So, so good! Just returned from our dinner and were blown away. The drinks were great, both the Cherry Blossom mocktail and the Limoncello 75. The Cherry Blossom starts with a sweet and tart cherry-lemon flavor and ends with the earthy pomegranate on each sip. We got the garlic knot appetizers which were piping hot, crispy on the outside, and soft inside. They also came with alfredo and marinara, which was nice. The pasta was super fresh and had a great bite. We finished with the birthday cake gelato, which comes with a piece of waffle cone. It had a nice sweet cream flavor, actually birthday cake and not just vanilla with sprinkles. The outside patio is super cute with a fountain and flowers, but we sat indoors because of the heat. They also have a nice card reader that comes out to the table for tapping to pay and automatic tip calculation. read more

I came to the limoncello stand at the saturday farmers market in downtown Greenville! They offer three different breakfast sandwiches and I got the egg, cheese and tomato option, which was great! Had wanted to stop and check this place out for quite a while. Friends have mixed reviews; some love it, others not at all. My wife and I decided to have lunch on a hot Saturday early afternoon. The place looks a bit tired, but nice overall. The waiter came quickly and got our drink orders. We place our orders - my wife Creamy Tuscan Chicken Pasta and I got the Salmon Piccata...sounded good. While it was around 20% capacity at the most, food took a long while to get to our table. The food temperature below normal, I suspect the food was done, but the waiter did not get it soon after done, so... My wife's pasta dish looked great, but it needed Parmesan cheese. We had to ask as none was offered or readily available. It took a few minutes to get it, waiter shredded it over our plates. My wife's dish tasted good, much better than mine for sure. My Salmon Piccata was near tasteless and almost dry. I asked the waiter for some lemon, he brought a small bowl with the lemon sauce the cook must use to make this dish. Wonder why he had some readily available, as it is usually produced as you cook it. I had to add some salt and black pepper to make the dish taste adequate. The salmon portion was good and tasty. But overall, for $27 not what you would expect for an Italian restaurant that tries to be upscale. You can see on the photo I took, the Salmon Piccata look very plain, it was. Even a little parsley on the top would make it at least look better, but well. So, our vote is we will pass and will not be returning. We've been there twice. Both times it was early evening and mostly open tables, but each time we've been seated right next to an occupied table. Once with a child and once with a loud person, both limiting our ability to talk. We asked to be moved the first time. It was a big deal for them (and embarrassing for us) so we suffered through the second. The food is pedestrian at best which reduces its value. Honestly, chain Italian restaurants have comparable food. Also, don't order an appetizer as it will come out shortly before your entree. Superb outdoor area on a busy street corner. Equipped with fountains, tables cover with umbrellas. Very comfortable. Eat outside if you have decent weather! Indoors is quite nice. Dark woods, a mural, nice and varied seating for good sized groups in booths, high tables for two, a variety of tables for various size groups. Very pleasant surroundings. We tried their signature Limoncello drink and were quite pleased with it. It's not cheap at $14, but was a delicious strong lemon drink with a noticeable amount of alcohol. We went with a pizza. The Perfect Pear Pizza which was a thin crust with very crispy pear slices and a balsamic drizzle. A strong dose of garlic, too. We thought the pizza was excellent. Service was great, friendly, prompt, adaptable to us moving indoors when rain hit the area... They also serve Gelato and Sorbet... We tried that as we left. Great experience. Spent just the day in Greenville and we were looking for a great Happy Hour! This cute restaurant has a large patio, right near the river and even has a stone fireplace if it's chilly outside. Inside has lots of tables and a large bar and a gelato counter!! We arrived around 4pm and their happy hour runs from 3-6pm! The bartender was super nice and very patient. The $5 sparkling rosé was delicious! They also had beer and other wines to choose from as well as $2 domestic bottles! The pepperoni, Sicilian and margherita pizzas were all half off during happy hour! We ordered the pepperoni which has peperoncinos (fun spicy touch) and the Sicilian. Both have tons of toppings! The pizzas were large and full of flavor. We also ordered the garlic knots and they might be my most favorite I've ever had! There's about 8 of them in the order and it comes with Alfredo and marinara sauce as dipping options. They were super delicious!! Very, very