    Kung Pao Chicken

Surprisingly Good Food for an Old Diner Ordered: (Main) Kung Pao Chicken - 4/5 - The chicken had so much flavor, and tasted very very good. It was not authentic Chinese, but a much improved Panda Express. As many have noted, the exterior is unassuming and the interior even more so. I went here on a friend's recommendation and was very worried I would regret my decision. The interior is definitely stuck in time and looks very old-fashioned. The menu also looked very unusual because it had breakfast, American classics, and random Chinese food, which made me doubt the quality of the Chinese food. But the service was quick and friendly and the food was good. A nice little hole in the wall which should upgrade its interior to match its food.

What a gem! This was exactly what I was looking for while staying in Linthicum for work -- I was so glad I found the photos for this place because I didn't think it would be such a cute breakfast type diner, but it totally is. They do have lunch items too, but the name threw me off a bit. We stopped by here just looking for some late-morning breakfast on a Monday, and I'm sooo happy we found this place. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by staff and found a table. It definitely had a friendly neighborhood vibe where staff seemed to know most of the people coming in. This is exactly where I would want to become a regular if I lived here full time! Staff was super kind and very attentive to anything we needed. I ordered my standard breakfast that I order everywhere -- scrambled eggs, toast, potatoes. I was not disappointed. Portions were good and prices were even better. You definitely should check this place out!

We were looking for a late day breakfast spot in the area, and found this place. It doesn't look like a food place from the outside, but we went in. It's a small diner that had a small parking lot. Upon entering, we passed the sign that read seat yourself and approached the counter. We weren't sure if we had to order first before sitting, or if they would come and bring us a menu. The woman behind the counter seemed annoyed when I asked if we had to place our order there before sitting. She rolled her eyes and told us to take a seat. Two minutes after we sat, another young lady asked us if we wanted a drink. We both replied coffee. She came back with two cups of coffee and took our order. The food came quickly. The french toast was made on regular white bread and had a good taste to them. However, it was only two slices cut in half and came with a small scoop of butter and powdered sugar sprinkled over it. The western omelette was good, but the best thing were the homefries with onions that came with it. They were excellent and were perfectly cooked. The coffee was hot but not as strong as we would've preferred. I would've given this place a 3.5 star review, but it won't allow a half star.

Just ate there today for the first time, got the cheese steak combo. It's delicious so are the thick fries that come with it. I've lived here for two years and only now discovered them. They are tucked away in a little strip mall hidden from the road. It's obviously the best kept secret for the locals. I'll be back!

Perfect for burning a gift card but maybe not a regular spot. My wife and I had a gift card burning a hole in our pockets, so we decided to stop into the Linthicum Heights location for Sunday brunch. Overall, the experience was totally satisfactory, though it came with a few minor hiccups. Walking in, the menu is exactly how I remember it being from my last visit years ago, though like everything else these days, the prices are a tad more expensive. I opted for the Country Boy Breakfast, which comes with sirloin tips, biscuits, gravy, and my choice of sides. I went with the dumplings and the hashbrown casserole. The flavors themselves hit the spot and tasted exactly as I remembered from previous trips. The hashbrown casserole and biscuits were solid comfort food. However, the steak tip portion was a bit of a letdown. My wife ordered the steak and eggs, and her portion of steak was easily double to triple the size of mine. It felt a little mismatched considering both are hearty breakfast plates. We also ran into some standard Sunday crowd service hiccups. Our server fumbled our drink order right out of the gate and wasn't very attentive when it came to checking back for refills. At the end of the day, it is perfectly serviceable if you want a massive, nostalgic country breakfast. But if we did not have that leftover gift card balance to use up, it would probably be a few more years before we felt the need to return.

The cocktails and mocktails were unique and tasty. 2 of our group loved the peach vinegar mocktail although I'll admit it was a bit too advanced for me. Everything we ate was prepared to a T, met or surpassed fine dining standards, and the desserts were amazing. You don't realize how crappy our capitalist dystopian nation's food has become with US foods and Cysco essentially monopolizing the restaurant supply chains until you get a chance to eat food made in house from scratch. The desserts here were so much fresher and more delicious than what you normally get at places that rely on the corporate food suppliers. I could've easily eaten every single dessert option and then taken one of each home. We didn't even have room to try the house made ice creams and sorbets. My favorite dessert was the pistachio apricot tart, so well balanced and very unique flavor contrast. The mango key line cheesecake was the groups favorite. And the chocolate cake thingy left nothing to be desired.

You can tell people really like this place. Lots of options on the menu. I went with the classic Eggs Benedict, which here comes with an interesting twist -- they add cheddar cheese. That was new to me. My daughter ordered the Belgian waffle with sausage. They didn't ask patty or link, so we rolled the dice -- it came as links, and she wasted no time eating them. The waffle filled her up quickly. Fresh blueberries on top, crispy on the outside, airy on the inside, and sweet in all the right ways. When my Eggs Benedict arrived, it looked a little small at first and the potatoes barely filled the plate. But don't let that fool you. What a flavor. What a presentation. The hollandaise was perfect -- thick enough that it barely dripped off the muffins. Once the creamy yolk broke and mixed into that sauce, it was game over. The cheddar addition actually works, giving the whole dish another layer of richness. This is top-tier classic Benedict. Coffee was solid, the atmosphere cozy, and the pricing surprised me in a good way. My daughter's meal was $5.99, with only a $0.75 upcharge for juice, which is hard to beat these days. Good service, good food, and a comfortable place to sit down and eat. We'll definitely be back!!!

