I've only had this place twice. The first time I walked down from the cigar lounge and I got two dozen wings and an order of fries and everything was absolutely delicious. This time after work, I decided to get some wings and fries for myself to go. When I got home and opened the container, I was kind of disappointed because two of my wings had feathers all on them. When searching for a happy hour spot, I look for PCP. P=Parking (easy + free preferably), C=Cheap, & P=Patio. LPP has all three. The patio is fenced in and pretty large. Inside they have pool and foozball. Most of the food is fried but not bad. The drinks are affordable and they have a decent selection of beers, both canned and bottled. The bathroom is not tidy. There is a faint sewer smell. It is also down a set of pretty steep stairs. I didn't see an elevator (it's an old dive bar) so if you have mobility limitations, keep that in mind. One of the only normal bars around Tremont. Tuesday Taco night is always one of the busiest nights. Rumor is that the building was an old funeral home. That is all that I think of when I enter the bar now. The patio is really enjoyable in the summer. The servers and bartenders are nice people. It is usually a friendly crowd that comes here. Nothing is better than cheap, tasty beers to wash down the delectable tacos you're about to consume. You'll have a choice of black bean, beef or a combo of both--$1 each! Lincoln Park Pub fries up their tortillas fresh and serves their tacos up hot, medium or mild. You read that right! They put hot sauce on their tacos! Brilliant! You can order extra toppings to come with your tacos, but I like to keep it simple. If anything, I'll order a side of guac and chips, which are made from pita! The service can be a little so-so on busy nights like Tuesday. I usually have to flag a waitress down to get their attention. But, it's a delicious food and drinks for cheap. It's packed! These people are running around like chickens with their heads cut off. I like to cut them some slack. My next point of action is to get to LPP on a night other than Tuesday and try some of the other specials on their menu. Taco Tuesdays Many moons ago, I used to go to LPP's Taco Tuesdays but they had lost their touch. I stopped going to LPP all together. I recently went back and am so glad that I did. The bean/beef $2 combo is tasty. If they have the steak/chipotle taco special, try it. The $2 (and odd change) Mexican beers are pretty sweet too. Just in case you had the same opinion of LPP like I did, the interior is the same as it was 15 years ago. The restrooms are still in basement (plumbing has appeared to be in better shape than yesteryear). And they have a gargantuan patio in the back. Service is hit or miss. I got a special place in my heart for this little one. A hidden gem. Reminds me a lot of my hometown sports bar, but better since it has a fireplace!!! Ok, there's room for improvement because of two reasons: 1) this was my first time here 2) maybe other food options will be better So I LOVE tacos / Mexican. I saw the reviews for the tacos here and they were all or mostly all of them were good to very good. Naturally, I had to give taco night a go .. Well, I must admit I was very disappointed. They are definitely nothing I would brag about or tell my friends it's a place we need to go or go back to. Maybe they would be better at 2:30 am but taco night only goes until midnight.. I had the combo and the special. The special tonight was steak (the type of steak is escaping me) but the steak itself was actually pretty good as far as taste goes. The combo (black beans and beef) was not very good at all. I'm a sauce fanatic. When the waitress named off the sauces I asked for 3 on the side.. I got 1 and it wasn't one I asked for. Furthermore, the sauce was buffalo sauce! You know, the kind you would put on chicken wings...for tacos?! Gross. Finally, our waitress was pretty terrible. It took her forever to come to our table initially and the time or two she stopped to check in she pretty much did so in passing. I stopped in here during Yelp Drinks week for a half priced long island. It was the first stop on our Yelp Shuffle de Tremont and it was a good one. I do hate going there in the winter tho bc I swear that building only heated by the fire place. Drinks are also cheap. This is my favorite bar in Cleveland/Tremont. It is your basic comfy hole in the wall bar & does not try to be anything but. The food is amazing and affordable. Taco Tuesdays are THE best, they have cheap tacos & specials on mexican beers, margaritas & $1off tequila. Tuesday is the ONLY night when there is a server so that is a plus as