Dinner price starts at 3:30 pm. I can't have diary or egg and when I asked the waitress if they had an allergen menu she said no and took me to the guy in the front. When I asked the man if he knew what had diary/egg since I couldn't eat it he repeated "no egg?" twice. After I confirmed twice I couldn't have egg he laughed in my face. He did end up taking me through the buffet line pointing out what had egg or diary so I could avoid it but I felt he could have gone about it in a kinder way. He was also very rude to the waitresses, I felt bad for them. As an aside, the sinks in the bathroom were like little power washers- the water pressure was so high the water splashes all over you.

Sorry so blurry! Front of restaurant

I'm looking at the reviews of this restaurant and I'm very surprised! I'm very critical and thorough when it comes to reviewing a particular restaurant. I travel ALOT, so I decided to check out this buffet. It was only a short walk from the hotel I was staying at. When people tell you that everything is bigger in Texas, BELIEVE THEM! This place is HUGE! I really liked this buffet and the sushi bar. Not to many patrons for dinner. Maybe because the day of week? If I'm ever in TX, I will definitely visit this buffet again! The place isn't too bad, drink not included (of course).

A friendly place, lots of variety, but a little greasy in many dishes, but if you like lots of fried foods you'll love it.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was fun, lively, and full of energy. The hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made us feel right at home. The food was delicious, and the portions were more than worth the price. Everything we ordered was flavorful and satisfying. What truly took our experience over the top, though, was our server, Corbin. He greet us with a great smile, he was friendly, inviting, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. He made excellent recommendations, checked on us often, and genuinely made our visit memorable. Especially when my wife forgot her sunglasses. Corbin was essential in us finding. Thank you Corbin!!! If you're passing through Amarillo, The Big Texan is definitely worth the stop, and if you get Corbin as your server, you're in for an even better experience!

Our server was very attentive and cheery. They have a very large two level dining area. The steaks are grilled in plain sight in front of the stage where the world famous 72 oz steak challenge takes place. They bring out fresh baked rolls with your meal. The half order of fried mushrooms was great. My son enjoyed his two 5 oz steak filets, my wife was very pleased with her Prime Rib. I was disappointed with my rib eye, I had to trim off too much fat. The desert was delicious. Overall, don't expect a steak you would be served at a fine steakhouse, but definitely give the Steak Ranch a visit.

The cashier was incredibly friendly--she handed us menus, pointed out the specials, answered our questions, and took our order with a smile. I went with the 7-vegetable korma special and swapped the naan for papadum (GF). The korma was flavorful with just the right amount of spice, and it even included some paneer... yum! ORIGINAL POST: Had my food DoorDashed since I'm on a work trip and working at an office. The food arrived hot and fresh. Smelled absolutely amazing. I ordered a Naan-Wich Aka Shawarma, hot, with steak ($3.00 up charge). The hot was definitely about right for hot. Probably compared to a good hot wing. I'm sure spicy and extra spicy are hot-hot! Flavor overall was great. The naan was perfectly cooked. Now as for the steak, the quality was disappointing. The first bite I had a very hard piece that was inedible. You know, it happens. A few bites later another inedible piece, but wasn't as hard this time at least. Not a big deal, a couple pieces does happen, but turned out to be 3-4 pieces were inedible and I had to spit them out. Most of the edible pieces were a little chewy and possibly overcooked. Other than the steak, overall was pretty good. I would definitely be willing to give them another try... just not with steak. lol.

Yelp reviews pay off once again. It was surprisingly empty with only two tables occupied at 7pm on a Saturday so I'm guessing lots of carry out and deliveries because the kitchen was busy. I had some hot and sour soup, and the cashew chicken with lo mein noodles and got it medium heat. It was perfect. Hot enough for flavor and a little sting but not so much to ruin eating it in comfort. Portion was great and very flavorful. Wish I lived closer but have a new go to spot anytime in town.
