OK, this place was recommended to me by a friend and colleague. I called seeking an appointment and was asked, "Can you be here in 10-15 minutes? I can squeeze you in." I packed up my fuzzy friend and drove there. I was quickly and pleasantly greeted, left my little guy there for about 2 hours during which I ran a few local errands. When I returned at the appointed time I found my buddy looking fabulous. The place is not fancy but the service was just wonderful and it stood in stark contrast to a rather negative experience at a chain groomer. This is my new go to place. Lisa was always wonderful!! However, since Lisa sold the business Hailey has taken over and it's been awful! My dog's ears were not cleaned and the was cut was disgusting. His cut was super choppy and looked like steps. He is a golden retriever. This should have never been done. My dog was left in a kennel so long without being checked on that his paw was ripped up and bloody. Hailey didn't even clean the blood off his fur. She assured me it had stopped bleeding, but the blood in my car tells me otherwise. He was shaking he was so terrified!! The building was dirty, and smelled. Even the fish tank needed cleaned. I am very disappointed since Lisa no longer works in the shop. We have given Haley numerous chances to get it right but this last time (and this IS THE LAST TIME) was the last straw! Haley told us to pick up our dogs at 2 PM last Saturday. We arrived a few minutes early because in the past my 2 dogs were finished and just waiting in the crate. Haley said "it's not 2 o'clock yet" so we came back 20 minutes later. When we came back, Haley was still working on one of my dogs when a man walked in with a small dog and Haley asked him if he wanted a nail trim. He said yes and she proceeded to leave my dog chained up on the counter (because she wasn't finished cutting his hair) while she trimmed the other dog's nails!!!! What NERVE!! I almost said something but I knew I would NEVER be bring my dogs back there again. That was not only rude but very poor customer service. Needless to say she did NOT receive a tip and we shouldn't have even paid the full amount. After we got home, we noticed that one of my dogs had a big patch of hair she missed but we definitely did not want to take him back for Haley to try and fix. Beware! they cut a huge chunk out of my dogs top knot. They shaved his ears without being asked to I specifically asked they not touch his head but decided upon themselves to cut his ears? It's mostly my fault for choosing convenience over quality. I thought they might have done a decent job since they have at least a 4 stars and was a few dollars cheaper. I scheduled an appointment for a next day service. The place was pretty gross. I get it it's a grooming store front but I got there first thing in the morning it had a disgusting smell dark and gloomy. The cages were dirty. I felt maybe I shouldn't judge them by their shop so I kept the appointment. Boy was I wrong. Their cuts are just as bad if not worse than their shop. I've learned to go with my gut feeling. My $140 definitely would have felt better spending it elsewhere. read more

BE WARNED! The prices on their website are misleading, honestly just a lie. On their website it says "Our grooming package includes... nail trimming, anal gland expression, ear cleaning, bath, dry, brush out, and hair cut if you choose. Packages prices start at... $26 and up for small to medium sized dogs $52 and up for medium to large sized dogs $71 and up for extra Large dogs" So despite brush out being included, if your dog has a lot of hair, they charge you more. Despite hair cut being included, if you want the hair cut, they will charge you more Also, they deemed my 37 pound Aussie an "extra large dog" to charge me the max amount. So make sure to ask how much they are actually going to charge you!! read more

The reason that I'm posting this Review is i'm hoping it will help the new owner. She took a dog that I just rescued from the family member and he was in pretty bad shape. She took him within twenty four hours of my call and I had a lot of Critique for her because her facility was a little dirty After I dropped my pet there I stopped in a parking lot near her facility and read the reviews and saw some things that I didn't like and it kind. Of scared me. I called her and told her I thought maybe I would like to come back and take my dog because I was scared but she believed me and told me. That she understood and that I could come get my pet. But instead I took my chances with her because she was sweet and I told her I would give her a chance. And as I said above I did critique the shape of her facility and a few other things. The groom was not perfect but it was not too bad either and I do think She is still learning and I hope she takes good advice and Maybe? Redecorate? And put? Some. Money into the facility when? She. Can and keep? The. Facility in tip? Top shape including cleanliness . This lady killed a dog and now I can see this lady is just flat out negligent. took my 15 year old rescue here and recieved her back with bloody arms. Turns out her skin tags were cut off. I never recieved a message about it. I was cleaning up the obvious blood in the car and just knew I wouldn't be revisiting. First red flag was Lisa the owner saying she didn't care about Taffeys vet vaccine records. After taffey getting cut up from here she got a bacteria infection that costed several hundred dollars. Now that I'm learning a dog has lost its life in Lisa's care, I believe Taffey got an infection from dirty supplies. This lady does not care about your animal. Please go else where. read more

