I had been searching for the right alteration shop for quite some time. I tried a few places before finding Lily's Cleaners & Alterations, and while they were okay, it still wasn't exactly what I was looking for. I brought in a pink suit jacket and matching pants that I wanted altered for a more modern look. I wanted the pants tapered and shortened to an ankle length, and I was very specific about the style I was trying to achieve. In the past, I've had alterations done where the hems weren't crisp or too much fabric was removed, leaving the garment looking obviously altered. This experience was completely different. She took the time to listen, understood exactly what I wanted, and delivered it perfectly. The finished suit looks as though it was designed and purchased that way from the start. The tailoring is clean, professional, and precise. I brought a tie in for dry cleaning. It was really nice to be able to see the staff hard at work on alterations in the back. Everything is out on the open. While they didn't get my tie clean on the first visit, they did get it done on the second try. The lady who works the register is very nice. I paid $7.50 for the cleaning which is a fair price in my opinion. I inquired about alterations and was told $12.00 for hemming. That also sounds fair to me. One thing I didn't like was their policy of requiring you to pay up front. I've never encountered that before from a dry cleaner. It puts all the risk on the customer. At any rate, I would definitely recommend them based on their performance and will consider using them again in the future. read more

Very nice and great location. We discuss stains that are marked at drop off. I picked up and home only to find the stains the same. If something doesn't come out I would discuss with the same detail at pick up. This is the second time I grabbed to wear something after cleaning for event only to find not wearable. read more

When I moved to my new neighborhood and was looking for someone to do alterations everyone told me that Lily's was the best. I was to be a bridesmaid in an upcoming wedding and had purchased the required dress online so order a bigger size just in case. The dress was much to large on me and way too long. I was shocked at the pricing, but as they had good reviews thought I'd try them. Explained to the lady at the register that I want a dry cleaner that presses the clothing well. I received back my clothing, and not only were they not pressed well, (plackets, collars, cuffs, and some shoulders were still wrinkled), but they stapled their tags to my clothing! When I got home I also noticed that my favorite silk scarf (had it for 40 years!!!) was missing, but they apparently did not have it. Needless to say, I was very disappointed and would not use them or suggest them to anyone. read more

Where do I begin? I drive 14 miles each way just to bring my clothes here. The reason I go out of my way to come to this facility is due to the customer service, the quality of work, and the price. I personally believe their prices are too low. I bring my shirts, suits, and have my alterations done here. I have never had an issue with anything they have done. I hate to let out this secret but someone was nice enough to point me in the direction of Lily and I need to return the favor. Great alterations and repairs. I have taken 3 dresses here for alterations including a satin bridesmaid dress and all came back perfect. Dressing rooms to change and large 3 way mirror for review. Alterations are done on site (allowing for rush jobs) but I think the dry cleaning is elsewhere. My dress had a lot of detail and a variety of work that needed to be done from beading, hemming, taking it in, shortening straps and shortening my train. I went here to get my sons baptism suit dry cleaned so my second son could where it at his baptism. The lady was very rude and couldn't tell me the cost of how much it would be. But i had no choice because his baptism was in a week. I went to pick up and rang the bell for like 15 minutes I almost was tempted to go back there and make sure everyone was safe. So the mean lady comes at me saing y u ring bell so much i busy! Then finally finds my item and charges me $42 for a baby baptism suit! never going back there again! what a rip off! read more
