I honestly don't know what the 1-star reviews are talking about, because our experience with Lindy Roofing has been nothing short of excellent. We used Lindy Roofing on a full rebuild and went with a metal roof--not an easy job. Multiple vendors told us our rooflines were "crazy" and basically tried to scare us off or price us out. Lindy didn't flinch. They handled the complexity with confidence, worked seamlessly with our solar provider and GC, and were incredibly patient throughout the process. Let's talk pricing, because that's where Lindy really stands out. Their bid was not just competitive--it was shockingly reasonable. For the past few years, every time it rained hard and the wind blew a certain direction, our skylight would leak. Each winter, I would have Lindy come out and patch it while we saved for a roof. They were always professional and so helpful! When the time finally came this year to replace the roof and skylights, we had Lindy give us a bid. We obtained bids from other roofing companies and even someone who did side jobs. As a home owner I don't think there is a bigger job/repair to be done than a roof...not a bathroom, kitchen..since it's all under the roof . My roof, a large job, on a hillside has a 12/12 pitch with side yards 40'+drop. I had one roofing contractor who has trucks and advertising everywhere said "I don't want to put my guys on your roof" I'm thinking they just wanted the easy flat roof jobs ....but one company took on the job...Lindy Roofing.  Clayton and his group took on this very changing job, between the tear off, the loading of shingles using a crane and the cleanup at times 10 men on the job and at a very fair price.  Here are some photos. read more

Not the best experience. First off the man showed up and had more interest in finding out if he knew my dad (he looked familiar to him i guess) than checking out the roof. Was here for a quick minute or two and then left. We didnt even receive a quote from them until a few weeks later. We had been living on borrowed time with our old roof, a synthetic lightweight tile that you see on Spanish mission-style homes. Even though it supposedly had a 50 year warranty and theoretically should have still had about 20 years left, the manufacturer went belly up long ago after so many of their roofs failed in a short period of time. In fact, when we called a roof inspector (with about 40-50 years of experience) for an assessment and told him that we had a Maxi-Tile roof, he initially refused to believe us because he had not seen a Maxi-Tile roof in over 20 years. We have been lucky - even though tiles have been broken and displaced, we never suffered any roof leaks. But we knew that our luck was going to eventually run out, and my cousin, who works in insurance, said that insurance companies commonly look at satellite or drone images to look for roof damage and can refuse to renew policies if not corrected. So we decided that it was about time to grit our teeth and shell out for a new roof. Normally, we would solicit quotes from multiple companies, but a couple of our best friends recently had their roofs replaced by Lindy and were completely satisfied with their responsiveness and the results. One of them did obtain quotes from other companies, and Lindy came in well below the others. We gave them a call and the came out within a couple days and gave us a quote that was in line with our expectations. We ended up paying a bit of a premium for a "cool roof" certified tile plus a radiant barrier and ridge venting to reduce that amount of heat that builds up in the attic. Getting the work done was delayed, however, by persistently wet weather. Wendy in the office kept us updated with each schedule change, and right when there was a predicted 3-4 day break in the rain the Lindy team showed up to get to work. The tear off was brutally efficient, and at the end of the day they meticulously cleaned up all the debris that had fallen around the house. Over the next couple of days new OSB with the radiant barrier was put down that the roof completed, with new gutters as well. Our new roof looks great, and along with the new insulation that we had installed in the attic, we've noticed a reduction in the amount of natural gas use during the cooler days and significantly less warming during the hot days. We'll never recover the cost to the roof in the form of reduced energy use, but it was a necessary investment for the upkeep of the house that will hopefully last as long as its new 50 year warranty. read more

Our journey for a reliable roofing company began during and after the pandemic. We had total of 10 or more companies. All of them were rated high and the prices were a bit lower during this time. The materials were reasonably priced fair ( at that time ). Fast forward, and post pandemic, we waited a bit and made contact with Lindy. We were impressed with customer reviews and CA state contractors Lic. board. Ron Valenzuela was the estimator and provided us with a good inspection report. We found him to be knowledgeable, diligent ,polite and extremely responsive. Ron came out and gave what we believed to be a fair quote for all work to be done. We knew that prices had increased considerably due to the pandemic. He had even agreed to match some previous quotes ( all things considered). The day came that we decided to go with Lindy. The roof really needed to be replaced and the weather was changing with heavy rain in the forecast. We agreed on a mutual price and set a tentative date. They got us the permit as well. We selected our roof materials and gutters. Ron was kind enough to bump us up on the schedule. He put his "top" roofing guys on our job. The day came for tear off. Ron oversaw the crew. The men who worked on the house were all polite, personable and they worked hard. They did a great job cleaning up each day. These guys were skilled roofers and it showed. Ron was always made himself available, even after hours! We did find find some structural issues mainly dry rot and a few places with no plywood. The roof was 35 + yrs old. Ron and the crew did an excellent job with the repairs. We were so pleased at their efforts. The (2) skylites were installed with no issues. After the work was done, the city came and passed the inspection. Bravo!. The roof looks fabulous, The gutters and downspouts are installed and working efficiently. We can sleep well at night knowing that the roof is as good as it gets. . We cannot be more pleased with Ron and the crew from Lindy. We have a 10 yr. warranty and the additional warranty from Certain-teed. We highly recommend Lindy roofing for all your roofing needs. read more

