Linda's is great! I am addicted to their fried cheese curds, which I believe to be my favorite that I've tried in Seattle. I admit I am new to cheese curds as of this year, but I've had them at two other spots not too far away and these beat them out in my book. They apparently use young cheddar in their fried cheese curds though, which according to my friend is not standard, and as a Wisconsinite, is actually bad hahaha, but my naive tastebuds disagree. I've also been here for an actual meal and not to indulge my cheese curd addiction, and the food was surprisingly good for what I expected to be run of the mill bar food. Our server was super helpful and put in an order for a steak salad for me, which was apparently something slightly off menu, and it was delicious. The back patio eating area is surprisingly very cute and vibey and well decorated, again, something I was not expecting from the way the front and immediate inside of the establishment look (very, very divey!). Highly recommend this place for a lively night out, or for a quick to-go order of their fried cheese curds for the late night munchies. Keep in mind that the kitchen closes at midnight though, and probably add a 10 minute buffer of 11:50 for you to safely get a food order in. read more

Linda's Tavern located in the Capitol Hill area is the place to go for brunch on the weekends, they have mimosa pitchers and a pretty good menu. My friends that are local here say they come here on Sundays. They have both indoor, outdoor, and bar seating. There's a bar inside and outside. We came here Friday afternoon for a round of drinks and also ordered some nachos which were really good. We drunkenly took photos in the Photobooth and we couldn't see the screen to see if we fit or not. We came back Sunday afternoon in between brunch and dinner but we were still able to order a pitcher of mimosa and my friends all ordered their food. The happy meal looked good and the entire menu looked pretty good. You can also bring your dogs here. There's a smoking area in the back. Service was great and fun bar to be at! read more

This is a quintessential dive bar. My wife and I stopped in here for a drink after an event last Tuesday. We had a good time just hanging out. I love Linda's, I'm honestly surprised I haven't reviewed this place. Many fun nights of bar hopping and a few times I've blacked out and had no idea I came here haha. My last visit was a bit more wholesome, just wanted catch up with my friend over a couple drinks and some food. She snagged us seats out back and luckily it was a beautiful day. There was a few doggos out back with their owners, I love seeing dogs at bars, great little distraction. Anyways drinks were great, we both ordered a classic burger with mozzarella stick to share. Service was even better, loveeed our server. They were so friendly and personable! I'll be back, I always come back to this place haha. Been here many times. Linda is a staple in the community. Always a great place for a chill time. When the weather is good, the patio is a great space. And they are also dog friendly! Happy hour from 4-6. This time we enjoyed a beer and Kentucky mule plus Nachos with carne asada. The drinks are consistently good and the food as well. Have done brunch here as well with a nice size serving of food! Most of the time the service is great! They are attentive when it's slow. If it's really busy... well, I give them a bit of grace. We were there for an hour and multiple tables who arrived after us got their food before us. We had to leave because we waited so long and never got our food. I understand they may have been busy but wow an hour and nothing? Very disappointed. The drink was okay. Wish I could have tried their food but it probably wasn't gonna be worth an hour long wait. A must for Nirvana fans. Allegedly the last place Kurt Cobain was seen alive. The vibes are upbeat, chill, and grunge-y. My go-to dive bar for friend hang outs, brunch, first dates, and grabbing a quick drink. I always order their Bloody Mary. They stick celery, carrots, olives, pepperoncinis, and green beans in a mildly spicy tomato mix. Can't go wrong with their Cowboy Burger and Linda's Burger for dinner. Brunch food is good, nothing out of the ordinary. I have only been once though. Plenty of seating for big groups. Smoking is allowed in the back outside. read more

Went to Linda's Tavern on a Wednesday night around 7 to grab a beer and a burger. The beer was cold and the burger & fries came out quick and was hot. Great spot to grab a drink and a bite to eat. The service was attentive and friendly, in less than 15 minutes we had our food and a pitcher of beer. Had a dive bar like ambiance but was cozy and nice to be in. I decided to stop in at Linda's Tavern for a pint or 2. It was mostly empty and I recalled Anthony Bourdain saying something about having a pint at a mostly empty bar at 4 pm. So I did. What a cozy dive bar. The bartender was really attentive and super nice. We even shared a laugh or two. They also have an outside patio which looked pretty cool to hang out at during the warmer September afternoons. I'll definitely be back the next time I visit my home away from home. read more

Came here while i was exploring downtown with my Labrador pupper. These folks are cool with dogs in their outdoor patio. Though the weather was a bit cold, there are nice heaters back there, so you should be okay. Ordered the Jimmy's pesto, with English muffin. The omlette was excellent, fresh pesto, sun dried tomatoes, and bacon bits in there. Pup had his own little lunch snack. Obviously not from my plate, but I had packed his own meal separately. Oh Linda's. So many memories. So many brunches and drinks consumed here over the years. It really hasn't changed in the last decade or so and I am thankful for that consistency. Love they put umbrellas for the intense sun in the back patio area! What is there to say about the food? It's consistent, delicious, and filling. Just the perfect place to nurse that hangover with a little hair of the dog or have a complete booze free brunch with unlimited coffee. The only downside is the coffee cups they've used for years only hold like 3 ounces and it cannot be refilled quickly enough. Small downside as the service is always great here. Solid 3 star "dive" bar. Only had beer and French fries but those were good. The servers and staff were good. They allowed people to move around tables and chairs to accommodate different sized groups. The bathroom floor was a bit scary, but it's a dive bar so expectations are low. The music is entirely too loud. As I am writing this, my throat is raspy because I had to yell the entire time to people at my table. Overall, decent place. However, I just wanted to pop on to say how friendly the staff is here and how good their covid precautions seem. Plenty of plastic barriers around and spaced out seating. Only had chips and salsa, but the salsa was great (slightly spicy with flavor but not overwhelming) and the chips are very thick and crunchy! Cool music and a good place to hang out for late night in the area. They have charging ports which is a huge plus when you've been on the town and you need enough charge to catch an ride-share! Showed up at Linda's tavern for brunch after a Rowing class across the street at Rival Fitness. After being exhausted and starving we were seated right away and outside. (All the guests that were there that day probably had a huge sigh of relief because we were gross.) It was so hard to decide since the menu has so many different options. I finally ordered the Rio Grande Scramble and asked for the biscuit instead of toast. (When homemade biscuit is offered I don't pass that up!) The biscuit was delicious. Crispy on the outside (crunchy if that's a better term) and soft and smooth on the inside. The flavor of the biscuit was good. The scramble was delicious as well, but to be honest I was disappointed with the amount of avocado that was on my scramble. It wasn't even close to what I had seen on others pictures of their Rio Grande Scramble. It only lasted through maybe three bites of my food. I think this bar is having an identity crisis. It's not gramable enough for Gen-Z, but not gritty enough for Gen-X/Millenials. Who is the intended clientele? I will never come back here ever again. This is my second time at this place and the food portion was so small compared to the price. We are a big group and come here often, The last time I came here I tipped, this time I couldn't afford to tip (I'm an unemployed student), and my group already tipped enough. The server embarrassed me in front of everyone by asking if they did not do a good job and kept pressing me by asking if they didn't do a good job. I have to say I'm broke. The tip is optional, don't put pressure on people to tip you, some people are just broke and can't afford more. This is the first time something like this happened to me. I guess I will never go here again because I know if I don't tip I will be humiliated.
