However, their flat rate pricing resulted in my wife and me paying $790.42 for an hour's worth of actual plumbing work for what turned out to be two simple tasks--removing and installing a new faucet in the kitchen sink and draining our hot water heater. Roth Home's initial price for the faucet repair was $878.24. They also drained the hot water heater while they were here. We did not ask questions about what was involved and how long it would take (our mistake). When we questioned the charges after the work was done, we were given a 10% senior discount. Later they said we weren't charged the usual fee of $336 to drain the hot water heater. According to them, we were "only" charged $790.42 and received a "savings" of $423.82. Our recommendation is to ask questions and proceed with caution. Document what you are told (and by whom) and how long any work takes.

Needed new water heater, got quotes from Fusion and Home Depot. HD was 20% less BUT only quoted…read morethe water heater and the install with the caveat that any addition items or work would be added on. I've worked with HD before, and have had no issue, so I think they are fine I have no beef with them. Fusion gave a detailed quote of all items to be replaced and the model of water heater. The quote included new water hoses (stainless steel) , new gas hose, new earthquake straps, the addition of an expansion tank (which I think is now required for code). Everything that the job needed was on the quote. Baring unforeseen issues (which happen) I knew exactly what the cost was going to be. Some of the items may have not absolutely needed replacement, but you don't want a $30 hose to ruin a $800 water heater (which is what happened to my last water heater and why we are here today). The solution provided was complete. HD may have had a less expensive quote, but it would have gone up, so I think in the end HD was not really a better price. Given the good reviews online and detailed quote at what I felt was a fair price, the job went to fusion. From inquiry to initial response was very quick, a couple of hours maybe. All communication was timely. Install date was set for three days after my inquiry. The day of the install they were a little late, but I got a text communicating that and an arrival time. I appreciated that very much. When they showed John introduced himself, very polite, nice guy. Then they went to work. They completed the job in a few hours. They left the work area clean and removed the old water heater. The install was beautiful, I know it's a water heater, but damn it was a clean install. Fusion gets five stars. There is no aspect of this job that I can suggest a need for improvement. Price: Five Stars, since the price was close to HD, I feel that I paid a fair price Communication: Five Stars, responsive and let me know they were running late Install: five stars, you can just tell that they paid attention to detail and did a clean job. I've always been happy with the quality of their work. They usually come quickly which is especially important at a business. Their 24-hour service is only for clogged drains. After regular closing time, only drain technicians are available and they cannot diagnose or fix most plumbing issues. They will not give estimates for work without first sending a plumber to look at the situation. I have no problem with them charging for this (I think it was $89), but it doesn't take an expert to know that a leaking pipe needs to be replaced. That was something that wasn't explained to me on the phone, so they ended up coming out for nothing. I will continue using this company when I need someone fast. However, they are not my first choice. They charge some of the highest rates. So if you need something taken care of right away, they are a good choice. But be warned, you will pay a lot for the service.

I check their app at 11:45 it says my technician arrived and "service was in progress" which is funny because no one was at my house. 12:30 hit I called and spoke with someone who told me to be patient they assured me I was next in line. Another few hours passed, a tech showed up for "water damage assessment" there's no water damage I have a clogged pipe, he said it was a "free service"... I told him nowhere did I say I had water damage. I asked whim where the actual tech was he said he didn't know and he couldn't help. At 4:50pm I got a call from a woman at Roto rooter telling me a tech was going to come available and giving me a 30-45 minute heads up. Obviously I told her to cancel and that was insane why would I give a penny to this company? 9am appointment and they're telling me they'll show up around 6pm? They continuously texted me to tell me I was next in line from 9am to 5pm which was an obvious lie. Lesson learned call a local plumber, this company is the worst. If you want to waste your whole day call them, if not call literally anyone else. Since they're corporately owned I'll provide my feedback to their parent company as well. Waste of a day
