I will never come back here ever again. This is my second time at this place and the food portion was so small compared to the price. We are a big group and come here often, The last time I came here I tipped, this time I couldn't afford to tip (I'm an unemployed student), and my group already tipped enough. The server embarrassed me in front of everyone by asking if they did not do a good job and kept pressing me by asking if they didn't do a good job. I have to say I'm broke. The tip is optional, don't put pressure on people to tip you, some people are just broke and can't afford more. This is the first time something like this happened to me. Loved the place! Music is mixed 2000s. We had a very very nice time. Service was great. Super attentive and friendly all the time (checking if we had drinks or food) and answering questions. Service of 3 people. Helped us cleaning table, bringing water and helped also with drinks and letting us know about tap beer. Music was great. Restroom was a little dirty but it is because of customers. The paper came off the wall... weird hahaha. Everything came super fast (foods and drinks). Mini hamburgers, tater tots and chilli beans were a good combination with drinks but they were a little greasy and hot. This is the reason I took stats off. The food made me sick some hours later :( Margaritas are awesome as well as the whiskey drum and the same one but with rum :) You are gonna have a great time with your friends here. Nice place to spend a Friday's night. It doesn't get as crowded as I thought. I think this is an emblematic place because some bands used to play here. We payed around 130 for all we ate and drink. Pre-covid we honestly frequented Linda's as a bar. Just as the name states, this tavern was a regular stop for us when making the city tour for a night of libations scavenger hunt. We're very fond of the place, as it's a kitschy, divey, fun atmosphere; and they always have fun activities. The staff is always fun and friendly. So, when COVID hit, they offered an online order for pickup, and we hopped on it because we wanted to support the business. We can't say enough how well they adapted. We have been visiting through the whole pandemic now for meals as well as beverages, and the food and the service have been really good. What I respect the most is not only have they adapted, but they've done so offering good quality, comparable price, and good service. Many businesses have called for public support during the pandemic, but they have asked to public to do so at higher prices, lesser quality, and poorer service. The public has overlooked it for sympathetic reasons; but I admire those businesses, such as Linda's who have been able to give their patrons a standard for the money. read more

Linda's feels like such a Cap Hill staple - just the right amount of divey, grunge, and hipster all rolled into one. The inside is always dark, with low ceilings, which i actually hate because I start to feel very uneasy. Luckily they have a patio! It's pretty spacious but gets crowded on the weekends. It is a bar but they also serve decent brunch. Nothing to write home about but it's a good Sunday-mimosa-pitcher-with-your-friends type of spot (if you're into that). Service is always good. Made it to Linda's for some drinks on a Saturday evening! The vibes in there are pretty much like your standard pub/tavern - a bit dark inside, table seating and a bar, interesting quirky decor. The service was very good! We sat in a booth and had a waiter. I don't recall my server revealing his name, but he was so nice! We ordered a round of pickle back shots (whiskey chased with pickle juice) and they were great. Their pickle juice is always nice and spicy (not the nasty tepid stuff straight out of the jar) and the shot glasses are large. They did mess up our order, and brought us some weird syrup instead of pickle juice. I went with my friend for brunch. We arrived at 10am in a Saturday morning and there weren't a lot of people then. The light inside was dim and the decorations seemed old, so my first impression was meh. Before long, the place became crowded with people, who seemed very relaxed and familiar with this tavern. I had today's special - beef skillet with two eggs on top. I love skillet and didn't see any options on the menu so ordered this without hesitation. It was different from what I used to have. It's rather a beef stew (very tender, juicy, and a little spicy) with 2 eggs on top. At the side, the pancake was DELICIOUS, it is thicker and larger in size compared to what you normally get with Peking Duck. YUM. And the hash brown was AMAZING. I visited Seattle for the weekend and was recommended to try Linda's Tavern. The staff members were polite and adhered to COVID-19 rules and standards, which made the dining process very relaxed. This restaurant has a unique personality and I really enjoyed the outdoor seating, especially with the decorations outside. I ordered the Green Salad with ranch dressing. The ranch dressing was by far the most delicious homemade dressing I have ever tasted. All of the ingredients in the salad were fresh. As someone who eats a lot of salads, this is one to crave for the rest of my life. From what I viewed with the rest of my party, Linda's Tavern is beaming with inspiration and ingenuity. I was bar hopping around with a friend and this was on the docket to stop by and grab a few drinks and some food. Wasnt crowded at all when we went, super chill inside, plenty of tables to sit at, booths to sit with your friends, a few high top tables near the video games is where we chilled out at. Had to get up on Ms. Pacman and Ninja Turtles game too.....if I recall correctly, it was only .25 cents to play too. Awesome that it was during Happy Hour time, I think it runs from 3-7pm.....they have a little menu for some delicious looking bar food treats. We decided to get the nachos and the happy meal. Linda's bloody mary is absolutely wonderful. We came here for hangover/post-party breakfast on a Sunday morning. We were seated by the door and under the a/c vent which made it a bit chilly. I ordered the chicken fried steak breakfast, which came with 2 eggs, hash browns and toast. The chicken fried steak had soft mushy breading that I found odd (chicken fried steak should be crispy), and had a very unusual cream (almost alfredo like) gravy hybrid sauce on top that was very tasty. The steak itself was very fatty, which I have serious texture issues with. I only ate about half of it. The hash browns and scrambled eggs on the other hand mixed with the gravy were super tasty. I noticed halfway through breakfast that my toast didn't come buttered, but instead came with butter on the side, at which point my toast was cold and the butter I so feverishly slathered on it wouldn't melt. Went here after happy hour for the first time on the weekend. The inside is dark and has room to mingle, sit in a booth, stand at a table etc. It is divided into two areas with an upstairs and a downstairs. I would describe the vibe kinda like a dark grungy room but in an okay way (?) You can order drinks at the bar and they do not take that long to be made. I ordered the margarita and it was super sweet and almost unbearable to drink. The other drinks of the night were good though, old fashion, jameson / sprite, screw driver etc. My favorite part of this place is the outside patio. This place gets crowded on the weekends in the nice summer night weather. If you want to sit down out there, you kinda have to keep an eye on tables that you think will leave. You will eventually get a seat but it will take time. Lots of people just end up standing by the outside bar area. I would recommend this place if you are trying to meet up with friends and have a "low key" type of night or a place to go before the club. read more

