I arrived at Lins at 430. The lo mein was undercooked hard tasted old, the breaded shrimp with bread no shrimp, the rice noodles were salty cold and overcooked. The Mongolian bar meets shrimp chicken beef pork was nowhere near 40 degrees temperature thats why nobody was getting the Mongolian bar, take cook on the Mongolian grill area was cleaning his line and picked up the vegetables off the side of the line and thrown back into the pan, I looked at him he stared at me I stared back at him like really are you going to just clean it and throw it back into the pan. So at promptly five o clock pm they brought all the food and discarded all the old food from lunch, which leads me to believe that that food on the line since it was slow with sitting out there long over 90 minutes. Ayear ago we ate dinner there it was amazing now it's horrible actually horrid. Use caution when approaching this restaurant your best bet for a better opportunity meal would be about 515 to 530, good luck everyone read more

So Im supposed to be rating this place right well theres not much to say that certain staff do not know what professionalism is because they treat loyal customers like delinquents. Ive went every 3 months and never had such a horrible experience in any other restaurant. I payed for dinner so I went to get my steak and a staff approached me screaming to me to show him my receipt which I threw away after all its my receipt so i can do whatever I want with it right. He went ballistic on me and another staff approached me with the same behavior so my mom who was with me asked him "are you a cop or something because payed for what we are eating" both of them took off without saying a word. To me that was the most disrepectful male staff. Others would tell me their experiences which I didnt believe until I lived it. If a higher authority such as the owner, Tom and Martin, sees this I suggest they do something about these male staff before they give a bad reputation to your business. read more

As our lunch hours are usually not quite that long, we regularly go to eateries which have already prepared food. My problem, of course, is that it is buffet/smorgasbord so I tend to overeat. Arly was running the freshest cooked mongolian grill inside, and that is always the best; I often add a few items from the buffet side. I've gotten a bit more particular about what I put down my gullet these days--less sugar/laden products (how can one get away from that?) more protein/legume/fruits, etc. What I like about Lin's is (not only all-I-can-eat) the variety, especially the shrimp. This is the smaller variety, and when I consume the carapace & all, no violent disturbance occurs in my belly. (Which is what happened when I ate extra large prawn in Venice, Italia, 2004; I was up most of the night retching! But you can read about that in my 3rd book: La Familia Hayburg: On the Opposite Side of the World) Anyway, pleasant waitress Brisa was most attentive, keeping my colleague's & my water glasses full as well as whisking away empty plates. Our timing was good because it was not packed with people, though had we arrived a few minutes off, no doubt we'd have to wait in line-that's happened before. I didn't sample the sushi and numerous other dishes, although I was a bit disappointed to see that the ice cream machine wasn't operating. Not that I need that, too...! CNN blah blah blah..... I almost didn't go based on the other Yelpers' reviews. But my coworkers were raving about the place. I went there and they've got a huge 3 foot by 5 foot posting of their health inspection. I think they got 98/100 points or so. The food was perhaps the best quality and largest selection I've seen at an Asian buffet here in El Paso. They are usually out of several things at the same time and you have to wait a while before they refill it. The service is ok, not great and not very friendly. But, it's a buffet and serves my needs when I don't have a lot of time. read more

They countersued the lady that planted the rat and pretended she found it in there!!! Dumbass! They found a video of her taking something out of her pocket and putting it there, LOL! Plus, if that happened to you, would you be holding up the stupid mouse by it's tail showing the news cast, NO! You'd be puking your brains out. Plus they rat did not looked cooked, it's wiskers were not fried at all, when they discected it, there was no food content in it's belly. Therefore, it did not come from Lin's. The food is great. However, the parking situation is not. I arrived early (10:30) and was waiting in my car for the people I was meeting for lunch. I observed that 80% of the prime front and side parking spaces were occupied by employees. Customers should come first. There is a parking lot in the back and this should be utilized by employees, leaving the good spaces for customers. read more

This place does get busy, but never had to wait to be seated. I like the food and there's lots to choose from, also nice decor and friendly waiters or waitresses. If theres a food item out, don't worry, it will be there when you go for seconds. Just get something else till then. read more

there is a new one on the far east side of town, zaragoza n joe battle blvd. i have been there two times n i enjoy going there cuz the service is good and the food is excellent. they are constantly putting fresh and hot food on the buffet selection. I recommend it. read more

I have never been a fan of Chinese buffet restaurants. Always prefer the sit down mom and pop, whole in the wall style. This place was a beautiful site from walking in the front door. I thought this is nice. Then I didnt see an Asian person any where in site, so I expected the food to be just basic. You pay first, OMG almost $58.00 for four people. Now I thought, okay nice place, expensive, oh crap the food will be cheap and horrible. I was wrong, 6 buffet tables with a huge variety of Chinese food. Salmon? Sushi? Mexican food? That is a variety of other food as well? Just when I thought I had passed by everything on my third trip? Is that a cook on the last buffet line to make special request to your liking? I thought, can I eat any more and still be able to walk? Perfect place to take a date or even the Family. I have had better Chinese food than this, but not at a buffet restaurant.