During the crazy rainstorm, they came through and fixed the leak on our roof. Temporary fix, but came back later when the rain stopped for a permanent fix. They rescheduled a few times b/c of the rain storm. Not super great at communication. I had to follow up a few times, but they eventually got the job done. Overall, we are satisfied. Ron from Lindy Roofing was very response during the big storms that hit the Bay Area. We heard dripping coming into the home late at night and he came out the next morning to make some minor repairs and tarp the roof until a more permanent solution could be done when the rain stopped. Once a date was set Ron, Onesimo, and Domingo came out to do the work. Onesimo was able to quickly spot the cause of the leak in our roof and him and Domingo made quick and thorough work and even took extra efforts to ensure the area they repaired would not leak again. We had a very pleasant and satisfying experience using Lindy Roofing for our roofing project. At first we thought that a complete re-roofing of our concrete tile roof was necessary. We had a roofing inspection done and all that was required was some preventive roof tiles and gutter repairs. Clayton was our contact and was great in our communications about what needed to be done, the materials that needed to be used and scheduling everything. Coming from a customer service background, I am very sensitive to poor communication. While I am happy with the final project outcome, the lack of communication needs to be greatly improved. The owner does not appear to be on-site or available to address customer questions. I received my bid and had a few questions. I wrote and called Lindy in hopes to speak to the person who gave me the bid. I received a very short response and all of my questions were not answered. I called again and spoke to the office. I restated my questions again and asked for a response. None was received. It like the job was sold and they moved onto to other bids. My project was scheduled to start on a Monday and it was delayed due to the weather. I was rescheduled but no one from the company reached out to me about the rescheduling. I had to call them yet again. I was not given a project timeline or any description of the stages of the roof replacement. The crew just showed up one morning, smoked a lot, and left their cigarette butts and debris on my property. I cleaned up the debris so it would not float into the sewer. The project is completed and had questions about an additional charge I was not expecting. Sent another email and 24 hours passed. No one got back to me. In frustration, I called the office again and was told by the office staff that my concerns needed to be addressed by the person who gave me the bid. He never reached out to me. End of the story, I paid the bill although I was not in agreement. It was not a lot of extra money but it was something I did not feel should have been tacked onto my invoice. My husband figured this would be a good time to take care of a problem with a skylight, which leaked into our master bathroom whenever it rained. We'd been putting it off, but knew it needed to be repaired before the next rain (remember what rain was like?!) The reason he wanted to use Lindy Roofing was due to work they had previously done on his dad's home in Cupertino. Our dad had his roof completely replaced a few years ago, and I recall my husband coming home, saying he was so impressed with the quality of work they did on dad's house, that if we ever needed any type of roofing work, this was the company we'd go to. Representative showed up on time, Licensed, Bonded, and in business for over 48 years with an A+ BBB rating. The rep went up on the roof surveyed what needed to be done, and then said he would send a sheet metal guy out for some of the particulars on the job. The rep never left a business card, and never sent a sheet metal guy out like he said. However, I did receive a quote 2-weeks later for 60% more in cost than what three other roofers had bid for the same amount of work to be done. That is why despite all the glowing accolades of time in business, and ratings, there is a difference when it come's quality follow up, work performed, and price. We worked with Lindy Roofing because of their reviews, stellar BBB, and Contractor Board information. They look great on paper, but their follow-through is lacking and the individual that managed the job, Neil, seems to just sugar coat things and try to reassure you. We got several bids and Lindy Roofing was within the ballpark. It was the length on the contractors board that closed the deal. Started the job as scheduled on November 27th. Took 1/2 a day to remove our 8 year old tile roof that was put on wrong. New composite roof was installed within 4 days. During the entire time we did not know who was in charge on site and had to call Neil to have things completed that were noted in the contract. The 1st inspection was completed on 12/5 and noted that 25% of the nails were over driven and needed to be corrected. On 12/7, I received several phone calls and a text from Neil requesting a time to finalize the payment. To which my response was "Let me know when you are coming back out". He then called and said that they are done. I explained that you did not pass inspections. His response was the city has not informed him. Please note that only my husband was onsite for the inspection, no one was present from Lindy Roofing. So they came back out, did what they were suppose to and the next inspection was on 12/19. Again we did not pass because the permit was not on site and NO ONE was present from Lindy roofing. On 12/20 I get a text from Neil that states "Permit was signed off. When tomorrow would be the best time to get together and finalize." I stated I want it to be final and I have no information stating that it is. Neil states he is going to City Hall to get a copy of the permit. Again nothing. 12/22, I reach out to Neil that the permit is not signed off on the City's permit website. That there is no information that this is final. Neil's response "I am out city hall right now to get the sign off. It takes 7-10 days for them to log it in the system." 1/3/18, Neil texts us a pictures of our "permit" signed (which on closer examination today is actually our 12/19 inspection stating no permit on site) followed with "Here is the sign off, let me know if you want to meet or mail the final payment". We mailed the checks and they have all been received and cashed. Today, 2/15/18, I went online to check the permit and it was not "FINALED" and it is still open. Neil stated that it takes 7-10 business days to have it in the city's system, it has been 6 weeks. Getting a roof is a large expense, especially when it is unexpected. We do believe in the quality of work, but the follow-thru is poor. I feel manipulated and pressured by Neil to pay the balance before we had proper documents and the re-roof actually "Finaled". It is truly disappointing to write a review like this, but I did expect more. They have all of our money and we do not have a "FINAL" permit on our re-roof. read more

WOW! What can I say? We had Lindy Roofing install a roof over 10 years ago, and with the high winds and strong rain that we have been having, it developed a leak. I called Wendy at Lindy Roofing and they sent a roofer out the same day to look at it. He found the area where it was leaking and reported back to the office. Wendy contacted me, and explained that the roof was no longer under warranty, but offered to fix it free of charge. She sent a roofer out that day, no more leak!
