We booked Limo4me for the Rosebowl from Venice for an entire day. The actual party bus experience was fine; we had a good time and the driver was cool. Afterwards, we were charged extra by the company claiming that we broke the stereo system and threw up on the bus. I've included the photos that they sent us from the bus in this post as "proof". See below for description of what actually happened. With regards to the stereo - the very first song we played knocked the plate from the stereo out of the wall because it wasn't screwed or glued in to the wall. You could place it back in the wall and it would fall out almost immediately from any bass from the songs. The stereo continued to work through the ride, it just needed to be better attached to the wall, and it was like this when we got in the bus. With regards to the "throw up" - the driver picked us up in a jack in the box and one person in our group bought a milkshake. A little of that milkshake spilled. It's not puke but they wouldn't listen to us. The bus company claimed that they fired the driver because of these "offenses" which would be utterly ridiculous if true. Take our money for the extra charge...there's nothing we can do if you don't believe our responses, but don't blame the guy driving for something that's clearly not his fault. read more

I don't think it's possible to have more fun than when our bachelorette party rented the Baby Blue limo bus last weekend! On the bus we danced to all our favorite songs, drank and snacked, enjoyed cool mood lighting, and even had a private bathroom! Oh, and don't forget the stripper pole! We all agreed that partying on the bus was actually more fun than when we stopped at the clubs! This review would not be complete without giving a HUGE thank you to our driver/mom, Elizabeth! She made sure we were all accounted for, that we had the best time, and she even prevented some strange guys from boarding the bus! I have never written a review on Yelp before, but Limo4me is such a shady business I feel obligated to warn others!! In a nutshell, I made reservations 2/26 for a May 19th prom. Took my deposit --- no problem. Reconfirmed end of April --- all was good. Received a text on May 9 saying the bus I reserved will not be able to operate anytime soon ... it was out of their hands. (total BS) Bottom line, I was told my one of their employees that prom season is like their "Super Bowl." They double/triple prices and since I was contracted to pay $1,383.53 and the new going rate for the bus was $2,700 he said they didn't want to even find me another bus. I was told, by other bus companies on my new search that were already booked, that parents call all the time --- even the day of, and offer to pay more money. The honest companies say no, but the shady ones have no problem taking the offer. Please save yourself a headache and disappointed kids and call another company!!! Don't forget to check the BBB too. PS: It makes me so angry that companies like this get away with being unethical. I reached out to all of the local news stations and I'm hoping one of them will do an undercover story about bus scams and prom. That would be great!! read more

Limo4me RUINED my brother's bachelor party. Stay far away from this company unless you want to be humiliated by your friends and family for renting "the worst limo" anyone has ever been embarrassed enough to ride in!! They will pull a bait-and-switch on you and promise you a "new" limo but what you will get is an outdated piece of junk limo that even high schoolers would be embarrassed to ride in. The paint was so dingy and scratched and I almost fell when I stepped to get inside the limo as the step was so wobbly it was actually held on with black duct tape! The worst part about the entire limo was that the air condition didn't work and it was literally 87 degrees in there. All the girls make-up was melting and it smelled like someone used soaking wet mildew rags as air freshener. I made the driver pull over and get his supervisor on the line before we even reached our first pick-up. I asked him to check the air conditioner and he confirmed it was on but thats as cool as it got. At this point I was drenched in sweat and absolutely humiliated as I was in front of our entire group watching them sweat and talk about how awful the limo was. The best part was the door between the limo and the driver was broken out so he put one of those shiny aluminum looking sun shades in between us and so we had no privacy. I almost died when I finally looked around inside after wiping the sweat out of my eyes and saw that their were no beverages at all, no booze, no glasses, no nothing on the wet bar but some Dixie cups and a bottle of Arrowhead. I couldn't believe it and so I moved closer to inspect but the seat I was in started peeling away from the actual frame of the seat! I was so embarrassed I literally called another limo company on the spot. The driver assured me that after he dropped us off at dinner he would drive back to the limo yard and get a new limo and pick us up in time to take us to the club. I believed him so I agreed and off we went to dinner. On the ride to the restaurant it became a game of everyone inside to point out just how damaged and horrible the inside of the limo was. Here were just a few of the things on the list besides everything I already mentioned: * Mirrors on the ceiling were totally shattered * Colored strobe lights were burnt out on one side it was so ghetto * Stereo speakers hissed when you played music * One of the windows didnt even roll down So guess what happened after dinner? That's right, no new limo! At that point it was too late to hire a new one so we had to use it for the rest of the night. The driver then tried to lie and say the air conditioner miraculously worked now because it was cooler inside. Of course it's cooler downtown at 11pm at night! What a nightmare. After writing the owner an email and telling him I wanted a full refund he told me I signed the contract and that he would give me an hour or so off. No thanks. I will just warn other consumers about the horrible experience they will be in for if they use Limo4Me. It makes sense why they changed their name as review Platinum's reputation and you will see they provide horrible limos and don't care because you sign a contract. read more

