I had a gold bracelet I wanted to sell, so before I went into this pawn shop, I weighed the…read morebracelet myself and looked online to get a rough estimate on how much scrap gold was going for at that time. ​Based off the online price of scrap gold at the time and the weight of my bracelet, the bracelet was worth $300.00 I knew that the pawn shops price for scrap gold would be less than the online price, so I used the online price just ​for a rough estimate to keep in mind. ​I went into the pawn shop and spoke to the guy behind the counter for a few minutes, and I'm assuming the few questions I asked him about gold gave him the impression that I didn't really know anything about it. Which is true, I don't know anything about it at all, except for the scrap value of it online. T​he guy offered me $150 for it and told me ​they offer 10 to 15% less than standard scrap value because of the time it takes them to prepare gold to be scrapped , I told him that when I looked online at scrap gold price and ran the numbers, the bracelet is worth around $300. He proceeded to tell me that the most he can give me for it is $150.00 I was going to accept it because I needed the money, but when I handed him my driver's license to finish the deal, he reminded me that my license was expired and I would need to come back in with a valid form of ID to go through with the deal. ​All and all, my driver's license being expired that day kept me from losing out on $100.00 because a few days later I went out to a gold buyer in sequim and he offered me $250.00 for the exact same bracelet!!

He was watching us almost obsessively the entire time we were there and seemed annoyed when I asked to see something that was in the case. After taking a look, I decided against purchasing the item that I was looking at, as the ring was too small for me. I thanked him for getting it out of the case and he accused me of stealing. It is important to note that he required me to come to the front of the store to try them on, which is understandable. However, he did not ask the white women who wished to look at earrings only mere minutes before me. I calmly explained to him that I had not and emptied my pockets onto the counter and told him he was welcome to look through my small purse. He insisted that I stole one of the rings even after I politely showed him everything inside my purse. No sort of an apology was given and I promptly left, as racist establishments do not deserve my business. I would highly recommend to avoid this place if you are a minority, unless you want to be accused of stealing!

My iPhone was currently not holding a charge, dying on me on the regular and when I actually checked in Settings, the iPhone message stated that I needed to get a new battery. So it was time to head to EFix, glad to have this new business close by rather then heading into Silverdale or Poulsbo! Mike took my call ordered a new battery that took less than a day to receive. Once I came in, he was able to swap my battery out in half an hour. I also had another issue with my lens and he identified the problem instantly and was able to clean and re-glue my lens that was loose on my old iphone. As you know, our phones are so important and his great customer service as well as such fast service was well appreciated. I knew it was risky and the timeframe was really short and long story short it ended up being a bad choice - the dress I ordered was awful! With only one week before my wedding I rushed to Davids Bridal to try to find a dress off the rack. Obviously though, going to a bridal shop, non-traditional dresses are hard to come by and the best I could find was a cute ivory tea length, A-line dress. I really wanted something colorful and floral still so I found some floral tulle at JoAnne's and then searched for a local seamstress to see if anyone local could figure out something to do with my boring ivory dress, and in just a matter of days! Oh and the shoulders needed to be taken in as well!! Mandy was quick to respond, invited me to her home-based shop and said she could do it and would have it done by the next day!! There was one of RuPaul, Pee Wee Herman and the entire Rose Family from Schitts Creek. There were other great ones too but those really stuck with me. After using the Port Townsend Cleaners that was the only…read moreoption after the one next to Don's Pharmacy closed (it was excellent) I took a beautiful Pendleton wool blanket to be dry cleaned before storing it for summer to the PT cleaners near the Goodwill store. When I got it back it was covered with either cat or rat hair that was imbedded in the wool. This blanket had NEVER been exposed to a cat or dog--or rat. I took it back. They supposedly recleaned it but it still looked exactly the same. No apology and no refund of $50. I took it to a cleaners in Poulsbo next. Same story. Finally I took it to Good Impressions and within the week the blanket was as clean as when we bought it a year before. No special charge at all. Since then it is the only dry cleaners we use. Always excellent! Always friendly and on time.
