Uneven and not even lined up "moon" for my 1930s "French tip"
    Desiree C.

Crappiest nail service ever and big scam... they overcharge and are completely dishonest about pricing for services literally listed on their website and in their shop... Came here for the first time ever and the woman didn't even soak my nails... I asked what she was doing and why she wasn't soaking my nails or pushing the cuticles back. She then tells me that coats and extra $5. WTF are you talking about???!!! A basic manicure covers that and, yet, I was getting full acrylic set with gel! I told she absolutely not and that was the most basic part of a manicure and she kept pretending she didn't understand what I was saying. In the end, this was the crap she gave me.... $70 after she initially tried charging me $80 and then $75. Not even worth $70...

Uneven nails, cheap looking polish. Horrible service, seemed like they cared more about money vs service.

Staff is not friendly, ladies that did my pedi and mani were on their phone all the time. They also pressured me to get gel pedi and mani when I clearly said I wanted regular polish. Also the inside looks dirty. I didn't like my experience here, never coming back

I usually go to a spot down the street from them, but they were closed and I needed my nails done urgently, worst mistake. I really wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. To be fair, the nail tech was very sweet and accommodating, which I appreciated. However, the lack of experience really showed, and the results were disappointing. Even after leaving, I noticed my nails just weren't it. I went back, and to her credit, she was more than willing to fix them but even after the touch-up, the shape, the outline, the overall look was still awful. They look like duck nails. IYKYK. I paid $80 for nails that honestly looked poorly done. Definitely not worth the price.Unless you're going for something extremely basic and don't mind imperfections, I wouldn't recommend this place. 2 stars for the customer service.

I went to go get dip nail polish and she put so much it's looks like it lifting. Never will I go back there

Today I went in for an eyebrow wax and a manicure. But the manicure left much to be desired... I was serviced by Lily, a second nail tech, whose name I didn't get, and ended at Hanna. I asked for almond shape, red French tip. She had to redo my pinkies 2x because she couldn't get the sizing right. I sat there 2 hours and paid 78$ for Gel X nails, only for them to literally pop off within 5 minutes of me leaving the salon!! I went straight back! They fixed it, but with attitude to top! Their eyebrow services are amazing... But I'm Never getting a manicure here again!

Service was HORRIBLE!! Would not recommend unless you want to be hurt. I am not one to complain but she was hurting me so bad. I had to tell her multiple times that she was hurting me, even when it was obvious one of my nails was more sensitive as there was VISIBLE BRUISING! I came in for a gel x removal and when she went to soak my nails in acetone the water was SCORCHING hot and I told her it was and she IGNORED ME. It wasn't until I physically couldn't dip my nails in the acetone, therefore she couldn't remove it she added some cold water. Not to mention not all the gel x was removed. Lastly, although the sign says $3 for gel removal she charged me $15 and still asked for a tip. At one point my nails felt numb from the acetone and hot water and when I expressed this to the nail tech she ignored me....would never come again.

Nail chipping at 6 days, gel manicure

I was in need of a pedi and mani, first time here, I called right before closing and I'm grateful they took me in. The service was good but the work not so much. I came in for a gel mani and pedicure the pedicure was great but the manicure not even a week later my nails started chipping, very disappointing, I paid $76 for my manicure not to even last more than a week. I will not be coming back, I've never experience a gel manicure that only lasted a week. A week and today today I have 4 chipped nails

I had an extremely disappointing and unsanitary experience at this nail salon. I went in for some simple French tips, but they completely messed them up. Shape was uneven, nails were bulky. Nothing seemed to be properly sanitized. I had to question and correct the nail tech on various occasions but when I asked what the price was she said the price was set at $75 because we are also paying for her "experience" Now don't get me wrong I would not mind paying that amount if only I had actually received that "experience " she was talking about. Under the sun they looked even worse with uneven layers of paint making them see through in certain places. At this point I could no longer let it slide and had to ask for a refund. When I politely brought up my concerns and asked for my money back, they refused and instead offered a "free set next time." I made it clear I wouldn't be returning after such an unprofessional and unhygienic experience. The owner, Lily, reacted very poorly she threw $20 at me , began yelling, and then walked away to the back of the salon. I would like to add that I showed other customers my nails and they too agreed they were done poorly.

Second time going to Lily's and they always do so good. I got to sit next to my sister and we both good the cutest gelx nails with a free gift:) We will for sure be back!

I tried giving this place another chance, however I was still disappointed. I got hard gel and these were the next 2-3 days results! I paid gel pedicure and hard gel manicure $114 and for it not to last not even a week this is ridiculous! Think twice before spending your money at that place. Their quality is very cheap and prices are high.