Boo! A friend of mine rented a bus for his birthday. It was horrible. First off, the driver took the longest route possible to the 405 freeway.The air conditioning didn't work at all. It was a hot summer day and we planned to go to San Diego from the Southbay. It was so terribly hot that opening some windows barely helped. We couldn't stand it anymore so we stopped at some random bar, that thank God had air conditioning. Any how, we ended up going to a couple of spots in Laguna Beach. The only break we had was during the ride home. The weather cooled off and the wind coming through the windows felt nice. read more

Platinum limos are a dishonest company that falsified damages against my group so that we would be forced to pay something that was already broken prior to entering the vehicle. Disappointed!! I booked a party bus a month in advance for my son's senior prom with a total of 28 students. This company calls me 2 hours prior to pick up that the driver called off and did not have a back up driver. Everyone was in a panic calling uber, bus services, shuttles....etc to accommodate the 28 kids to prom. Fortunately, we found So Cal Limo And Buses in long beach who were efficient and accommodating for a last minute service. I hired this party bus for our wedding in April. I'm have been a wedding photographer for 5 years so I'm very knowledgeable about planning weddings. I mapped out the driver to pick the groom and groomsmen at our house in Gardena, pick the bridesmaids up at The Avalon, drive to Rodeo drive, LACMA and then to our venue studio 1342. Rodeo drive is 15 mins from Avalon and LACMA is 10 mins from the venue so it was mapped our perfectly. The driver instead took us to LACMA first and then rodeo drive. It costs us 45 mins. On top of that, he told the videographers that he was taking us to Rodeo Drive first so now we have no footage of the wedding party. We then got to the venue late. I really don't know what happened but I'm very disappointed. read more

The company needs to fire any of its limo drivers that are not there on time or not giving the full time that has been paid for unless this is being endorsed by the company itself. My boyfriend surprised me with a limo ride to my birthday dinner on Sunday May 4th. We Had a great time. Since we had some time left to spare after dinner, the driver even took us cruising on sunset, which was awesome ... got home at 9:30.. Why two stars you may ask? After the fact I discovered that my boyfriend had contracted the limo for four hours but the driver dropped us off after only 3:30 hours. MY BOYFRIEND WAS NEVER REFUNDED ANY PORTION OF THE MONEY THAT HE HAD PAID FOR FOUR HOURS OF SERVICE AND WAS EVEN GIVEN ATTITUDE AFTER INQUIRING WITH THE DRIVER OF THE EARLY DROP OFF. Bus was supposed to arrive at 6pm for the GHS kids' homecoming. After 2 hours of all these kids waiting at the park they were cold and hungry and had already missed their dinner. When the bus driver finally got there at almost 8pm he wanted to charge an extra $75 for the bathroom to be used. The bus driver was not understanding nor compassionate about these kids that had been stranded, cold, hungry and without bathrooms since 4pm when they all met there. He was rude and after finally arriving he left the bus and was on his phone for another 15 minutes. All he could say is "shit happens." Received GREAT service from Mario at Limo 4 Me. So happy with the Mini Vegas bus party I had over the weekend. It was an AMAZING deal and trust; I shopped ALL OVER the competition. Booked the Thursday before the actual Party Bus party day and Mario was available through text or call with ANY questions I had about the bus at any time. Will use them again and will be referring all my friends. Only thing is that the LCD screens in the buses no longer play TV or anything on them, you have to bring a DVD to play if you want the screen to play something. I don't know if it says that on the website, but just a quick comment for the people who want the TOTAL experience... Didn't take away from anything, because the music sound system on the bus was AMAZING and that's all we cared about. So fun, cannot wait to do it again! read more

