I wish this existed when I lived in Allston! My favorite bubble tea place in Boston. I love their wide variety of teas and matcha drink options. I've tried their strawberry matcha lattes and their regular milk tea and I'm a huge fan. Everything tastes very fresh and well made - no powder flavoring. I also follow them on instagram and I love how they share where they get their ingredients and their new drinks. It has a very chill vibe to it. There's a portion of the wall that has a bunch of inspirational quotes and plants as decorations and of course, you gotta take a picture for the gram. I got the egg waffle sundae with green tea ice cream and it was really good. One thing I found that was odd was that I asked for 2 pockey sticks and they just broke up 1 and split it. At least all the toppings are included so it all adds up to around $7. The taste of the egg puffs tastes very mediocre. It wasn't the best that I've had but maybe it was a bad batch. It was overcooked, a bit too hard, and overall the taste isn't very good. They do have chairs and tables to sit at so if you fancy doing homework at a kind of quiet place with a good ambiance, this might be the spot for you. read more

Everyone says how cute this place is so I had to visit, I was expecting a lot but I just felt like they were trying too hard. I'm not into the decor and the pastries they offer are too dry for my taste. The waffle egg puff was dry and very average, the macarons are too puffy and the consistency of the shell isn't very professional in my opinion, granted I get my macarons from Laduree, it's pretty hard to compete with that. The drinks were ok but not enough tea taste flavor. When I go to a new place I always try their jasmine as a litmus test and their jasmine milk tea was too watery for me. I guess it's cool they have a loyalty program but I prefer dolphin bay down the street because their drinks have more flavor and they have better selection of savory snacks and food as well. I heard about this place and how it was pretty good, and so I was stoked to try it. It did NOT disappoint! The person at the register was really nice and explained the whole menu for us after asking us if we needed any help. We decided to get the waffle sundae as well as the fresh fruit tea in strawberry jasmine. So apparently they use real fruit and brown sugar to make this, and it tasted soooooo fresh and delicious. The seeds from the strawberries were in this drink. Also you get one free topping so we got lychee and wow. GREAT! LOL. You can choose from matcha ice cream and vanilla! And also choose some different toppings that include pocky, chocolate drizzle, and whipped cream. Other things cost more. I'm excited to come back here again because I keep thinking about this fruity tea!!!! read more

I grew up eating egg waffles, I remember it to be a cheap eat, in a cart, warm and fluffy. This on the other hand is not that great. The waffle is too thick and the ice cream ratio is off. I had all toppings so it was $11 or so, also very expensive for egg waffle dessert. I got red bean and sesame ice cream. Very disappointed because it just tasted like vanilla. I used to work at an ice cream store with these flavors thus I know the flavors very well. The ice cream needs to have a stronger flavor. The design of the store is super cute but I wish the dessert was up to par. read more

The BEST place to get bubble tea around the Boston University area. They have a wide variety of drinks. They also have a lot of food to fill up your appetite. I recommend their waffle cone with vanilla ice cream, caramel drizzle, chocolate drizzle, and Oreo crumbles for dessert. For a drink I recommend their earl grey tea latte iced, its not too sweet but not to bland. If you want lunch they have a really good selection of sandwiches. Perfect place to study, hang out with friends, go on a first date with, or just watch a movie on a rainy day. read more

This is a great place to work or study during the week day. There are plenty of comfortable tables, seats and free wifi. All the drinks are really good and the staff is super friendly. Even my boyfriend who is really picky about his bubble tea loves this place. After first discovering this place early July, we've already come here a few times to work. The only complaint I have is that the street parking outside is only for 2 hours and you have to move your car if you don't want a ticket. However, parking is easily available around the block. I got three of the honeycomb sundaes (green tea, vanilla, and red bean). I don't recommend the red bean only because it doesn't have much of a red bean flavor. the green tea tho, . it's hard to find a place that has good green tea ice cream because many times it'll take more like vanilla. but this one has the perfect green tea flavor. the waffles were really good too. the staff was very sweet and patient with us, especially since we ordered three waffle sundaes which can be tedious to make. and another customer spilled their drink on their own but the staff apologized and even offered to remake their drink. read more

Ordered 4 drinks today and expected decent milk tea given the price point, but came up very short. Oolong milk tea tasted like milk with watery tea; boba tasted firm and not chewy at all. The jasmine tea was significantly better than the rest, since it contained no milk. I've been here before with better experience - not sure what's lacking this time around... This is one of my favorite matcha places in Boston. The staffs are super friendly and fast. You usually get your drink within 5 minutes after your order. They have various combinations of matcha drinks. My favorite is the matcha latte with boba and red beans with half sugar. Their most interesting drink is matcha lemonade, which has a very a very unique good taste of the unlikely partnership of matcha and lemonade. Their best non-drink item is the waffle, which is made to order so it's super fresh and crispy. A combination of waffle and green tea drink is truly a match made in heaven! read more

I don't know WHAT I'd do without this place. I'm really picky with boba but I can always rely on LimeRed for quality boba milk tea. I also love their matcha. Great atmosphere as well. It's a perfect place for getting work done. The only negative thing is that the music can be just a TAD too loud... It sounds so nitpicky but it can really start to grate on you when you're trying to work or relax and the music is a couple notches below blaring... Honestly, I'm so disappointed in this place. For the amount of 5 star reviews this place has gotten, I expected way better. The interior looked so nice and cozy and had a quiet ambience that would be great for working or just chilling with friends. I ordered a sandwich, a large matcha Americano, and the matcha tiramisu. The service was fast and the staff were friendly -- but that doesn't really make up for what I had paid for. The matcha tiramisu was great, but it was the only thing I enjoyed out of my entire order. I asked for my Americano to be sweetened. My order came no longer than five minutes later but the cup I had gotten did not seem like a large at all. Was confused, but brushed it off because I gave them the benefit of the doubt. First sip and it does not taste sweet whatsoever, and the amount of matcha powder that I could feel getting stuck in my throat made the experience even worse. No big deal, I thought. Went to grab some sweetener packets from the counter which made the drink easier to endure. Still doesn't excuse the matcha powder feeling like sand in my throat though. As for the sandwich, I did not ask for it to be pressed. It looked pretty promising when I first saw it. I was expecting it to be flavorful but it honestly just tasted like regular cold cuts with some greens. Was extremely dry and the bread was so hard to tear off that my teeth were aching the next day. Unfortunately, I did not ask for a receipt so I don't remember the prices, but let me just say how absurd the price was for what I got. My total was $18. I remember the matcha tiramisu priced at around $3.50/$4, and the matcha Americano was $4.5/$5. Either way when you add it up, the sandwich was at least $9. Pretty disappointing. As for the infamous ice cream puff cone trend, my friends that had come along had each bought a cone. They said that it was alright, but for the price and the amount you get, both them and I personally recommend going to Monkey King Tea in Malden. Bigger portions for about the same price, maybe even cheaper. I wouldn't come here again. read more
