Service was great. Ambiance was unique with retro decor and lots of black lights and such. The drinks were just ok. The drink menu was also not particularly interesting to us. I had read there was vinyl here, but I didn't really see any or understand how that came into play. the ambiance in this place is so nice, but their cocktails are sadly not good. i feel bad because all the staff are super cool, too... but none of their cocktails (... even the seasonal ones) looked appetising. i'm not a beer drinker, either, so even more drink options (which they put as part of their cocktails?) were further limited because most of them were "beer + a shot of something." i think it's still worth a visit tho, especially if you're bar hopping at all the other bars in the area. again, the ambiance is great and it's a cool place to just sit and chill with friends. i'll be back but maybe i won't drink anything lol. read more

I liked the vibe and ambiance of this spot a lot, and the drinks were also pretty good. We found this place when walking around cap hill on a Friday night and it seemed to have a pretty good crowd. Luckily we were able to get a booth to sit at before it got much more crowded later in the night. For drinks we got the last mango in paris and raspberry beret. Between the two I think I liked the raspberry more since it had an especially unique tea flavor due to the sweet tea vodka. The mango one was less sweet and was also pretty pleasant. Was walking by with some friends one afternoon, when the thirst hit, and this place caught our eye. So, in we went for a pre-dinner drink, and we were all immediately immersed in the warm colors of the place, the wall art, and the throwback music mixing in with the atmosphere. Although the place was buzzing with customers, the staff never lost their cool, the epitome of quirky and attentive. Truly, a place that can only germinate and thrive in Seattle. I'm definitely adding this bar to my list of places to show out-of-towners, as it captures some of the best features of Seattle's nightlife: unpretentious, charming, and memorable! And if you are a music lover, this place has vinyls!!!! I was told you can actually request songs you wanna listen to! But you must be wondering why I'm ranting on everything but the drinks in a bar review. Are the drinks bad? Not in the least! They were strong and so delicious!!!! And this wasn't just my opinion! One of my friends that night is a professional bartender, and he loved the drinks! Seriously, the drinks were great, the colors intense, but let's go back to the music for a final round. I'm sure I heard some Beatles and Led Zeppelin, but I'm definitely going back, and SOON!, to test their claim of having a "vast collection of records". Ya, it's been a number of years prior to this visit, but I got nothing but lousy service and no product. Ambiance is aight So I'm in the neighborhood, thought I'd stop in and have a quick belly up. I sat down at the bar, and patiently waited while the young, dark haired bartender with ponytails slowly finishes with those that were ahead of me. I was patient with her helping someone that arrived after me, letting her complete the order. But when she asked another late arrival for his order, I spoke up. 'Excuse me, am I invisible?'' She read me the riot act, telling me that I was ruining the atmosphere and that I didn't need to be so rude. I did pipe up for myself in this, mentioning that all I said was the above quote. So I'm thinking, no big deal, move on and take the blame. 'I stand corrected, it's all good'. She started talking about how it would be awkward to serve me now, because I would be hostile. Visited Seattle last week staying in Cap Hill and wandered down the road and saw a good amount of people in here. I immediately saw why... Such a great selection of Spirits/draft beer and even small bites if you're hungry. Had me some great Manhattans and delicious Hazy IPA and felt so happy to be there. Went back the next night and this became my favorite bar in the area. Love the outside tables to have a cigarette and enjoy the Cold weather. read more

One of my favorite bars in Seattle. I'm a huge music lover and Revolver feels like home to me! This is a casual place, where even if you've never been, it seems familiar. They always have amazing craft beers and a slider of the week. I tried the buffalo chicken sliders and I really enjoyed it! A couple bites of yummy, spicy shredded chicken on a bun (with blue cheese!). Bartenders are attentive and when it's busy it never feels cramped. I would recommend Revolver as an essential Seattle bar! It's also surrounded by some also memorable Olive way dives. read more

Revolver Bar is a fairly new bar from what I heard in The Stanger. Steve and I were spending an afternoon in Capital Hill and decided we needed a snack. We were by Revolver and so there we go! The place is relaxing and lounge like. The atmosphere is cool and everyone and everything is laid back. Since we were hungry we did not get anything to drink so I cannot comment on the drinks. The food at Revolver is Cajun or Crejole influenced. The portions of the food are small. Perfect for a snack. I got the large Red Beans and Rice which was very good! Steve got some Catfish Burger Sliders which were also very good! Revolver is perfect to go for drinks or a snack. Just be aware that getting a full sized meal is not something that they do here. I noticed on the way out they have several turntables up in the other room from the bar. It would be fun to come when they are playing music on these! read more

