The stylists have lots of space for their stations too. The salon is located in a shopping center so there is plenty of parking. Fortunately, I've rarely felt compelled to write a negative review for a business however in life, I expect people to treat me as I do them. courteously and respectfully. In a service industry, the customer experience is everything and starts from the top down. When an owner of a salon approaches a customer in an unwarranted aggressive and disrespectful manner (as was my experience today) it shows that he/she has no regard for the value of their clients let alone another human being. Came here today with a Groupon I purchased. I was weary to come after I read the yelp reviews, but since I already spent my money I made an appointment. I had my hair cut, colored, and blown out by Stephanie. It looks amazing, She did a really nice job!! She took her time and explained everything to me. The Salon was very nice clean & calm, and I was asked more than once if I needed anything. There are some very mean comments on here, I wouldn't base my opinion on them since I had a clearly very different good experience. I suggest coming in for yourself and then share your experience. It's been an ongoing struggle with my current hair stylist to get on the same color page for a while and I wanted to try someone new. I called Lisa Thomas Salon and said I needed someone who specialized in blond hair; the front desk referred me to Monica and then set me up with a 15 minute consolation the next day with her to discuss treatment and color. Monica was very patient, listened to my concerns and frustrations with my current stylist and took the time to recommend several appropriate treatments and a color plan. I went in today and Monica did a pre-treatment clarifying wash, full head of highlights, toner and cut/blow dry. She did a stunning job transforming my dull, brassy blond color into a gorgeous bright and ashy blond. The cut and blow dry were great as well. I have never had a bad experience at this salon. Been coming here since it was Great Expectations. I have very long hair and got a full head of highlights today and a cut. I was the first appointment of the day and did not have to wait to get started. Christina did my hair and was really great. She chatted with me the whole time and really listened to what I wanted done to my hair. I will definitely have her do my hair again! The salon is kept extremely clean and everyone, including the receptionist, is very kind. I was offered coffee or tea, and I never felt like she was rushing to get me out of there. I have very long damaged hair (reaches up to my hip bones and dyed blonde) that was in desperate need of a haircut. My stylist was Heidi and I loved her! She made great suggestions about what haircut I should have to give my hair more volume and show off my color more. I appreciate the fact that she really listens to you about what you want out of a haircut- being super careful about how much length to cut off and explaining each part of the cut being done. So, I think my search for a new hairstylist/salon is over! I accidentally found this place when I was looking for an affordable place for my little one to get a haircut. Monika did a great job and I asked about possibly getting a haircut from her in the future. She was super nice and even did a mini consultation right there. I booked an appointment for two weeks later. I have wavy, very dark, thick hair that tends to get bulky. I went in for a balayage- she picked out the perfect color for me that complemented my natural color and skin tone so well, and was not at all streaky like with some other styles I've had in the past. She was meticulous, constantly checking on how my hair was doing, while multi-tasking with other clients. The other employees there were also so nice, willing to help each other out. Now to my haircut-- absolutely loved it! I wanted a low maintenance cut and she nailed it! It felt so light and she styled it exactly how I liked. As a first-time client, the front desk provides you with a welcome packet with discounts and a cute welcome letter. The place is super busy and can get crowded but the clients there all seem to be down-to-earth people, just like the people working there. This place does not respect your business. So I have dark hair and it is not just this salon but any other salon I go, they cannot get my hair the way I like, every other salon tries to make the customer by whom they get their Paycheck feel at least respected. The other salon I used to go was always very supportive of understanding what I want in the first place. These guys don't even pay attention to what is told to them. Now they charge $200 for coloring. When they first did my hair, they did not do a good job, when a customer is unhappy, what do you do as a service provider? Try to resolve patiently! But guess what here in this LISA THOMAS SALON girls do, they are out of high school and sitting there commenting about you, they blacklist you saying you are "difficult" and a "no" guest so guys who ever goes here make sure that they have a comment about you next to your file! And this