But the last time I took my Papillon she came back hoarse like someone had chocked her and she charged me for cleaning out her anus sak ( dont know official name) but it was not done. My Dog of 13lbs comes home damp and wet, chunks of hair cut out of fur here and there.... My dog looks like A** when I get outside into the natural light...... Why is the shop so dark? Counter top so high? Cheap pet shop crates? And who puts a wire ribbon around a dog's neck she does every time I pick up my dog she's got a ribbon that has metal wire in it around her neck to make her look cute she looks awful!!! Dogs begging for any human attention, barking so loud she can't hear me telling her how to groom my dog. Why is she wearing headphones booming her music while taking care of other people's pets she can't hear the dogs cry out for help especially if she has the heater on them. Why is the place painted orange and black it's so dark outside and inside. My little dog has shown so much anxiety and stress when I pick her up from there. My dog now comes home full of hair, stamping everything in her path w/ fur balls & hair leftovers. I've asked for an additional blow afterwards,but nothing. Zero stars I am still in absolute shock as to what happened to my baby Coco. I took her to Lisa's pet parlor to get groomed on Dec 18th 2022 like I have done so many times before. I dropped her off at 8:30 am , at 3:30pm I called to ask if she was ready to be picked up and I was informed that there had been an accident. I kept asking what happened and I kept getting I don't know but she's DEAD. What how , when and why wasn't I called ? Did you rush her to a vet ? All questions I asked and got NO clear answer too. I also asked what time she died and was told 11-1130 that morning. when I arrived there the groomer was conducting business as usual and had my baby wrapped in a blanket in a kennel by the front door. I again asked what happened and she told a different story and swore no heaters were used on my baby. When I got her to the vet at 4-430 I told them what happened and they took her temperature and it was 96.8. There is no way that her body temperature was still normal if she passed away hours prior. We called her back because we wanted answers and she admitted that she had heat on the dog below mine and left them unattended. They killed my baby and didn't even bother to try and get her help. Nor did they even notify me that she had passed away. I am so heartbroken and angry. I am so sorry Coco ! You will be missed dearly! I love you and may you rest in paradise my sweet girl. read more

A month or two ago, we did a walk in because our dogs' nails were too long and Stanley's had crossed over and he wouldn't let us uncross them. The poor puppies' feet were hurting so badly that they were grumpy and irritable. As soon as my mom told her about the puppies, she said to bring them on in and she clipped their toes right there. Stanley hates having his feet touched so of course he isn't a fan of nail trimmings, and he tried to argue with her but she was so quick with it and he liked her afterwards lol. It was quick for both, and the puppies felt much better afterward! We will be coming back probably within the next two weeks to clip their nails again and maybe get the full grooming package. read more

My dog is treated well and loves going to daycare there. Heidi, young and relatively new owner, has taken over the pet parlor from Lisa. I am impressed with her work ethic and how she treats my fur baby who clearly likes her. The facilities could you some remodeling but I don't think the dogs really care about this. When taking my doggie into this place instally was nervous because several dogs where all together and my sweet dog is not used to being around large barking dogs so scared her anyways so left her there for 6 hours and when I picked her up went to pet her and my hand was covered in dirt and hair. Assuming that they had bathed and brushed her . Nope and she had white powdery substance and dandruff still all over her. Assuming she was cleaned I had called ad asked what they had done and they said they bathed her and put perfume on her! Well I'm not sure why they did that. But I am taking her in again so she can actually be cleaned hopefully. read more

On short notice I called Lisa yesterday about getting our English Lab's nails trimmed. She said "bring him in...just takes a minute." So this morning I bundled Carson into the car and Lisa came right out...nail clipper in hand...and cut his nails in about 1 1/2 minutes tops. Super service! Lisa is very friendly. She was grooming two dogs and she runs a Doggie Day Care as well. Nice clean premises. The day care dogs were inside a well enclosed clean area...5 dogs maybe. They also had a door to go outside to a fenced area. All dogs well behaved and hardly paid attention to Carson and me. I was impressed with Lisa's operation. Will be back! read more

I wish I could give ZERO stars. I gave this place/person a chance because it was close to where I live and my regular person was still in quarantine. Biggest mistake of my dog's life. Now I get why the rates are so low. You get what you pay for. She fake smiled in my face and took my dog in the back room and was out in about 90 seconds. Some nails weren't even clipped and others were clipped too short. She traumatized my dog by cutting the quick on more than one nail. I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN!!! I am very disappointed in this business I use to take my previous dogs to Lisa's Pet Pawlor for many years and Lisa use to do a pretty good job until approximately a year before her retirement. At that point her attention to detail with grooming had gone downhill. I guess when you are on your way out, you have an "I don't care" attitude. If you have a love for your furry animals, like I do, I would not recommend that you take your furry dog to Lisa's Pet Pawlor. You will only set yourself up for major disappointment. Also, the gal (family member) that is currently working there does not know what she is doing. She has zero grooming knowledge and experience. When I picked up my dog 6 hours later, his hair was butchered and his nails were not properly cut. I asked her to fix his hair cut because it was so uneven and she made it worse. I was so distraught. She didn't even offer a discount. As a result of her poor grooming skills, I had to take my dog to another groomer immediately afterwards to have them fix what the inexperienced so called groomer did. I will never go back there ever again! This business gets a BIG ZERO STARS!!! read more