dense but very tasty! Perfect location next to Falls park in Greenville SC and perfect for sitting outside to eat. We started with Strawberry Ricotta toast and calamari. They very tasty. Our mock cocktail was a blueberry item that was very refreshing. We did wait on things because our server had to handle many tables at once. Then we ordered creamy Tuscan chicken and added shrimp delicious. Also ordered the perfect pear pizza was ok a little bland needed salt. Went this past weekend and had a reservation. When we arrived our table wasn't ready so we ate at the bar. I requested our appetizers (arancini and burrata) come out first, before our pizza. The server said they would put it all in at the same time since the pizza takes longer and they were busy. We received the pizza first, around 7-10 minutes before the appetizers. Burrata (7/10)- I didn't love the saltiness of the olive tapenade it was in. But the bread it was served with was delicious. Arancini (7/10) - this is served as 3 balls. One on top of pesto (which I found to be lacking favor). One on top of Alfredo sauce (also mild in flavor) and one on top of marinara. The marinara was delicious! We chose Limoncello based on a neighbor's recommendation, and also because it was a short walk to the Peace Center where we had tickets for Some Like It Hot (excellent production BTW!). We chose to sit outside and as it was a beautiful afternoon AND Prosecco Tuesday, so ordered a bottle for $15. It was served crispy cold, though in plastic glasses labeled with the name of the Prosecco (cannot recall) - which was a bummer, and a pet peeve of mine. Bubbly should always be served in glasses IMO and chilled glasses preferably! Anyway, onto the food.....we shared an appetizer of calamari that was yummy - a nice light batter and tasty dipping sauce. For a main, my husband had the Fettucini Alfredo with Shrimp, and I had the Salmon Picatta served over angel hair pasta. The salmon was excellent - (though I wasn't asked by our server how I preferred it, I made a point to request medium) and it was served exactly as requested and with tons of flavor. The Fettucini was "as expected" - nothing noteworthy but nothing to complain about either. The service was just okaaaaay......our server was not particularly helpful, friendly or attentive (I.e., we had to ask for bread, additional Parmesan, the check.....) but chalk it up to perhaps it was an off day. Upon that experience, we went there to celebrate two loved ones and had the worst experience! It took 2 1/2 hrs to get our order taken (not kidding here & we were seated) and food delivered - the 3 of us had our food delivered about 15 min apart from each other! No kidding here! Our appetizers took forever as did our drinks and our drinks were not refilled because our server did not check in - like no information forthcoming! And the food was just so so except for the bread which wasn't even warm. I ate the same thing fettuccine alfredo and it was lukewarm so gross! My previous experience- the bread was hot, the food hot, service excellent, food so so good! We tried Limoncello before a show at The Peace Center. It was a busy Friday night and 2 big groups in the back room so it was very loud. We were with another couple and it was very difficult to hear each other. The food was amazing! I had the saccetti & it was the best I have ever had. My husband had blackened chicken Alfredo and raved about it. Dessert was Cannelloni- almost as good as cannelloni at our favorite Italian bakery in NYC. Our waitress was spectacular. 3/4 of us had the restaurant week special deal and it was a phenomenal value where we got a drink, app, entree, and dessert for $35. The Limoncello 75 cocktail was absolutely delicious. I got the meatball app, chicken Alfredo, and a cannoli. They offer complimentary bread with an oil/balsamic dip that also was great with the sauce from my app. The chicken alfredo was the only thing that needed a bit of improvement, the chicken was overcooked, under seasoned and a bit tough. Had to add a good bit of salt and pepper to it to fix it up but it was a great meal nonetheless (I'll note that I didn't mention this to the server). Cannoli was delicious as well as the gelato my partner got. Our server let us sample several of the gelato flavors before choosing and I thought that was a really genuine and outstanding service moment you can't find just anywhere. I look forward to visiting again in nicer weather to enjoy the gorgeous patio dining they have out front. read more

