During Comic Con we needed a brain & food break to get through it, we decided to take a walk downtown and try something new- that's when we found Lindy's! Lindy's is a cute diner where you seat yourself (I love getting to pick where I sit)- and has a pretty good dinner menu. They have breakfast all day and a juicy lucy (burger stuffed with cheese) which is super hard to find on a menu these days. Our waitress was faboulous, super attentive and kind. We split the juicy lucy and a chicken sandwich both were pretty bomb. I am not a big pickle lover, sometimes I can go for some fried pickles but these were a bit too thick for me, but perfect for a pickle lover. We will defenitly be back to try something else!

Used chewing gum on coffee cup

I'm giving two stars after almost giving just one; the food was great and the server was friendly and attentive especially given how many tables she had. However, there was used wet chewing gum on my coffee mug when we were served the coffee. The table had been cleaned just before we sat down. After the coffee was served, I noticed the mug kept sticking to the table and leaving a trail of what looked like melted cheese. When I looked closely, it was used chewing gum! I went and washed my hands and let the server know. She apologized and got me a new cup. However, that was it. The restaurant didn't even discount the coffee that had gum on the cup. While the food was good and server was nice, and for that gets an extra star, chewing gum on dishes served to guests without any effort to make up for that is inexcusable.

Pile up with red and green chile

Had lunch on Sunday and wondered into Lindy's. Love the inside with all the old pictures and different kinds of gadgets and machines used back in the day. We sat in the back where you can see the cooks in the back making the food. They were awesome! Great communication and getting the orders out fast. We ordered 1 of the juicy lucy burgers and the pile up with red and green and an order of green chile cheese fries to start. Green chile had just the right amount of spice that was enjoyable and very flavorful, and those fries were super cheesy just like I like them. The burgers were made to order. They were big and hella juicy and the one we ordered had the cheese inside the burger. It was amazing! The french fries were fresh hand cut fries. Man they were prefect and crunchy and you get a fresh grilled jalepeno, and boy were they spicy, but delicious. The pile up was beans, hashbrowns, bacon and 2 eggs and cheese piled smothered with your choice of chile and of course a grilled jalepeno, oh dont forget the tortilla you have to use as the spoon to sop it all up. We thought we were full until our waitress asked if we wanted dessert and so my nephew wanted an ice cream cone. That cone came out and I swear it was as big as his head! The ice cream was some of the best we have ever had. It tasted like it was homemade! We can't wait to go back! Highly recommend tou giving Lindy's a try if you haven't!

I ordered biscuits and gravy with coffee. The coffee was really good. My order came with a roasted jalapeno which I loved! I have never been here before I definitely give it five stars. The food was yummy! :)

    This is a Chicago Dog?

I guess you can't believe everything you see on TV. Somehow, Lindys Diner was mentioned on national television recently as being one of the best, if not THE best diners in the country. So while we were in the downtown area, we decided to stop in. It was a Saturday early afternoon. There was no line, but most of the tables were occupied. After a few minutes of sitting, our server finally came to our table. We asked for water, he told us there had no straws. No big deal. Then it was several minutes more before another server came by and asked if we had ordered. We answered, "No" and placed our order. Pretty simple - a Gyro plate (which was the "Special") and a Chicago Dog. After waiting for nearly a half an hour, the Gyro plate came out. It was another 15 mins before the Chicago Dog came out. The Gyro was overcooked with burnt edges and was dry. The tzatziki sauce was almost flavorless. The Chicago Dog came out placed on a broken, soggy, bun with some garnish thrown on top. (See picture). Both plates came with soggy, limp fries. The total time it took from when we sat down, until we were FINALLY able to leave, was just over an hour - for a gyro and a hot dog. The servers were nice enough and the food isn't their fault, but even the nice service couldn't save the otherwise off-putting experience.

The food was ok. Connor was my server and the only person to speak to me actually and he was very nice and polite. I got nasty stares from some lady that work there. The place was relatively quiet and clean. I came for breakfast.

I was walking downtown with friends and we decided to stop by this place. This place is a cute diner and very old school. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The food was okay, nothing too special, great place to eat if you are in the area.