well. I read other reviews of people complaining about not getting server at tables but it is POSTED that there is no server on duty & that you must go to the bar to order. I can also attest that if the bartender is able they wil stil try their best to work the bar AND come to your table as often as possible, IF POSSIBLE. This review is for the bartender that waited on a friend and myself, the afternoon of Sunday July 19th. First, I have been to this bar many times and its been decent...taco nights are good........no real complaints aside from it smelling like someone or something died in the bathrooms. Second, we are both bartenders and were simply amazed at how bad this bartender was. There was exactly 8 people sitting at the bar (including us) it was not busy at all and she was miserable and rude. We placed our orders of a Labatt Blue draft and the "fabulous" Bloody Mary......She poured my Labatt with basically 1/3rd foam...I'm not being nit-picky, but no joke like 2 drinks were taken out after the foam subsided. She then poured the bloody mary with vodka first...then poured the Tabasco Bloody Mary mix right over top.....didnt bother to stir it...just layered it. Then proceeded to jam her hand into a huge pickle jar and pull out 2 or 3 pickles with her fingers and drop them into the glass. Then came the "thats $8....no $9 dollars please"...... NINE DOLLARS FOR WHAT???? A terrible pour of a beer and quite possibly the worst bloody mary Ive ever seen.....Bartending is a SERVICE industry and she was awful....... read more

I came here on a Thursday night a few weeks ago, and had a pretty good time. My friends suggested we do dinner here, which is more like taking advantage of the specials of the day than sitting down for a true "meal." My husband and his friend got the super-cheap wings ($0.30 with a six-wing minimum) and they found them pretty hearty and the sauce adequately spicy. I opted for something a little more sandwichy, and got the "Best Grilled Cheese Ever" with Chicken. I definitely didn't think it was the best grilled cheese ever, but not because it didn't taste good. Rather, you sorta want the best grilled cheese ever to remind you, at least in some way, of the wonder-bread sandwich soaked in butter with Kraft singles oozing out the sides. This was more like a wannabe "gourmet" variation, on rosemary ciabatta with mozzarella and tomato pesto. It was good, especially with the chicken, but it wasn't..."Cruncheweesy," if ya know what I mean. Yeah, I totally stole that from the Taco Bell commercial. The jukebox was my favorite part of this place. They seemed to have a '90s alternative thing going, making me think it might not have been a jukebox but a satellite radio station or even Pandora. (By the way, if I could rate Pandora on Yelp, I'd give it 10 million stars.) They also have Blue Moon on tap--a plus for me, given my penchant for wheat beer--but it kinda tasted funny. I didn't order another, despite the low price tag. But still, when it comes to bar food and a low-key, grungy atmosphere, this place was pretty good. However, they don't seem to really know if they want to be a bar or a restaurant, because when we sat at a high table (I hate those, btw) near the bar, with expectant "we're going to order food" looks on our faces, we got ignored until one of us actually went up to the bar and requested menus. The number of neighborhood bar's seem to be falling as more expensive gastro pub/occasional spots increase. This is unfortunate as a beer and a burger shouldn't be a $20 outing. Thankfully, Lincoln Park Pub exists! While this spot is known for its Taco Tuesday's, there's some sort of discount food option every day. Low cost, yet really freaking good burger's on Wednesday; wings with a number of sauce and dry rub options on Thursday, and so on. There's something every night. They also have drink specials each night too. Even if they got rid of the specials, the whole menu is super affordable and tasty. It's bar food done right. I especially like how it's not a hassle for a Celiac sufferer like me to get proper service. It may take some questions with the kitchen to ensure I don't end up suffering later in the evening, but service is great and they totally take care of me. All the bartenders are super friendly and treat everyone great even if it's their first time at the joint. Overall, I'm glad neighborhood bars like this still exist and I hope the LPP sticks around for a long long time. I went for a taco Tuesday/happy hour night with some friends about a month ago, not expecting too much of a bar, and just wanting an inexpensive meal. We went on a weekday in the early evening, and it was moderately