Walking into the shop and be surrounded by dim gloomy lights at the service counter should have been a clue of the dull service to come. I brought my dog Jasper, a mixed breed hound/yellow lab for grooming on the recommendation of a friend, fellow pet lover. When I picked him up, I petted him and felt a sticky film on his short hair coat. Don't think he got a good rinse and the fur was still wet. I took him outside to the car and was able to see in the better light that he was not really brushed and the sticky film was soap residue. There were lots of loose hair that was just sitting on top of his coat. I had to brush him before putting him into my car. I was really disappointed in the quality of work. I was in a hurry to get him home and didn't complain. Also, they charge extra if you use a credit card for payment. Something not posted. Then it could have been, but the place was so dark one would have easily miss seeing it. Like a dummy, I took Jasper back for a second session a few weeks later. Same poor results. I mentioned my concerns this time to the woman at the shop and she gave me some excuses. None of her explanations justified the money I spent and misery my Jasper had to endure No more Lisa Pet Pawlor for my Jasper. Sorry Jasper for subjecting you to that place. read more

Lisa is really an amazing groomer. We brought our Shih Tzu/Pom mix Daisy in to her today and she gave her excellent care. She was terribly matted and we just got bombarded with a flea infestation that was making her beyond miserable. My wonderful mother in law treated Daisy to a grooming and we were just stunned at what a difference it made. Lisa has dealt with Daisy at her worst with her mats from hell and there is no one better out there. Her shop might not be fancy and spa-like but her work is top notch. Thank you Lisa. read more

Had 100 pound dog get haircut, I came back and she was shoved into a tiny cage where she couldn't stand up or turn around, and was shaking from being so upset. When I asked the woman, she didn't know. How does a worker not know anything? This is probably why the woman just let tons of dogs bark non-stop. My dog was so sore, she couldn't get into the vehicle by herself. The haircut was terrible with several missed spots and steaks. A few of her nails had multiple fractures on them as well. read more

Lisa has always taken great care of our animals and provided the best service out of all the groomers I have ever been to. I would like to start off by saying, we have had good experiences before. But the past few times ( 2-3) the service has been less than acceptable. They have been understaffed, overbooked, overall rushing. 1) In June we took my little Bichon Frisée to get groomed. And when we picked him up he was shaking and snappy. Later we realized that he had a gash on his anus. He bled all over my car. After we got home, we called the Pet Parlor. We told them what happened, the lady who answered told us * that she would talk to Lisa and they would get back to us.* They never did. 2) On September 21st we took him again (bad decision.) My husband forgot to pick him up. We never received a call telling us that no one picked him up. After we realized that he forgot we called, they said * we're closing in 10 minutes, is it okay if we keep him until Tuesday?* ARE YOU SERIOUS, it was a Saturday. And they we just gonna keep him there, W0W. So we drove over there and took him home after petting him we saw that he has ANOTHER cut, this time on his neck. My dog will NOT be going back read more

I took my dog Lucy here on 12/23 and the groomers were very accommodating and took her in even though they were fully booked for the day. I am happy with the haircut Lucy got and didn't notice that she was scared or packed into a small crate like other reviewers have stayed. All in all I am very pleased with their work and definitely plan to bring Lucy to Lisa's next time she needs a grooming. read more

I have to admit the establishment doesn't look like much, but both times we were in dire need to board our dog, there was always an opening-even with such short notice. The last time, we had our chocolate lab dropped off there for 5 days, we picked him up and he was happy, healthy and clean. They even accessoried my pooch with a green kerchief, which made him look even more awesome. I couldn't be happier, especially when i had a very bad experience with an on-base establishment, and had to venture off base. Went here because I saw their price for nail cut was cheaper than my vets office. My Hogan didn't like it. She was skiddish because of the loud noises coming from kennel area. I now it's a dog place but she doesn't act like this when she goes to her 'doggy hotel' which is also loud. Now for the nail cut, placed Hogan on the counter and the person behind grabbed the cutter and did it in front of me. She cut it, paid and left. 10 mins top. I guess I wasn't impress because it take several weeks before we go and get it cut again and this time around Hogan began biting her nails 2 weeks later. Both my Frenchies, Tofu and Quinoa get pampered here with Lisa. She's very accommodating letting me drop off before work and picking up after 5pm. Plus, more often than not- its last minute and I'm already en route but Lisa has always squeezed me in. Yes, it can get loud in there but that's what dogs do- they bark. I have used her doggycare several times on short trips out of town and I always ask for their bath right before pickup. Nice to have a place locally that has worked for us. Lisa's Pet Parlor is amazing. I have been taking my cat Syphillis there for a few years. I love that she is available on the weekends. What I like most is that I can call her the day of and she always accommodates Syphillis. My fiance and I have a tight schedule so it is nice that she squeezes Syphillis in all the time. I just found out that she offers Overnight Boarding at affordable prices. I will be utilizing this service soon; as my Fiance and I will be going on our honeymoon for a week. I have never been disappointed in her service and I know Syphillis has grown to like her. He isn't as scared and nervous when I drop him off.