time yet again she colored my hair and the existing hair color that I had was gone, so naturally I asked her, I am paying $200 not to listen to your crap, the women were literally talking behind my back and I could hear them. Then the owner tells me you are being difficult! Can you believe the level of respect and patience this place has! and I have been going to them for so long. Kudos to your service, you will never succeed by disrespecting customers ever! That is the basic rule of business. Enjoy while it lasts and tell your employees to have decency to at least bitch about customers where they can't hear you! I still paid them btw. Sucks! Do not go to this place to be treated in a way you wouldn't treat anyone. Sadly when you ask for something you want you are perceived as "difficult" such is direction taken at this place. Notice all the responses of the owner for a negative review have been focused on blaming the customers. Imagine amazon told you after taking your money you are a difficult customer and the product we give you will not be of the quality you expect. Amazon will never ever do that! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I had got my keratin treatment from them, the day I washed my hair they became literally back to normal as they were before, the frizz was there, the curls were there and extremely damaged! I called them to ask about Lisa and they lied that she is not in town, and my friend saw her at the salon the same day! Lucy did the keratin and she was not so very nice also. In 30 minutes my teenage daughter's hair was permanently destroyed, staff spent the next nine hours reapplying yellow and blue corrective dye which resulted in traffic light green shoulder length, frizzy clown hair from what was very long, wavy brown hair. Upon my arrival, near hour eight, I asked stylist what lead up to this situation. Stylist mumbled a few things, but could not explain at what point in the hair processing complication was identified. She is very very young and inexperienced, she seemed shaken, and probably exhausted. The sum of our dialog was such that my daughter and I would return on Sunday to continue removing green from remaining hair or to adapt hair to acceptable state. My daughter came home crying with a plastic bag on her head, and goo/conditioner dripping out everywhere which she was told not to wash out. She cried the entire night. Today, when I inquired on details of corrective action, manager flew into psychotic frenzy of incoherent screaming, denying any problem, rapidly switching topics, false claims as to her first hand knowledge. WOW I asked to speak with the owner, which was met with more screaming, and invention of details not based in reality such as having video tape of my daughter very specifically requesting all hair to be treated, multiple conflicting accounts of the initial state of my daughters hair, accusing me of unspecified wrong-doing, repetitive droning about their chemical expertise and required precautions which were not necessary for "professionals". At some point, I felt it appropriate to interrupt the rant of things past, by returning to topic of corrective action. At this point, the response began on the order of , "depending on how much you want to pay, we could re -dye..." A very sad sad situation at the Lisa Thomas Salon. Things happen, and hair can and does go wrong. These people cannot control their own behavior let alone a sensitive treatment process or the challenge of doing business in good faith. read more

I went to this salon to do my hair with Jess.. I initially asked for pink balayage showed pictures made it VERY clear what I wanted and put my trust in her. The process took 6 hrs. I was left with bleach in my hair for 1 hr and 15 mins while someone else's hair was being done by Jess.. she checked on my hair in between 1 time. When I typically get my hair done my hair gets checked every 10 mins to make sure it's not completely destroying my hair. My hair has never been so damaged by bleach... I've bleached my hair before but this time was by far the worst. Besides the point the color I got when I was done was practically red which was fine it still looked ok although not what I wanted. 2 washes in the color fades. I did my hair January 15th and now the color is COMPLETELY gone. Typically a glaze is needed 6-8 weeks later but never because the color completely faded. I am very disappointed. Also the pricing is ridiculous. I've gotten AMAZING balayage done before for way cheaper it didn't make sense. I just thought I'd try someone new who came recommended. So now I have damaged hair without the color I wanted. When I had mentioned to the hair stylist what happened after 2 washes I was told that she had told me the color would fade but she didn't say it would COMPLETELY come off like I never colored it and then recommended I get a glaze so basically take more of my money for the same thing to happen again.. no thank you. I understand all hair is different but for it to look like I never colored my hair less then a month out is a serious issue and this salon should really look at the quality of their product. read more