SHUT THE FLUFF UP! SO GOOOOD!!!…read more We were in Baltimore with a few hours to spare in the morning, so what to do?!? First thing that comes to mind is... crab for breakfast! Ok yelp, show me watcha gat!!! Oh, AND Open Early! Unfortunately, we have just a few options pop up (Wha?!? REALLY?!? It's Baltimore, aren't they famous for crab?!?), so we choose to hit Blue Moon Cafe! Yelp directions are on point and only street parking from what we can see. We brave the brisk chilly breeze of early May to get to the cafe... BRRRR!!! Inside motif has a dark theme to it and small patronage area. Per the lovely Nicki who greeted us, Blue has been on Food Network a few times... DDD, Best Things I Ever Ate & Destination FOOD... so settin' the bar HIGH from the start! Ok, okay I dig the confidence!! Menu is via QR code but Nicki, becuz she's fun, excitedly announces the recs to the newbies, which are Sweet Baby Jesus & Cap'n Crunch French Toast. Thanks for the heads up! Sweet Baby has lump Crab in the dish so that's a confident YES! for that, but I spy something more appealing than Cap'n Crunch... Let's EAT! SWEET BABY JESUS!: Wifey and I wanted crab and this was Blue's big gun! So YES! To The Dish! It may appear as a simple Hash Brown dish but it is so much GLORIOUS than that! To start, Hash browns are browned & crisped perfectly and then the angel's touch happens... lump crab (generous portion) with Old Bay Seasoning, fresh diced tomatoes, melty cheese, 2 over Medium eggs and homemade Hollandaise Sauce. HOLEY MOLEY! DEEE-LISH! Generous crab serving allows you to have crab with EVERY bite of this dish! Mmmmm :) Love the ooey gooey stretchy cheese! Love the runny eggs! And that Hollandaise?!?! LEGIT! This heavenly dish deserves all the hype! The only drawback was the dish got cold fast because of the cold weather outside I assume. By the time I finished my order, and got to helping Wifey, not as WOWzers compared to when it first dropped on our table. Now we know... eat fast when it's cold outside. lol SHUT THE FLUFF UP! FRENCH TOAST: Once I read "peanut butter" in its ingredients, no way I was passing this up! Buh Bye fan fave Cap'n Crunch, maybe next time lol. Officially, menu "says" it's a Pretzel encrusted French Toast, layered with chunky peanut butter, marshmallow fluff and Chocolate drizzle... allegedly. The chocolate drizzle was not present when the plate landed but generous melty smooth peanut butter completely covered the top of the marshmallow fluff. Sliced Granny Smith apples and thin pretzels also topped the dish, with a powdered sugar drizzle over the entire plate. I asked for extra peanut butter on the side just because no one ever puts enough for my liking lol. And whattya know?!? This newest iteration of the dish was FABULOUS! Did they run out of stuff? Who cares! The synergy these items had with each other just made an amazing bite each and every time. BOMB-alicious!!! I don't really like marshmallow but it wasn't a hindrance here. I devoured the entire thing. Compliments to the chef! ;) VERY EASY RECOMMENDATION! Definitely worth a visit and a return visit, as well! If it's cold outside, focus on eating not chit chatting lol ENJOY! :)

My husband and I recently dined at Blue Moon Cafe in Fells Point, Baltimore, and were disappointed…read moreby our experience. The issue began when my husband politely asked a question about a menu item because it appeared to be spelled "browns" rather than "hash browns." He simply wanted clarification regarding what the item was. The server asked him for context, and he explained that he was referring to the item as it appeared on the menu. She then replied, "Oh, now I have context. That's a hash brown." My husband explained that because of the way it was written, he wasn't sure what it meant and was only asking a question before ordering. At that point, the server's tone became noticeably louder, and she responded, "Well, I only work here. I didn't write the menu." We found this response unnecessarily defensive and dismissive. At no point was my husband criticizing the server or correcting her. He was simply trying to understand a menu item. Shortly afterward, a different server began assisting our table, which gave us the impression that the original server was upset by the interaction. When my husband placed his order, he specifically requested that the restaurant's "animal sauce" be served on the side. The menu does not explain what animal sauce is, so he wanted to try it separately before putting it on his meal. When the food arrived, the dish was completely covered in the sauce rather than having it on the side as requested. Afterward, we learned that the sauce is a mixture of ketchup and mayonnaise. My husband does not eat mayonnaise and ketchup on eggs, which is exactly why he requested the sauce on the side. Unfortunately, because of the uncomfortable interaction earlier, he did not feel comfortable asking for the dish to be corrected and simply tried to eat around it. The meal was not inexpensive, and because the sauce had been poured over most of the food, he was unable to enjoy it. Approximately 80% of his meal was left uneaten. We understand that mistakes happen and that restaurant environments can be busy. However, customers should be able to ask questions about menu items and make simple requests without feeling uncomfortable or concerned about how those requests will be received. Description of waitress: Caucasian Middle aged Heavy set Extremely loud voice Rude ( nice/nasty) We wanted to share this feedback because the interaction negatively impacted our dining experience and left us feeling unwelcome. We hope this feedback is received in the spirit intended so that future guests feel comfortable asking questions and making requests without concern.
