Linda's Nails was such an amazing experience for me and my seven bridesmaids! We were celebrating my bachelorette and we had a great time. The staff was very attentive and communicative. Additionally, they had some goodies set up for us to help us celebrate! It was so cute and thoughtful!

Edges are not clean, painted over my cuticles

Unfortunately I wasn't happy with my nails. I did a dip manicure because of my nails thinning, but the gentleman who helped me did not evenly dip my nails, nor did he clean the sides or file the powder down enough to leave them smooth. He also didn't clean my cuticles and instead painted over them.

Basically, I was pretty scared to come in here after looking at some of the reviews, but was pleasantly surprised and got just what I asked for. The staff was very kind and it had a good vibe. The only thing I would change the base color to my acrylics is too pink.

I'm new to dip but either they didn't put enough coats or their powders are bad. The nail color is see through and inconsistent. Looks amateur and unfinished and I didn't notice it until I walked outside. However the Gel pedicure and rest of service to remove old acrylic and shape the nails was good.

This place is absolutely terrifying. It smells like a toxic chemicals with all of the acrylic dust and zero ventilation. My gel pedicure didn't cure properly and peeled 2 hours after we got home. The acrylic nails my daughters got peeled off in 2 days. Run, don't walk from this place.

Cut my finger then said oh $5 off so for $50 they will cut it off?

Great experience at this nail salon! Walked in chancing my arm without an appointment and they took me straight away. I had a shellac manicure done and Ti (Tee?) did my nails and she was very careful and lovely too! She spent time on the cuticles which doesn't always happen so I was thrilled! Love the colour and just hoping they last a couple of weeks:) read more

Agreed with previous reviews - This place does not even deserve 1 star!!! I came here with my best friend and her mom for my friend's wedding later that evening. From Sacramento, we didn't really know what kind of place this was. Apparently someone in Tahoe recommended my friend go to this place!!! Were they on drugs?! I arrived to find a less than average looking salon. I wasn't about to judge, so I just went along with it since it was our girls date. I decided to go "all out" for a simple manicure and pedicure and get the "deluxe" deal which was $10 more than a regular mani/pedi. Ok so the foot soak was nice, the parrafin was nice, the leg rub was nice. But I wanted my nails done. The man who was working with me didn't put a base coat on my toe nails. I thought that was off. Well, that was Sunday...today is Wednesday and my nail polish is already coming off. Also, they didn't put much clear coat on my toenails. My nails looked like my niece could have painted them. As far as my nails go, I needed some help. I'm not your average prissy girl. I get dirt under my nails. I told this to the nail guy. I said that they should be cleaned underneath - why should they not? He agreed casually yet did nothing about it. He was done with me before I knew it and I was sent to the dryers for my nails to dry. Immediately my nails had bubbles. So did my best friends nails - the bride! And she got a french manicure! Unacceptable!!! I brushed off the bubble issue since we were on a time crunch and really we never go out to get our nails done together.... Well later that day as once could imagine, there was a lot to do to get ready for the evening wedding. It wasn't long before my nails were completely f*cked up as if I'd done them myself. Today, Wednesday, my nails look like SH*T. The paint is chipped, cracked and dented/smudged. My poor friend's mom paid for the 3 of us - my mani/pedi ALONE was $60!!!! $60 FOLKS!!!!! Never again never again - I URGE YOU: DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE BUSINESS. LET THEM FADE OUT........................... read more

Never again. I am giving this nail salon two stars - one for cleanliness and one for friendliness. Beyond that, they don't deserve any stars because the manicure I had was the worst I've ever had in my life. I had gel polish on my nails and needed to take it off, and thought it would be a quick and easy thing do to while in Truckee and requires little skill since I wanted clear polish on my nails and nothing else. I wish I would have waited until I was back home...ugh....anyway, the young lady that removed the gel polish was not experienced, and I would even question if she has a cosmetology license. Once the gel polish was removed, my nails were fairly long and I wanted them a bit shorter. I asked her to make them a bit shorter. She quickly cut my nails down so far that it was ridiculous looking, and actually right down to the quick. On top of that, they are CROOKED, every finger has one side longer than the other, but there was no way I was going to have her file them straight since that would make them even SHORTER. Perhaps the other technicians are better, but the one that looks super young should not be doing nails until she learns how to do them. She said sorry a bunch of times, but sorry doesn't help or fix it. read more

Donna has been doing my nails for about a year now. Prior to finding her, I could never find a place that was consistently good. I won't go anywhere else now. Donna always does a wonderful job. I am picky...I want to keep my own nail and have a very thin layer of acrylic and as you can see I enjoy mixing colors. Every month I change the colors. Donna puts a tremendous effort into them each and every time. If you're looking for someone to do a consistently excellent job, Donna is your person! read more

