This was a very pleasurable trip that will forever encourage me to take the train and not consider driving or taking a Uber or catching a Lyft Bravo MTA, you did a fine job with the F train even though there were slight delays. Hey, it's 6/6/26 (Anniversary of D-Day), so it's time for a review of the #6 train! Back in the…read moreday, I rode the IRT Lexington Ave local train from Canal St to 96th St (and back) every day for 6 years to and from school. The ride was typically 1/2 hour long (barring delays) starting at 7:30am, since it was a local train. I can still remember all 9 stops along the way. The 1/2 hr ride was also good for finishing up last minute homework, reading assignments or just a quick nap. Sometimes we would meet friends along the way that got on at intermediate stops. As the train went uptown, it gets more and more crowded, so we were lucky to get on towards the beginning of the route to get seats. Back then, there was no air-conditioning, just a fan built into the roof of the subway car and during the summers, it was unbearable. If you sat at the end of the car, you can open up the sliding door, just to get a breeze. It was also fun to ride in the front car next to the motorman's compartment and look out the front window as the train is rolling through the tunnels at 30 mph.

Let's say you are trying to go from 1st stop to uptown like 125th street station, it might take 35 or 40 mins on this local train and it can be less crowded than an express train and you know what, maybe it Is possible to get a seat as well. It does get crowded ( depending on the time of day or night) though as well during rush hour especially at busy stops like Union Square 14th street, 42nd street grand central station or 86 TH street ( one of the busiest).

This man, who stank like Bigfoot's Dick and whose pants were lacking where they were most needed, gave another soul his last bit of change. Thank you, C Train, for teaching me the meaning of generosity. And also for making me 30 minutes late to my soccer game. And for traumatizing my girlfriend.

Awesome! A must see…read more Every Sunday starting after Thanksgiving through December, the MTA rolls out it's vintage subway cars from the transit museum. Immaculately restored and for a normal fare, you can ride on these cars on the F line from 2nd ave to 145th, making normal stops along the way. You are able to walk through each car to see the different styles and remodels. It's acceptable to dress in time period clothing as well. Original signs, advertisements, lighting systems, fans, ventilation are all displayed and completely functional. The car was getting hot, so, the fans turned on! It's a very special experience to ride on a car that people used from over 100 years ago. It makes you appreciate the technology of the subway system. So cool, particularly if you are partial to vintage and old NY history.

There was plenty of room to stow our bags, and the seats were comfortable. The four-seater table group in the middle of the train car was pretty cramped for leg room on the way back, but other than that, it was very pleasant as a passenger. (It gave me plenty of time to work on these Yelp reviews!) The outlets in the seats worked perfectly. The bathroom was quite spacious to accommodate wheelchairs. Some passengers were a confused as to how to flush with the hand wave by the toilet (gross), and I absolutely hated the finicky hand drier. However, the fact that bathroom facilities are available that you couldn't get on a personal car road trip is really nice! We sat in the quiet car at the back of the train both ways. People were respectful of observing the silence throughout the ride, so if you'd like to nap or just enjoy some peace, I recommend the quiet car. After making two separate efforts to clarify why Precision's price quote was so high and why the Lowest Price Guarantee wasn't being honored, I went with another company. And, I'm really happy that I did. The company that earned my business, was not only comparable, but, in my opinion even superior. Muhammad's response appears to indicate that the companies that gave me price quotes were somehow inferior. Precision has been in business 18 years, and the company I went with has been in business longer. Precision's price quote was much higher than the competition and was for a Cadillac or Volvo sedan, not the beautiful new black SUV that picked up my girlfriend. Lastly, the professional chauffer that was our driver, was impeccably dressed in a black suit and tie. Our driver had over 30 years experience as a licensed, professional chauffer.
