Loved Lindy's. I didn't get to eat there but I did hang out for a cup of coffee. The place has a great feel and history to it. The food looked like fairly normal diner food, but I love diner food. I hope to be able to go back there for breakfast sometime but did enjoy having a cup of coffee and chatting with the waitress. I definitely recommend it. The rumor is that their milkshake is really good but I opted not to go with the morning milkshake this go round. read more

My wife and I and some friends hit Lindy's late after barhopping a few weeks ago and man it really hit the spot. The quesadillas (with green chile of course) were fantastic. Skip this place unless you like your waitstaff slow, your order misunderstood, and your food cold. We went in for a green chile burger, a quesadilla, and an omlette. The omlette was cold, the fries soggy, and the burger didn't have any green chile. The quesadilla was late in coming out (we asked for it as an appetizer) and then was so totally wrong that we just sent it back. We didn't get ketchup, water refills or silverware without flagging somebody down and asking for it. So glad we decided to go into "Lindy's Diner" as the sign outside called it. I got the"hungry man" breakfast and was surprised that it came with 4 slices of bacon and two larger sized sausages. The eggs were perfectly cooked, hash Brown's were crispy and delicious. The pancakes. Oh the pancakes. First of all they came with a large amount of butter. They were so delicious. Firm but soft. A little crisp bits on the edge. I can't explain how good they were. If you're in Albuquerque you should try and get into Lindy's on historic route 66. read more

I recently took a late night date here while visiting downtown Albuquerque. The prices are as close to great for a sit down menu restaurant you'll find within 10 miles in any direction. The walls have pictures of celebrities that stumbled into the establishment and took pictures with the staff. I like the pretty neon atmosphere in the evening hours. I have old reasons to give this place a hard time, but I'll erase that because this establishment offered a safe and tasty experience when I needed it most. Lindy's, Yay! I'm a fan. read more

I noticed there were only 3 customers in the diner at lunch time and should have changed my mind about ordering lunch. I ordered a Greek salad to go (the full one for $9.98). I noticed most of the lettuce was black and slimey. It was so gross I had to throw out most of it. I've had Greek salad's here before but this one was awful. We had high hopes for this diner when we walked by when it was closed. We stayed even after seeing the menu was pretty light on vegetarian options for lunch. My husband's vegetarian burrito was basically just beans and cheese with a side of beans. My cobb salad was missing the avocado, was piled on a too small plate and was full of brown lettuce, over ripe tomato and dry fried chicken breast. None of the staff looked happy to be there. read more

We ate here for breakfast this morning. Pros: Our waitress was very attentive, my coffee cup was never less than half-full. Service was quick and prices are reasonable. I had an omelette with onions and tomatoes that tasted pretty good. It was served with toast that I gave to my significant other as I have gluten allergies and that would kill me. He seemed to like it just fine. Nice quiet place to go on a Monday morning. They serve way more food than I expected, show up hungry! Cons: OJ is not terrible, but there are better places to get fresh-squeezed orange juice. The hashbrowns were kind of strange, they had a sort of coconut-like aftertaste which I did not like. read more

I used to take my son to this place for years every Saturday after visiting the Downtown Growers Market until the waitress I had once was horribly rude, didn't take down my order right, argued with me about what the food was on my plate (can YOU tell the difference between a bell pepper and a jalapeño?) then when I asked her to take the food back to have it remade to what I actually ordered, she just took the plate and never brought me any replacement. She also gave my son a root beer float that ordered after I said no root beer float to her and she actually expected me to pay for it. When I asked to speak with the manager, she was very snotty in saying, "Honey, I AM the manager." I told her she had just lost a loyal customer and she said "Oh, well be fine. We've got plenty of others." That was 5 years ago and I haven't been back since. If I could rate it lower, I would. read more

I've just given up with this place, tired of wasting my money here and dealing with the bouts of food poisoning. It wasn't bad when we first moved to town early summer '16, but it's like the owners care less and less each day of making it a respectable business. Everytime I go in, the restaurant is more and more filthy, I honestly wonder how they pass health inspections. Used to enjoy the burger, until on two separate occasions, one after the other, the burgers gave me and my husband severe food poisoning that took us a week to get over. Didn't go near them again for a couple of months, until I was craving a box of fries one day. How much of a gamble could a box of fries be, right? Picked up a single box of fries, get back to my apartment, while me and my friend are chowing down, we both pulled out multiple fries thick with human hair. One was short and curly, like it came from someones nether regions, the others were short, straight brown hairs like head or beard hair. Revulsion made us both throw the fries down and toss the box in the garbage. Won't ever be back, the owners clearly just don't care anymore. read more

Really enjoyed this place. Like going back in time. Decor was Great. Excellent selection of Beers on tap!! Food was Fantastic!! Mashed Potatoes were homemade. The Lemon/Pepper Broiled Fish was the Best!!! Was able to speak to the Owners. It has been in the family for 40 years. Will certainly return and recommend this place to my friends!!! read more

I was looking for a place to eat and came across this cafe. I was greeted at the door, ordered a Blue Baller hamburger with fries (which was good)! However, I was not given any silverware or napkins when I got my order, and it took a while for the waitress to refill my drink even when it was not so busy (I guess playing with the iPhone is more important :/). Overall decent food, but the service could use some improvement. read more

Took some out of town guests to Lindy's. The server forgot to order my lunch and got ALL the rest of the orders wrong. What she did bring out was over cooked and disgraceful. We would have tolerated the wrong orders if the food was ok but NOPE disappointing and sad. Then to top it all off, when we asked where my meal was she said it's coming and then came back to ask me what I had ordered.
