I found Nails From The Heart on Yelp and called for an appointment. She was booked for the day but had a 9:00 a.m. appointment today which I took. She did an excellent job on my French manicure. I didn't want gel because my nails are long, thick and healthy. She asked me about the length and i told her I liked the length, she didn't take any off, she actually listened to me. I had previously been a smoker so my nails were discolored, she buffed them all out and I now have nice white nails to go with my healthy lungs. She did a beautiful freelance painting of the French manicure and I left there very happy. She is so personable and kind. I can't wait to go back for my pedicure. It was refreshing to be in a salon where you felt welcomed, not rushed and was able to communicate with the specialist. I highly recommend Penny. Thanks Penny!

He went ahead and trimmed the nails too short beyond the point that is comfortable and rounded each toe nail instead, with an odd corner cut on the big toes. Instead of using Apres Gel-X, she used regular soft tips with a glue from a tube that became squishy and gel-like. A lot of the glue seeped out from under the extensions, which was a bit bothersome. Some of the tips also don't fully cover my nails, causing my hair to get caught under the corners. My first time getting this service was with Honey and she was fantastic, so I was really hoping for the same quality while on vacation, especially for the price. Unfortunately, it didn't quite meet those expectations. I wish more care had been taken to size the nails properly and use the standard Apres Gel-X method.