crowded, but not full. Before we received our menus, our waitress asked us if we wanted chips and salsa for the table, which we accepted. Unfortunately, we wrongfully assumed that these chips and salsa were complimentary, as they are at many restaurants, and did not realize that they were listed on the menu until we received our menus, after we had begun to eat them. After a few bites, we deemed them inedible, and left them sitting on the table. We ordered our tacos, which were mediocre (but I didn't have a problem with that, since they were, after all, bar tacos). The waitress confused all of our orders, switching the quantity of tacos between two and switching the spice level of the tacos between another two. We didn't realize that the spiciness of the two orders had been mixed up until it was time to pay, but we mentioned the discrepancy in the quantity between the two other orders, and the waitress courteously filled the missing quantity. When it was time to pay, and the chips and salsa were billed on one person's check, I told the waitress that we did not expect to pay for the chips and salsa when we were not familiar with the menu and didn't even eat them because they were so gross. She stared at me blankly, and as I asked her if she understood what I was saying, she sort of smirked and moved on. I know it may have been a bad day, a bad waitress, whatever, but I didn't really want to spend the energy to get the manager so I moved on, too. Her indifferent attitude was baffling, though. Even if she had apologized for the misunderstanding it would have been better than nothing. My beer was extremely mediocre, but that was my own fault because I experimented with their cheaper selection. I know some people really like Lincoln Pub, so I'd be willing to give it another shot if it was convenient -- I'll just try to avoid that waitress. read more

They are usually short staffed so plan on being a little more understanding than your typical restaurant stop. I mean, look around - all the tables are full. Give them a break. The LPP tacos are in my opinion, some of the best tacos around. For $1.25 you can order from a plethora of sauces and their Mexican beers are all discounted too. The LPP tacos are fried tortilla shells so they are sort of a mix between a hard and soft shell. Plus so long as you're there on a good night, the meat/bean flavored with their delicious sauce is absolutely to die for! I want to eat 4...or maybe 5 and feel sick afterwards! So check it out. Cleveland is a lot cooler than its reputation and actually a lot cooler than the people who live there, who have a massive inferiority complex and who never seem to leave, think it is. Lincoln Park Pub is the kind of place that makes Cleveland cool. It's a bar. As such, there are drunk people, dartboards, and bathrooms with ads over the urinals. But the drunk people aren't wasted, and if you come often enough, the waitresses will start hooking you up, seriously. I used to come every Tuesday with my roommates when I was a poor volunteer. That was when they had $1 tacos. I've heard that the tacos are now either $1.25 or $1.50. That's some mighty high inflation, but the tacos are OK for bar food. (Warning: They're not really tacos--they're either black beans or ground meat within folded tortillas.) This place gets bonus points because it's in Tremont, which is really freaking cool. UPDATE: 1/5/14 ============= The time-space continuum has advanced or regressed or remained in stasis long enough that I can now safely namedrop Katesie. I went here for Taco Tuesday last week and it didn't disappoint. Taco Tuesday has gained momentum in the Cleveland area and this place could easily be in the rotation. They served some nice, cheap, traditional tacos. I tried the beef, chicken, and pulled pork. All 3 were delicious and all 3 three resembled an actual taco. They didn't have pepsi braised pork loin, with garlic cilantro aioli, and napa valley slaw. The LPP tacos had meat, lettuce, tomato, taco sauce, and cheese. The way it should be. Also, the Mexican beers are on special. There's nothing better than a $2 Tecate. The one draw back was the level of hipsters who also frequent the place. read more

Let me begin with a confession; I love Lincoln Park Pub! It's close to my house, the service is always friendly and ready to suggest a new IPA for my sipping pleasure, darts, billiards, it's a hotspot for loony locals, and the kitchen is quite good too (taco Tuesday anyone?). I feel right at home here, and it's not just because I enjoy dive bars! The staff is great and I've even been approached several times by the cooks asking me if my food was good, which it always is.