Revolver is located in the building that Dinette used to be in and I really like what they've done with the space. I'm a sucker for theme restaurants and this place does the 60s/70s music scene very well. I like the vinyl library they had there and the fact that you feel like you're sitting with Eric, Fez, and Kelso in the circle when you're hanging out in there. I didn't try a huge cross section of the food, but it does seem that they are still figuring some stuff out. The Muffuleta sliders were yummy and the taste was true to the essence of the New Orleans sandwich, despite the fact that it only has ham for meat. The bread and the nicoise olive spread were good. The gumbo was okay. I think it was underspiced and I wasn't a huge fan of the fact that it was served with jasmine rice. I think it would be beneficial if they served it with a dirty rice instead. I'm willing to chalk that up to the relative newness of the bar. I think it'll take a little time to fine tune everything. The drinks were okay for the most part. Not everyone in our group enjoyed every drink they ordered, and I think that accurately reflects my experience too. Their old fashioned is pretty good, but their rogue orb was pure tequila. It's supposed to be tequila and pineapple juice that has a smoked salt and cayenne pepper rim. But all I could taste was tequila. Were were there for happy hour, which they do every day from 4-6 and I was able to get a pint of Ranier for $2. So that's a pretty good deal. I was mildly amused that the bartender looked like he was a member of Jethro Tull. I think he might have been hired because he perfectly fits with the theme there, not necessarily because he's an expert at slingin' booze. Again, I think this is due to the fact that this spot is so new. Once all the staff get more experience with the menu, I think these things will sort themselves out. I really liked the attention to detail in the design of the interior of Revolver. I will come back again, but I'm going to give it a little while while the kitchen and the bar learn how to perfect the menu items. read more

This is by far one of my favorite spots to visit when I am in Seattle! This place has an awesome authentic 70's vibe and decor to it from the vinyl that lines the back of the bar, to the furnishings and decor; defnitely sets a great mood to grab some food or drinks. They make an amazing Old Fashioned here that is delicious and my go-to drink order when I visit. As far as beer + and shot specials go, you can't beat the $2 PBR + Rainier shot when you're looking for a great deal. I'll admit I've been here a couple times but a drink now and then but truthfully never really had the urge to write about it. There are a couple good spots on that block. My girl and I rolled by though for the Bowie Blunch and stayed for some food. The food was good, but what really impressed me was that they kind of messed up my girls order and bam the bartender (didn't get his name, nice guy) sorted it out fast. Got it cleared up and corrected so fast and showed us some live on the bill, no hesitation. Service is the key for me. We'll be back for sure to spend our cheese on theirs. This place is so cool. The music is always different and interesting because the bartenders get to pick what they want to hear from the amazing selection of records. There are often old-timey movies playing on the tv screens and there are some games for the patron to play, like jenga, dominoes etc. The bartenders are cool and laid back and Gary is the best! This is my go-to neighborhood bar for almost every chill night out. Revolver is welcoming and unpretentious, with friendly bartenders, comfy seating, and great music. The beer list is long and ever-updating, and the staff is always happy to provide recommendations. Cocktails and mixed drinks are creative, too; I got a Fireball hot toddy here once which kind of blew my mind. Revolver is the perfect place to start an evening on the deeply underrated E Olive Way bar strip and I'll keep coming as long we're both here. read more

Rudest bartenders in Seattle. Do not come here unless you want to be belittled and charged an excessive amount for crap booze. Cons: + Bartender was absolute garbage. My fiancee asked him how much liquid is in the glass for the drop shots. He responded with "really man?" and proceeded to slam a shot glass on the table. Umm #1 thats not what he was asking, #2 how about not slamming things in front of paying customers. Next, we ordered a drop shot, the bartender sneered and said "really dude? what are you 21?" I don't know about you, but when I order a drink it would be great to not be made fun of, when it's on the freaking menu. SO RUDE. + Bartender does not listen or is massive troll. I ordered a vodka cran. Super simple. He gave me a freaking IPA. What? Now that I am thinking about it, I am sure he gave me a beer so he could up-charge us, because he apparently had a problem with us being in there. + Expensive drinks for what you are getting, our bill was close to $20, for two drinks, at a dive bar + Atmosphere is dirty, but not as dirty as that bartenders attitude Overall, reading other reviews, it seems like management does not care about extremely rude bartenders working here. First off, I love a bar with a record collection that rivals that of many of my friends. Secondly, I love a bar with a helluva good happy hour. The bartender was friendly, not to mention rad to chat with. The drinks were good and the place was dim, cool, and comfortable. BUT. OMG, BUT. The food, you guys. SO FREAKING GOOD. I had a catfish slider and a muffaletta slider. The bread was the best bread I've ever had a slider on. Good texture, with a nice crust and a soft (but not overly bready) crumb. The catfish was good, but the muffaletta was fantastic. Since it was happy hour, these delicious sliders were like $2 each! I also tried my friend's gumbo (also $2!), which was meatier than Belltown on a Saturday night and super tasty. For shame. I ordered the Born In The Usa because cheddar is the main cheese I like on my sandwiches. Also not on French bread, so I got something completely different than the menu said I would. No waiter service, you have to order did at the bar. My sandwich looked like it only had 2 pieces of that crappy American cheese, couldn't have cost more than $1 for the business, yet happy hour price was $5, regular would have been 7. 600% markup?