I moved to Albuquerque in September of 2021 and continue to enjoy exploring the outstanding variety of restaurants. I am a soft touch when it comes to diners; I like the relaxed environment and comfort foods. I had beyond burger with fries. Burger good, fries outstanding. Nice service, very friendly waiter. He was attentive without hovering. I for one (and I know there are others) would like to see downtown Albuquerque flourish. As the saying goes "vote with your feet." Sum: unpretentious diner style restaurant with good prices.

Great value for food, big portions but quality is still great. It is the longest standing restaurant in Albuquerque and also 66 route. The burgers were really juicy and flavorful. We always get fast and incredible service. The location is really cute and it gives a vintage diners vibe.

We were excited to try this new American cocktail bar. Shout out to Yelp again for the find…read more Moseyed in on a Saturday night and didn't have to wait for a table. In a rare turn of events, both kids got the same thing, the Korean chicken bites with the sauce on the side, which was a great decision bc it did have a kick to it. The chicken itself was a bit dry. Both adults also got the pork belly flatbread. I found it a bit unbalanced with too much sauce and not enough other toppings, and the base wasn't as crispy as I prefer. Speaking of crispy, we opted for the appetizer brussel sprouts, and they were a bit chewy and on the not so super crispy side. Service was fine, and glad to have a little break from heavier New Mexican cuisine on this night. Lots of variety on the cocktail and adult beverage menu too.

Great servers! Everyone was helpful and kind so front of house manager must be doing their job!…read moreFood was delicious. Crispy Brussels sprouts had great flavor but way too much cayenne pepper (which adds nothing but heat) my husband ate them but said he would prefer less heat. I had 2 bites and gave up. Baked brie was amazing I loved the granny Smith apples! My husband loved them too. We also got the hummus duo which has dates on it and I used a date in the brie that was fantastic! I'll ask for that next time! It was the bomb. Hummus duo was good the watermelon radish was beautiful on the plate but gave both hummus a bitter flavor. Shrimp and grits. We live in Alabama currently and this was our least favorite dish of the day. Shrimp were cooked well and so were the grits but there was just something else it needed. Parmesan cheese and some onions maybe. Greek salad delicious. The flash fried chick peas made it. We needed more dressing and the wait staff was prompt and sweet about it. Spicy Lime Ceasar was ok till he requested more dressing then it was amazing. I was afraid of ordering it but the dressing wasn't too spicy . White sangria I had was disappointing it was more of a 1995 wine spritzer than a wine infused with citrus which is the very essence of sangria. It was ok and had I ordered a wine spritzer I would say yummo but I ordered sangria. Pork Belly flat bread was the winner of the night the tomato jam made that dish. I would love more on it next time but we will definitely be ordering that dish again! Yes we had a lot of left over food! But I love sampling a menu and this menu has a lot to offer. We will be back to try 4 or five other things. I look forward to my return.

Here's a cleaned-up version that keeps your energy and voice:…read more Okay, so for the 66 Diner: we stopped here during our Route 66 road trip, which most of you know I've been taking very seriously. I've been hitting all the spots I can and being very strategic about the food stops. This place is nostalgic, historic, and right along the way in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It gives you all the old-school diner vibes immediately. I will say, all the young ladies working there were extremely nice, and the service was great. It definitely passes the vibes test. The burger tasted like that classic all-American diner burger. Not too greasy, but not trying to be some "beyond meat" situation either. Just good stuff. The fries were great, and very, very, very importantly: it passes the ranch test. We had a side salad with ranch, and the ranch tasted good on the salad and even better with the fries dipped in it. We also had the 66 Burger, which comes with green chiles. I had never had that on a burger before, but it was a really good twist and a nice local touch. Green chiles seem to be a big thing in Albuquerque, New Mexico, so it was cool to try that there. The onion rings were great too. If I hadn't been so full, and if it wasn't noon with eight more hours of driving ahead of us, I definitely would've gotten a shake too. All in all, absolutely great classic Route 66 vibes. It has all the nostalgia, great service, and great food. 10/10 recommend. Everyone should go.

Super friendly staff especially our server, Brady. It was the perfect ending to a day of driving. I ordered the Chicken Ranchero and a Chocolate Covered Strawberry shake. Both were delicious and enough food for two people. One of the best shakes I've ever had! Came to the table all dressed up in a tall soda glass with enough extra served up in the stainless steel shake mixing cup it was made in. This place is a must stop while out on your Route 66 travels.
