the feedback to one of the employees, hoping they might appreciate hearing a customer's perspective, but the response felt indifferent, which was disappointing. Overall, Pump Social has a great concept, a fun atmosphere, and two of the three sandwiches were very good. I'd definitely return to explore more of the menu, but I'd skip the Hillcrest next time.

Customer service was amazing and the food was top tier! I tried their veggie wrap option this trip, called the Adriaddict. It's hard to say but easy to eat!!! LOL, soooo good. The lemon hummus wa the star of the wrap my gaaaash. Idk how they make it but it's really great. I loved the pickled beets and all the fresh ingredients on it. Each sandwich comes with a side included in the price and that makes decision making easier. We love that. I love how they have bottomless coffee for $3 and the funky and eclectic mugs you can choose from. This is a cool spot. We really enjoyed it and will absolutely be back to try more sandwiches. All of the options sounded so good, it was really hard to pick one. Highly recommend!!