Linda's is great especially their back patio on a warm summer night. Maybe the winters hitting a little colder this year tho because what a buzz kill Joey was. I came in w some fellow locals and some friends from New York and Joey made Seattle look bad. We only stopped for the nostalgia of the place. It's a dive bar to say the least. While we had no issues with that I can see where someone else might. We stopped in the middle of the day during the week so the bar was pretty empty. Our server was friendly and prompt. We only stopped for a drink and she assisted quickly. Historically speaking as one of the alleged last places Kurt Cobain was seen alive, this place is definitely interesting for that historical tidbit. But beyond that, it's a typical dive bar in every sense of the word: food, drinks, decor. I counted between 10-15 people wear flannel, which sort of made me smile. I ordered the burger and fries, which was adequate in taste, though I wasn't expecting much from the dive bar atmosphere. Service was appropriately slow for how busy it was. It was somehow made more intimate than you might think because of the noisiness and darkness of the atmosphere. You had to lean forward to speak to people, or read there lips. All in all, a loud, historically interesting bar with okay bar food and good music. read more

Although I've lived in Cap Hill for quite some time, I've only ventured into Linda's a few times -- maybe 4 or 5. I like to come for HH, but can never remember what time is goes (their website doesn't have any information), but the food and drinks are decently priced. I've only had beer (which is standard), but their food portions are pretty large and easy enough to share. My go-to: Wings, Onion Rings (you get a TON), Fries, and Sliders. It seems like this place gets super crowded at night and on the weekends. I'm usually in and out before 7p, so I can't speak to what the rush is like. I used to love this place until our recent experience, doorman/busboy was so rude, he came out to apparently seat us and when I confirmed "for 5 right" he said "YEA I KNOW" we had to wait for my husband (which was his bday mind you) and came back out with a snarky remark "Are you guys gunna come in or not?!" Like dude relax we were waiting on the rest of our friends. They seated us in the dark in some random corner (pretty much a seat next to the bathroom experience) and when we wanted to turn on the patio heater the waitress says "excuse me please don't touch that!" My wife and I walked in and sat at a booth directly in front of the bar. There were 2 guys behind the bar and 1 girl and they all saw us walk in. The dude with a Beanie hat on was eating and none of them said anything to us for 15 mins.... no water. No menus. Zero acknowledgement. I am a sever here In Seattle and I would say have more patience then most... they really just didn't care enough to even say hi when we walked in or offer any water. It's hard to find good vegetarian biscuits and gravy. It's difficult where I'm from because Southerners don't believe in meatless gravy. That's like Jesus with no miracles, to them. It's difficult in Seattle because too often the biscuits are hard and the gravy has no flavor. But to quote Hot Pie, "You just can't give up on the gravy." Went here specifically for the biscuits and mushroom gravy and it did not disappoint. Moist biscuits and flavorful gravy. The first time I came to Linda's way back when Dfens played tour guide for Ari, Rob, and I, I could have already written a 5-star review. The last time I went to Linda's for evening drinks, I ended up wandering around Capitol Hill alone wearing a fake mustache and found myself in the middle of the War Room's terrible dance floor relenting to girls with camera phones who wanted a picture of me with their (actually mustachioed) boyfriends. This may say something about the strength of the pours from the bar, the size of a shot of Bulleit or the warm flame of the outdoor heaters that the inner moth of my drunk is drawn to. In any event, this is not the place I go for drinks with friends anymore. That being said, I still find myself at Linda's at least thrice each month. Why? BRUNCH. This is my longest-standing favorite brunch restaurant in Seattle for a few reasons. 1. BULLRIDER. Their chicken-fried steak, which has a tendency to sell out by noon on weekends, is delicious. The home fries are not amazing, the eggs are fine, the sometimes-slice of kiwi on the plate is a nice surprise, but the steak, the breading, the gravy - I dream of these things. 2. The service. Could I be any more in love with Ritchie? Could seeing Kelli's sweet face so early on a Sunday make the rest of my day any better? The people who work here are great but these two consistently go out of their way to make my experience at Linda's amazing. 3. The ambiance. I can sit inside and listen to Phosphorescent or Aretha or whatever fits within the staff's whims and it always works. When it's sunny I can sit on the back patio with my sunglasses on the entire meal, decimating a pitcher of mimosas and gazing into the eyes of my perfect best friend. Decent bathrooms, usually clean. Don't get me started on the buffalo head. Minus one star for the questionable clientele on weekend evenings (is this bar in the U-District or...?...), difficult parking and sometimes endless waiting for a brunch table. Still, I'll forever agree to sit patiently on the edge of one of the planter boxes out front (with a mocha from Stumptown across the street) until my name is called. read more

We went here for some drinks before an event and did not feel very welcome. The bartender was not very friendly and it didn't seem like we could get here attention. After spilling a bit we needed to grab some napkins but after waiting ten minutes to get someone's attention, had to grab them of someone else's table. The drinks weren't bad and it seems like a place that regulars are treated pretty well but I wouldn't recommend it otherwise. read more
