    Veggie omelette with home fries
    Jacquetta P.

My company recently moved into the same building. I was extremely excited to see this cafe on site. I noticed they stay pretty busy, so naturally assumed they would be good. I've had the fish hoagie with chops and a veggie omelette with home fries well done with onions. Both were pretty good and I'd definitely order again.

There are two kiosks where you order. I got the french toast matcha latte which was ready quickly. The matcha wasn't the best quality or wasn't prepared properly, imo. Maybe their coffee is better? I also noticed a section on the menu labeled "gluten free" but the only option listed was a bag of chips. Would be nice to see some other offerings for GF folks.

While waiting my brothers and I played Jenga that the cafe offers and also monopoly which is this super cute specialized version for the area, Arbutus/Baltimore. This cafe is so cute and quiet - a great place to get some work done, have a small meeting or chill with your family. If I lived nearby this would definitely be a regular place I would come to get work done. To drink, I ordered something on seasonal media specifically their Rose B. Chai (I forgot the second word ) which a mix of chai and rosemary. And dare I say it's the PERFECT FUSION!!! It's so good! at first I was a little skeptical thinking it shouldn't work but it does. Now unfortunately my mom didn't approve and she has a more of a sweet tooth than I do so maybe different people have their different opinion but I loved it. There's also an orange creamsicle drink that's on the menu that I really want to try.I didn't have time to order food but the prices are super reasonable like less than $10. I really liked this place and next time I'm in the area I will definitely stop by.

We picked this location mostly because it was conveniently located just off the highway on our way home. It's situated in what felt like a small downtown area of Arbutus. The inside of the coffee shop is much larger than it appears from the outside and, in addition to the main café area, it also includes a community room. Once inside the coffee shop space, there's a cooler with drinks and a small display case with their pastries. For our coffees that morning, I went with a large hot Lavender Dreams latte, while my wife ordered the Peach Keen cold brew. It took somewhere between 5 to 10 minutes before we had our coffees and were on our way. My coffee tasted good as I could clearly taste both the lavender and the honey, but there was still plenty of strong coffee flavor on the backend. My wife's coffee, on the other hand, wasn't so good. The peach flavor was extremely strong and sweet, and both of us thought it clashed in a strange way with the bold cold brew. The bottom line for me is that I might stop by here again in the future. While I enjoyed my coffee, my wife's was definitely one of the weirder flavors I've tasted and not in a good way.

Rather than being greeted or seated, I was handed a menu across the counter and instructed to return to the same counter when I was ready to place my order. Hoping to start simply, I requested a coffee. I was given a mug and told the coffee station was self-service. Regrettably, that mug should have been inspected more carefully before use. After preparing my own coffee and taking the first sip, I noticed an unpleasant waxy sensation on my lips. A quick glance at the rim revealed the unmistakable mark of lipstick from a previous guest. It was both unhygienic and deeply off-putting. The food itself did little to redeem the experience. The omelette arrived topped with onions that were cold and soggy, and the interior was filled with undercooked egg that had an unappetizing, gelatinous texture. The French toast, meanwhile, was notably dry and lacked the richness and balance one would expect from a well-executed brunch staple. I make a point of supporting local, independent establishments whenever possible, often choosing them over chain restaurants. Unfortunately, this visit fell far short of expectations and left me wishing I had made a different choice.

It had coconut flakes on it so I had to chew each time I took a sip, and I didn't really taste any chocolate. The cold brew itself was good though, bold and not grainy at all. I ordered from a kiosk or you could order online or in person. I got the bacon egg and cheese croissant and it was made quickly by welcoming staff. It was a regular size croissant with very light cheese and a layer of crispy bacon pieces in a well toasted croissant. The flavor was good. I didn't care for the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. It was kind of dry and it tasted like something was missing. The croffle was amazing. The coffee flight came out and it's on a large paddle and it looked really delicious. There were 6 of us, and they were able to put two tables together to accommodate us. I was overall disappointed with the food. The waffle which I paid $5 for was super small and there were just chunks of sugar in it. I also ordered scrambled eggs with spinach and cheese. The spinach came out on the side of the eggs and was uncooked. The cheese was not melted, and the eggs were burnt (dark brown and dry). The waitress was kind enough to take the eggs back for the cheese and spinach to be mixed/melted. They were still burnt and flavorless. I picked around and ate what I could. I also ordered some kind of spinach and feta pastry from the front case, which was good. We also all enjoyed the homefries which were crispy with a unique seasoning. We ordered the stuffed french toast which had a great flavor, but it wasn't really stuffed, there were just toppings on it. My nephew ordered the chicken and waffles. He's 15. I'm guessing that waitress assumed he was a kid and gave him the kids portion. Either way, the fried chicken looked like two pieces of frozen chicken schnitzel. My mother ordered the Reuben and did not like it at all because it lacked flavor.
