And it was so filling! I was set for the day. This time, I was there at 7am, after working all night-and the sparkling guava margarita was the perfect morning cocktail-refreshing and not too sweet. I could have parked there and had one or three more... but boarding was calling. I'm already looking forward to my next trip-and will head to TPA early, so I can stop here again. For a meal that cost around $18, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect something as simple as tortilla chips to be fresh. It definitely took away from the overall experience. On the positive side, my order was ready on time, and the staff was friendly and welcoming when I picked it up. The ambiance is typically lively. I'm hoping this was just an off day because the tacos were genuinely good. If they paid a little more attention to quality control on the sides, I'd be much more likely to order again.

The menu...wow...Paella...on a menu...in an airport? You've got to be kidding me! As much as I wanted to try the Paella, I could not...a 5-hour flight would not lend itself so well to being that full...because from the look of it, nothing was 'half sized'. However, I went with the Cuban Combo...which honestly, ended up being the same situation! I stopped into the Columbia Café Market at TPA airport thinking it would be as good as the downtown…read morelocation, but the experience missed the mark. Service felt uneven -- the guests next to me got attentive treatment while my server seemed more focused on her phone than the customers. When I asked about the coffee, I got an "I don't know," and the coffee itself wasn't Cuban coffee at all. It tasted watered‑down and definitely not fresh. I ordered simple poached eggs, which I was told would take five minutes, but they didn't arrive for almost 20-30. Meanwhile, people seated after me were getting full meals before my eggs even showed up. Even the folks around me weren't impressed with their food. Overall, I wanted to like this place, but between the lackluster service, disappointing coffee, and long wait for something simple, I wouldn't recommend it. There are better spots in the airport for good coffee and consistent service.
