This is a high-end archival piece that sells for about $1,600 on luxury sites like 1stDibs. When I got the dress back, the sheer mesh that holds the leaf designs together was completely shredded and ripped. You can actually see the healthy mesh on one side of the dress, but on the other side, it's just gone or torn away. Now there are just frayed fibers sticking to the leaves like Velcro, which makes the dress unwearable. This was a collector's item and it was clearly not handled with the care a designer piece requires. I have photos of the damage and the 1stDibs valuation. I was looking for someone to tailor my daughter's graduation dress. My daughter goes to school up…read morenorth and was only going to be in town 3ish days; one of those days being a holiday. I reached out to Alina about 3 1/2 weeks ago and explained our situation and our short time frame. Alina was very quick to respond to my messages and was a great communicator. I explained to her our situation and she did not hesitate to help. We arrived at her house Saturday morning and expected to pick up the dress Monday but by Saturday late afternoon she informed us she had finished the dress. We were unable to pick up the dress Saturday evening and due to the holiday we agreed to keep our Monday morning pick up time. When we picked up the dress my daughter tried on the dress and it was an absolute perfect fit. My daughter's exact words when we zipped up the dress , " OMG it's perfect!"