I had a interesting and very uncomfortable experience at lily's nails... When I got there they sat me down quickly, the two nail techs said "gel nails?" I was saying no I want French tip mani pedi, the nail tech seemed confused when I said that almost like she didn't really understand my English. They spoke amongst each other which is understandable they want to get someone who knows what their doing . They understood I wanted a French tip full set, but I don't think they understood the pedi French tips...they had to take off the full gel set on my toes .... anyways I did ask about some colors because I wasn't sure which matched the photo I showed them. They honestly seemed bothered when I was changing the color and asking questions. I mean I would be bothered too working for minimum wage. Anyways, I didn't think of checking my toes because I have trusted them in the past.. I looked down and my toes were fully red, I just wanted red French tips. I told her about it and then somehow the whole salon ended up hearing, coming to look and giving me dirty looks, the lady in charge kept walking by me going "tsk tsk" and shaking her head, the pedi nail artist was making bothered jerking movements when taking off the gel nail polish. Just do the job without making a big deal. The boss, my nail tech and the others made me feel super uncomfortable. After there was a lady nail tech just sitting across from me staring at me. The worst part is that I was on my period and was feeling extra sensitive that day i seriously felt like crying and just stopping them I wanted to leave.....I didn't because my birthday was the next day and I wanted to get my nails done to feel cute...I don't think I'll be coming back here again. It was very weird and unprofessional, I ended up settling on my toes and hands because I just wanted to leave. And I gave tip as I always do..I said thank you to the toe nail artist and she just picked up her things looked at me and left. Your employees need to provide better customer service, I've never been to a business and have had them make me feel as uncomfortable as your employees made me feel including the manager of the place.

    Hand poorly drilled down

Terrible service I went in for acrylic removal i asked for a soak off. I was told to have a seat and wait. after 15 minutes an older lady told me that sit at her station she questioned me about why I was taking my nails off then begins cutting my nails off after cutting them and filing one hand down with the drill. she gets up and sees "her client " walking in she comes back over to me and says oh my client is here so I have to take her. someone else will finish your removal I said okay after another 15 minutes goes by someone walks over and says if you have the time we can soak them off I told her that's what I asked for a soak off. She says okay and comes back with a metal bowl with scolding hot water with a plastic bag in it she pours a small amount of acetone in the bowl and tells me to put my hands in it throws a towel over the bowl and walks away. As I put my hands in this bowl I notice how hot the water is I say hey this is too hot they all ignored me but are looking straight at me I say it again just in case they didn't hear what I said the water is too hot. 2 minutes later the old lady with "her client" walks over and tell me if I can wait 30 minutes for her to take them off because apparently nobody in the shop other than her knows how to remove acrylic nails. Excuse my French I told her fuck no I would never go back again!

All of the nail techs are great! I request for Cici when I want to do cat-eye or more simple gel manicures. If I want more artsy designs, I'll usually request for Ella or Karen. Gel manis are still $45, with full cat-eye adding an additional $15. Hand drawn art design nails may add between $4-6 per nail, depending on the design; while if you're okay with stickers, it may be $2-3/each. More intricate nail designs will require more time & cost more depending on what it is -- so I would inform them if this is something you want to do so they can allot the right amount of time for your booking. I typically spend about 1.5-2 hours to get my nails done (including removing the previous months' nails, nail trimming, shaping, cuticles, etc.) As stated before: Easy parking in the First St. structure behind the shop. Restroom available in the back of the store & always clean. They also do have bottled water, if needed.

Karen offers water during the sessions, and when I show Ella inspo pics she tailors the designs to my hand size and nail shape preference. Ella is so quick with her work as well and her attention to detail is unreal. 3. Clean spaces, bright lighting 4. Great color options. I'm a big fan of cat eye nails and there's endless colors to choose from 5. Reasonable pricing and they always quote you the price before you start to make sure you're ok with it Overall this is my go-to place for nails. I love everyone here!

My appointment time came and the salon was still closed (I just want to note that my appointment time was 30 minutes after their opening time) and I was waiting outside, unsure if I should just leave or wait. I ended up messaging Trulycure for an update and didn't get an answer. A lady showed up about 5-10 minutes later to open the door, asked if I needed a pedicure and then to sit down on one of the chairs. Now the chairs were really nice, but did not have a built in spa. She had to bring over a tub of water. I wasn't asked which pedicure service I want (I later saw there were multiple options on their menu) and asked me what color I wanted. Andrew had walked in while I was getting my pedicure done. He worked on removing my old set of gelx that I got done elsewhere and put a new set (he did an excellent job at this). I opted for a cat eye effect on my nails since he mentioned there is a promotion at the time. I thought Trulycure is somewhere I want to go back to but after reflecting on my experience of waiting without any communication they were going to be tardy, pedicure gal cutting my toe nails oddly to the point where my big toe nail is growing out not the way I like and the cat eye not being a cat eye (looks like a layer of glitter polish applied), I was completely ready to go back to my usual place.