The fettuccine was room temperature and the driest pasta I've ever had with barely any Alfredo sauce. The garlic knots were not that - it was a thick (either they didn't let the yeast rise properly or they weren't cooked through), deep fried ball with 0 garlic. I also got a soda to drink and was never offered a refill - thankfully there was a carafe of water at the table so I had something to drink. I dined with 2 others. One ordered the Bisque & What Knot (tomato bisque, mozzarella stuffed garlic knot), the soup was good but the garlic knots were weird. This spot has a good ambience outside, has delicious food overall, but leaves a little to be desired in terms of cocktails, service and efficiency! I will say- my husband really enjoyed his Italian Margarita cocktail, but my aperol spritz was served in a small wine glass and not mixed together, yet cost $14. I don't generally think that's great value for a cocktail. For appetizers, we got burrata and arancini- the arancini was perfect but the burrata could have been served with a little more bread, only three small slices for a decent portion of burrata, greens and tomatoes. Free bread also seems supposed to be served to each table (as some tables near us had it and some did not) but we had to request ours, and our plates were slow to get cleared from the table. Servers were pretty nice but made several mistakes and actually delivered us the wrong plates of entrees, meant for the table next to us, and obviously had to get taken away once the mistake was realized- they did make it right and brought ours out quickly. Not sure if I would come back again, but if I do I would definitely want to sit outside and try a different drink! read more

Up front, I am giving an extra star for our star server, Matt. He was excellent in service from attentiveness to recommendations, drinks, clearing appetizer dishes, just spot on great service. Matt also pointed out the best wine deal is the $15 carafe, which is about 2 1/2 glasses or so. Pleasant experience. Otherwise, it was okay, three stars, for many of the reasons others have mentioned here, but for succinctness, the food quality is lower and the prices were higher in a mismatch relative to others in this category and space. Even with the outstanding location and atmosphere, the great front lawn for al fresco dining with cool Edison lighting, the open floor plan and cool bar area, the food needs to be stepped up a notch or two. Great service & great atmosphere cannot overcome just "okay" food. I had the arancini appetizer which is a risotto ball stuffed with buffalo mozzarella, lightly breaded and fried with three servings on marinara, Alfredo and pesto sauces. It was amazingly bland, even with salt. It looks great, is well portioned, but did not come across as composed flavors, merely bland. The Caesar salad was also well portioned, but it was $12. Based on other reviews, and this being an Italian restaurant, I figured the safest entree bet involved the meatballs. They are about the size of a racquetball. So I had the spaghetti and meatballs since it had two (for $20) as opposed to the Triumph Pasta ($26 plus another $6 if you added a meatball to this pesto sauced, cheese stuffed pasta). The meatballs were not overly filled with binderand had a good constitution, but were very single note flavored of Italian spices rather than any umami from a sausage blend. But they were okay. My wife had the Creamy Tuscan chicken, penne, spinach, roasted tomatoes, crispy prosciutto, basil, creamy tomato sauce - she said it was just okay and did not elaborate other than to say she would not order it again. I think that I read a review in here that said come to the bar and order the meatball appetizer, to which I would add, and the carafe of wine, and that is the winning move here. My wife and I ate here for brunch today. Our waitress - the saving grace of the experience - was as nice as she could be. However, it took over 1/2 an hour to even be able to place an order because the restaurant was so understaffed. I get that this is an issue for a lot of service industries and am willing to chill on expectations, up to a point. However, when it takes 15-20 minutes to get something from the bar it becomes borderline ridiculous. 30 minutes after placing the order for our main courses (both of which were recommended by our server), the poor girl came back to inform us that they were out of the main ingredient for one of our dishes. So, my wife and I decided to split her dish between us in the interest of time. When we finally got the Chicken Risotto, the (bone-in) chicken breast was overdone and the risotto was below room temperature. We got a replacement dish and it was definitely edible. By edible, I mean that it was about the level I can make at home if I decided to baptize my food in garlic while overcooking my chicken breast. The couple next to us sat for 15 minutes without anyone even taking their drink orders and then gave up on the restaurant and left without anyone even noticing. We never saw a manager, but I can understand why they were probably not wanting to interact with any customers. However, to send your waitress out to bear the brunt of your mismanagement seems fairly cowardly. There are so many great places to eat in Greenville that I'm not even remotely tempted to give this place another try. read more