Called for an appointment for my daughter and myself, showed up at appointment time. Sat outside for 25 minutes and then they told me only had room for 1 person. I asked how long for both of us and they told me to come back later or the following day?!?! Been coming to this place since they opened. Will not be coming back. read more

I have been here twice while vacationing in Tahoe. And I truly am impressed by the service. I had pink and white full set of nails done and Donna did an amazing job. Most recently I went in for a manicure and pedicure once again an outstanding job was done. Linda's Nails was fantastic for our bridal party mani/pedi session! We called for appointments for 5 adults and one flower girls and they could not have been more lovely accommodating us! We needed to add an extra adult and were running late the Thursday morning of our appointment but called and they said we were all set! Thanks so much. We had some regular and some Gel mani and pedis along with last minute additions to add some eyebrow waxing. Could not be happier with the service and out results. I love this place! I was searching for a good and consistent nail salon in Tahoe/Truckee and then I found Linda's Nails. I tried all the other nails salons in town and was happy one time and then disappointed the next. This is not the case at Linda's nails. They are nice and always honor your appointments. If you are looking for somewhere that consistently does a good job, you have to come here. Ask for Tee! read more

I walked in today around 5:30pm. I got to sit in a nice massage chair immediately. The service was nice and friendly. The basic pedi comes with a mandarin scrub, lotion massage, and hot stone massage. It was a nice, clean, relaxing experience. I will recommend and return. read more

Yuck yuck yuck! The gentleman cut my nails awful I like short nails but they were all completely uneven. The best part was the foot massage. By the next day I had the worst crack in the heel of my foot. I've never had a heel crack before ever. Now for my manicure it was ehhhh... he cut so much of my cuticles their still peeling and hurt. He polished my nails so poorly when my friends saw them they laughed. Seriously read more

I decided to try Linda's Nails for the first time. I noticed their Yelp reviews had gotten much better so why not. Came in for a pedicure. The salon is very clean. The massage chairs are super comfy. David, the technician honestly gave me the BEST pedicure I have ever had. He was very through, gentle, and pleasant. I am so happy to have finally found a great place in Truckee that is NOT more miss than hit! I will absolutely be back. read more

Terrible. I got a gel manicure/pedicure on Friday and have four chipped nails by Monday. This never happens with gel manicure. So awful. Don't go here. What a rip off for $93.00 including the tip. I normally go to Soak Spa in Reno and this never happens. read more

Went and got a shellac manicure today. The guy who did them worked at the last station and did a great job! He obviously cared that I was happy with what my nails looked like and perfected each one. It was a little pricey, but I expect that in a tourist town. I think it was $35 for shellac and a manicure, but I gave $40. Worth it! read more

Just got out of this nail salon. My pedicure went alright an older lady with orange hair put no effort she did everything rushed. Then I did my manicure and it went downhill from there. My nails look demented. I showed her a picture of how I wanted my nails to look and she completely did something different. After I told her I wasn't happy with how they were looking.. she started screaming like a psycho in her language.. I got a phone call and I answered then she cut my pinky and she said " .. see this why I can't do them" and wtf I'm going a wedding this weekend I'm a bridesmaid so embarrassing .. on top of that they charged me 100 dollars I'm not picky with my nails but my nails seriously look disgusting. If you ever go to this salon please avoid getting her she's worst and if you complain.. she gets mad and doesn't care. Then this young girl that works there came over and she told me I needed to do them longer in order to get the shape I wanted and I told the young girl I had showed the older lady the picture and the young girl looked at my nails laughing and walked away.. felt like everyone was laughing at my nails .. including my own sister was laughing that's how bad of a job she did . Worst experience ever!! read more

A very simple, cute spa. I walked in and was taken care of immediately. There was no over powering sent of nail polish like there is in most spas. The smell usually gives me a headache but I was pleased to find that the smell wasn't overwhelming. The nail technician took her time and perfected my nails which I appreciated. Wow..finally a place that can do a pedicure!!! Went after work and got right in. Everyone has been super friendly! Hanna started my pedicure and everything from the nice warm water to the 3-step massage ( scrub, massage then hot stone) to the finishing nail color. I will absolutely be returning. I've tried all the nail salons in Truckee and I've found the one. Donna & her team are all professionals, they speak English well, very clean environment, convenient location and just fun place to be to have your hands + toes pampered! I have tried most other nail salons in Truckee, and Linda's Nails is by far the best. They are thorough and careful, give wonderful leg massages with their pedicures, and are super friendly and accommodating. I live locally and have a pedicure here at least once a month. I give Linda's Nails my highest recommendation--if there were 10 stars they would get all 10 from me! read more

the star is for the massage i got on my hands after I got a set of acrylics, but besides that the set of acrylics i got were so thick, and crooked the guy was using old files and he cut me twice, he was not gentle on my nails. and the price was so high for what i got.. and to top it off two days later i started to see lifting and the next day 3 nails came off just like that, I went back that next day and they said they were really busy and maybe "maybe later" they can fix them. never going back. read more

