Been here one year and Gilberto made every step from the viewing, application, move-in, and day-to-day requests incredibly easy and straightforward. He's a large part of why I choose to stay. Shared areas are cleaned regularly, there are never any disturbances, and service request emails are addressed within 24 hours. The only disturbance in the whole year was handled quickly by Gilberto. This is likely my last review but I wanted to give an update: it's still a crap show. We had water issues from the first day we moved in. During my time living here, I've experienced severe water damage, black mold, holes in the ceiling caused by water damage, floors replaced four times due to water damage, rotting wood, crumbling baseboards, peeling paint, loss of electricity, loss of water, loss of hot water, pests-- you name it. I paid out of pocket for repairs, costs that Linder agreed to reimburse me for, but never did. My property has been damaged -- again-- no reimbursement. The apartment is always MOIST. We bought those DampRid hanging moisture catchers and they quickly filled with water each time. Constant moisture damages the apartment as well, so you would think that they would make the necessary repairs. It's like pulling teeth to get repairs done, and when they do send someone, it's a band-aid fix, and the problem is back in a few weeks. They rely on you getting tired of putting in maintenance requests and being inconvenienced. They hire/contract the shadiest people you've ever seen, who will damage your property, do shoddy work, hit on you until you're super uncomfortable, and leave piles of debris in your home when they're done. It's obvious they're trying to save as much money as they can and don't care if it's at the expense of residents or if their actions are illegal read more

Apartment building is infested with cockroaches. Had to get my apartment exterminated three times and there are still tons of roaches because there is clearly a cockroach nest in the building. Other tenants in the building are having the same issue. The property management company is not working to resolve this issue, or to help maintain a clean and pest-free property. Edited to respond to the below: As I mentioned in my emails to you, it was a hassle to remove everything from my bathroom and kitchen every time my apartment needed extermination since I wasn't offered any assistance in that regard and only ever given short windows as to when the extermination could happen. I've also emailed new photos of the fresh cockroaches in my apartment as recently as a few days ago and in the emails the property manager said they would find alternative pest control services to resolve this issue. Interesting that the moment I transferred my electricity utilities over I have not heard anything about these alternative pest control services that are supposed to help clean the building and apartment. Sounds like the only reason you were even willing to entertain the idea of getting pest control services was if I transferred utilities. read more

We got the apartment online from Ed who was extremely responsive and helped walk us through the lease from out of town. Once we moved in our property manager was Michael who always responded to any questions or issues within 24 hours. Our toilet was leaking and plumbers were at our house within 5 hours. When the towel rack fell down a handy man came the same day to fix it. Moving out was a breeze and Michael was accommodating to the time we requested to meet him to do a walk through. We received a full refund of our deposit. The absolute easiest and most respectful relationship I've ever had with a landlord. I would definitely recommend this company and the two men I listed above and all the handymen and employees we met were kind and respectful. read more

I've lived in West Hollywood at one of their apartments for almost 3 years and they have honestly been the best property managers I've ever had. If I email, call, or even text, they respond within 1 hour. It's unreal. Whether it's a broken stove (which they replaced with a new one) or giving me extra time to pay after I got laid off during covid, they were there for me and supported me and my family. They've started managing our small building a few years ago. And it's been a treat. All inquiries were finally answered in a timely manner. As the building is old I've had multiple issues over the years and always had them resolved very quick. Very handy to have an option to pay rent or request maintenance online. This management company is the WORST. If you are assigned to deal with a person named SANDYBELL MENDEZ....RUN!!!! This management company was not great to begin with but as time gone by it has gone downhill since she came on board. She doesn't know how to handle things respectfully nor does she know how to communicate with tenants. She communicates like someone stole her favorite food out of the office fridge and like she got the job because a friend of a friend of a friend....of a friend ...of a friend that was in HR that did the hiring and her paper work brought her on. She is absolutely the WORST. I hope there might be some professional people sprinkled throughout the company but so far everyone that I have interacted with is nice at first before you sign the lease but once they have you locked in...RUDE and VERY unprofessional. my overall experience with them was poor (noisy neighbors, laundry area never or barely in service, never being able to receive a package but always getting a knock on the door for solicitors somehow....) but i'm grateful for the few and kind people at the leasing office. sandy was great at handling my complaints and listened when i spoke, at least. robert liked to send 3 day eviction notices as a threat.... pests are a massive issue with this place and i feel as though i spent the majority of my 4 years here making appointments with (rude!!!) pest control companies. renters (especially students) please beware of this company and it's shady practices. read more

They refused to continue negotiating a rental once they found out about my disability status. My federal and state rights were grossly and blatantly violated. Shame on them! The background: My toilet was clogged for months before Paul's property management took over my sweet downtown loft. Let me tell you that is embarrassing when your trying to bring a lady back to your apartment for some late night rompa room. I recently decided to switch management companies and hired Linder & Associates to Manage My Parents triplex in San Diego. Where do I Begin? Linder & Associates has been so consistent with everything they do. Since they have taken over I have seen a Significant Growth in Income from our Property. They have cut costs in so many ways. My parents have received phone calls from our long time tenants telling them how happy they are with the attention and level of care they have received from Linder. My boyfriend was a tenant at one of your properties and always had prompt service. Now that he is at another location even I can tell the management company sucks and I don't live there. Never gave me updates on whether or not my application was accepted. Applied to one property and was basically told that I was first in line for the spot so I waited a week until I decided to call to find out. They didn't even run my application and gave the apartment to someone else. Afterwards they tell me there's a new opening and I'd be first in line so I give them another shot and apply again. Once again they don't even run the application and I had to call them a week later to have them tell me the exact same bullshit. Almost ended up homeless because I invested so much time with this management. I'd advise looking elsewhere. read more
