    Botched groom

Beware! they cut a huge chunk out of my dogs top knot. They shaved his ears without being asked to I specifically asked they not touch his head but decided upon themselves to cut his ears? It's mostly my fault for choosing convenience over quality. I thought they might have done a decent job since they have at least a 4 stars and was a few dollars cheaper. I scheduled an appointment for a next day service. The place was pretty gross. I get it it's a grooming store front but I got there first thing in the morning it had a disgusting smell dark and gloomy. The cages were dirty. I felt maybe I shouldn't judge them by their shop so I kept the appointment. Boy was I wrong. Their cuts are just as bad if not worse than their shop. I've learned to go with my gut feeling. My $140 definitely would have felt better spending it elsewhere.

The reason that I'm posting this Review is i'm hoping it will help the new owner. She took a dog that I just rescued from the family member and he was in pretty bad shape. She took him within twenty four hours of my call and I had a lot of Critique for her because her facility was a little dirty After I dropped my pet there I stopped in a parking lot near her facility and read the reviews and saw some things that I didn't like and it kind. Of scared me. I called her and told her I thought maybe I would like to come back and take my dog because I was scared but she believed me and told me. That she understood and that I could come get my pet. But instead I took my chances with her because she was sweet and I told her I would give her a chance. And as I said above I did critique the shape of her facility and a few other things. The groom was not perfect but it was not too bad either and I do think She is still learning and I hope she takes good advice and Maybe? Redecorate? And put? Some. Money into the facility when? She. Can and keep? The. Facility in tip? Top shape including cleanliness . I hope that she is a good person as she seems and that the business works out for her and that She becomes very successful.

This lady killed a dog and now I can see this lady is just flat out negligent. took my 15 year old rescue here and recieved her back with bloody arms. Turns out her skin tags were cut off. I never recieved a message about it. I was cleaning up the obvious blood in the car and just knew I wouldn't be revisiting. First red flag was Lisa the owner saying she didn't care about Taffeys vet vaccine records. After taffey getting cut up from here she got a bacteria infection that costed several hundred dollars. Now that I'm learning a dog has lost its life in Lisa's care, I believe Taffey got an infection from dirty supplies. This lady does not care about your animal. Please go else where.

I have 2 Cane Corso's. One is trained in protection work and is with me almost everywhere I go on the daily. My other Corso was adopted from an abusive situation and has trust issues. NO WAY am I willing to leave these dogs in the care of a sitter or a family member as this would not be responsible not only to my dogs, but to the public as well. I first heard about Country Kennels from my trainer and later from a K9 handler from a local PD unit. I was THRILLED to learn that they have "hands off" options in high secured, indoor/outdoor kennel spaces available for high drive and working dogs that are not easily handled by strangers. For the first time in a few years, my husband and I were not only able to take a vacation, but we were able to go somewhere without having to load the dogs up and take them along. IT WAS SOOO NICE knowing Country Kennels was there to keep our animals safe and contained while we were away! This was about 3 years ago now and we have used them several times over the past few years with NO issues! Booking is super simple and prices are straightforward. You have options of kenneling your pets together in one run or putting them in separate runs, and they even have indoor spaces for the little ones, offering a hands on, more attentive approach. I'm able to load up my dogs diet, any medications, blankets or bedding, toys and snacks and drop them off at any desired time within operating hours. **WARNING** & **BEWARE**…read more If you love and care for your pup and its well being, then I urge you DO NOT bring take them here! This place is a DEATH trap! I have taken my pup here on and off consistently over the last 2 years. I have often have had to take breaks from this place due to various incidents. Bites missing patches of hair, and my dog often being extremely hungry and thirsty when returning from there as if he hasn't eaten or had anything to drink at all. Most recently I came to pick up my pup, not knowing they have changed the hours again ( as they often due to lack of employees) to find that my dog was in alone in "isolation" after being attacked and bitten by another dog. A piece of my dogs ear had been bitten off, by what is obliviously a bigger dog, which whom he should have never been left alone with unattended. My pup is a loving, fun and playful 2year old Pug, without an a aggressive bone in his body. They did not notify me of the attack and injury! Although this was an EMERGENCY, in which they allow pick-up, they tried to hide the injury! When I requested to know the details of the injury, they could NOT tell me ANYTHING! They did not have any answer because they were not present when the injury occurred! They could not tell me what happened, or who the attacking dog was. (that would be necessary to know for future stays) but they are completely clueless because they don't watch over the dogs. You drop your pup off and they go in a cage, while the staff goes to stay in a separate area behind the building of where they store the dogs, or they leave! (which I have witnessed They DO NOT watch over the dogs to ensure that there are no incidents! They DO NOT have cameras monitoring your dog while in there care! They take zero preventative measures to ensure your animals safety, despite knowing the various kinds of dogs they keep in there facility. If injury occurs to your animal here; including death, they will tell you" well you signed a liability waiver and this is a open range facility". You will not be granted access to see the inhumane conditions in which they are not caring for your pet or it's well being! Because they are traitorous and beneath most loving pet owners standards. They did not offer any assistance with my $360 vet bill despite my dog permanently having a fraction of his ear missing! They had no care or concern, and turned a blind eye to a loyal customers. Never returned my phone care or showed any concern. The owner ROBERT GRAHAM refused to speak to me to avoid accountability and forced me to talk only to his employee who has no authority or can provide zero resolve. I take partial responsibility knowing the conditions of this place and taking him back despite the previous incidents which occurred in their care that they had no care or concern about! Just pay more and go to a reputable, dog sitter or day care! There are plenty of places! They didn't even bother trying to clean the wound with soap and water and applying antibiotics, they provided zero care! She is the owner. I was a little taken back because I was always greeted pleasantly by Bree. So I had asked is Bree in today and the first thing that I found unprofessional and rude because of the way it was said from this lady Amandaa she goes "oh Bree yeah she doesn't work here anymore and she opened up her new groomers right down the street without giving me notice. (In an unpleasant tone) I had got bad vibes from this lady because she was not warm or welcoming and she just seemed angry. With hesitation having a bad feeling of leaving my dogs there. She proceeded to be snobby as I was explaining to her about my dog's conditions with responses of I have been doing this 29 years. I know how to care for dogs and Saturdays are our busiest days she then grabbed my dog by the collar and immediately put him in a kennel which my dog has health issues and Bree is the only one who knows this and knows how to care for him so he was not used to that. Long story short I left feeling uneasy and not comfortable with doing so, but I had to turn around because my gut was not feeling right and I picked him back up and the first thing that came out of her mouth was really?? Well did you call Bree? And I politely said no I just don't have a good feeling and I would like my dogs back. For that reason since she has been doing it for years, I think she's quite over it with her attitude and I would not recommend bringing your dogs here. On a good note Bree opened up her own doggy groomers. About five minutes away. It is called DIVINE TIMING in LAKEWOOD. I brought my dog there today and he was so happy to see her and did very well even though he has seizures. He didn't have one seizure that should tell you a lot by How patient and caring she is towards animals. I would highly NOT recommend the Paw Spa and head over to DEVINE TIMING to see Bree .. tell her Selena and max sent you!