I didn't expect a pedicure to be this nice. These guys are great and spent a ton of time on the massage part (and used a sea salt scrub). I'll definitely come back when I'm in town. Such a great experience. read more

Oh my goodness! I can't believe that this place hasn't been shut down! It's awful! The people are so rude, and don't even listen to what you want! The pedicure stations are gross and unclean. They don't even listen to you or ask you what you want or don't want (which is everything!) and they totally just dump on the nail polish so it never dries, and it's too pricey! Don't go there if you know what's good for you. read more

I've been coming here for years and David gives the best haircut I've ever had, every single time he cuts my hair. I refuse to go to anyone else. my mom and dad get their pedicure and nails done here and they love it . The staff is friendly and the service is excellent! Definitely recommend!!! read more

However, two employees did go out of their way to greet the man next to me, with one apologizing for the wait and assuring him she would be with him soon. I was getting close to just walking out because at about 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, when someone finally came over and asked for my name. My stylist never introduced herself, so while she was nice enough, I don't even know her name (and she isn't listed on the website, either). I got a simple shampoo & blowout, and during the shampoo she used the hottest water I've had in a salon. She did not ask me if the temperature was okay, if I had a preference, or check in with me at all -- and I'm the kind of person who likes a super hot shower, so I was surprised by how hot the water was even to me (it was fine for me, but I know that is way beyond lots of people's heat tolerance level). I am sure she would have changed the temperature if asked, but never in my life has a stylist just not checked in on that during a wash. The blowout itself really did come out nice, but I was also surprised by how old the salon is. I think me and my stylist were the only people under like 60 years old in there, so it may be more geared towards an elderly demographic. I am glad I got the stylist I did, because I have never felt so disrespected in a hair salon before (by the other staff) and am honestly still in shock with how little regard the employees had for a customer. Some of them were sitting down and waiting for timers, so it's not like no one was available to greet me, either. Not to mention, I had to wait more than 15 minutes after my appointment time to be acknowledged -- it's not asking a lot to simply be informed if they are running behind. Especially since the man next to me was given that courtesy and respect! I would never go back and would not recommend it, despite the fact that my hair did come out nice at the end of the day. It was just such a bad experience overall, though my stylist really did seem sweet (she is the sole reason I gave 2 stars and not 1), unlike the rest of the staff. The salon itself is also tiny, crowded, hot (they seemingly have no A/C and just kept the door open), and not well ventilated. Save your time and money -- there are lots of other great options in town.

I got a gel mani pedi and had two technicians working on that at once. They worked well together to make sure it was okay for the other to move my legs or hands, so that it wouldn't disrupt the process. The hot stone massage was a nice touch as well! I like my nails really short and they did well with that -- everything came out great and was done quickly. Also, I'm not really a talker and I appreciated that they let me be in silence throughout my appoinment (but they had no problem chatting with some other customers wanted to have a conversation). The only downside or thing to be aware of is that its cash only. There is an ATM inside, just something that caught me a little off guard.

Past the relaxation room is where all of the message rooms are. And there are I'd say they have close to 20 rooms. They have a lot back there! The staff is very well trained and does a great job to make sure you are as comfortable as possible! They even offer alcohol that's included if you want it. The only thing to be aware of is that the services are pricey. Around $300+ for each service. But I think worth it in my opinion.

Lindas nails is the one stop shop for everyone. Lindas nails is a family run business that has everything for both males and females. My lady and i come here regularly because it's not only a nail shop but also the best barber shop in town! While my girl is getting her nails done which are always done perfectly "on fleek" along with a massage im able to kick back with David (the barber) relax in a great environment and get one of the best cuts iv ever had. Linda's Nails is a wonderful spot to treat yourself to a relaxing nail experience. The calm atmosphere and soft lighting make it a great place to unwind. I worked with a talented nail designer who looked at my inspiration photo and suggested adding a fun twist with creative "gems" in the center of the flowers. Had a wax here the other day and I'm not sure if the wax wasn't hot enough or too hot, an extra layer of skin also came off with wax, have a small abrasion from it. Love here locally, would not recommend. Staff were all extremely friendly when I walked in, they took me back immediately. read more