Rented a party bus for my brother's bachelor party last weekend. Charlie originally helped me with booking. He was professional and nice and not too pushy. 6 hours for $903. Seems steep to me, but those seemed the be the average rates around the LA area. Winter Formal Rates I was told. Damn High Schoolers. The actual bus was okay. It was as described and was as clean as you would expect. The laser lights were super annoying and our driver was unable to turn them off, so we rigged some napkins to block the lights. The sodas that were provided were off brand coke and gross. So definitely take your own stuff if you want quality. Also, we were supposed to be able to hook up our iPod BUT there was no cord to hook it up to the radio, so we had to listen to the radio. Would have been nice to know we needed a AUX cord. Our driver was really unhelpful in figuring it out. Our driver had zero personality and was actually texting while I was talking to her. Ashley definitely hated her job. I was hoping to get a run down of the night from her but she couldn't have cared less. I shouldn't have tipped her cause she didn't do anything to deserve it. But I'm too nice and was tipsy. I will probably not go through this company again. I think there's better out there. read more

We used Limo4Me for our wedding party yesterday and we are very happy with the results! We ordered the White Knight, which was built to seat 28-32 people, but we were advised that a few less people makes it a bit more comfortable. We were happy that we took this advice and had 23 people. It was nice and roomy, and a very smooth ride, even along the coast of Palos Verdes. We were provided with soda, ice and water, and we provided alcohol, which was not a problem. Our driver showed up right on time and waited in the parking lot during our ceremony and photos. Then he drove us to a few different photo spots with no complaints. The pricing was very fair and the look and quality of the vehicle was excellent. I used Platinum Limousine (www.limo4me.com) for a wedding back in January. I liked their competitive prices, and though it took a while for them to call me back, once I spoke to Laura, she was very helpful and explained the whole process to me (I'm a wedding coordinator and ask a lot of questions, so maybe that's why). I emailed her the dates, times for pickups, drop-offs, and addresses and it was all listed on the contract that my bride signed with her deposit. You can opt to pay the balance with your credit card and I would definitely recommend this because otherwise you do have to scramble around trying to pay with cash on the day of. Our driver, Jack, was amazing. Very communicative, patient, polite, and knew when he was needed and when he had to park and wait. He called me as soon as he arrived at the hotel, and even though the hotel wouldn't let him wait for the bride, he found a parking spot nearby and waited patiently until I told him they were ready for him. Laura was great and I really appreciated them getting back to me when I emailed her and would recommend them again. In fact, they're going to do another wedding in April for us. We just rented The Boss limo bus for a birthday bash and could not have been more happy that I found Limo4me. After exhaustively searching and reaching out to many companies, I promptly heard back from Cynthia. She explained everything thoroughly when booking and followed through up until the day of the event to confirm I had everything I needed before the big day. Our driver Victor was incredible. Showed up early, help me load everything, then made sure the bus was setup to my liking; from hooking up the awesome Bluetooth sound system, to making sure there was plenty of water and ice throughout the cabin. During our trip, and multiple stops, he was easy to communicate with and very prompt getting us to all location. He even contacted me the next day to meet up and give me all of our belongings that were left behind from the late night. I will definitely be using them again for my next event. Rented the Hollywood bus for my boyfriends 21st birthday. Mario helped me book the bus and our driver was Steven. We has a great time! Steven was friendly and got here a little early. He got us to our destinations in great time. The bus itself was really nice. Only downside was it was meant for 16-18 people and only 15 of us fit sitting down :/ Mario had told me the less the more comfortable but I didn't think it meant one of us would have to stand.
