Pastéis de Belém
Happie M.

First of all, the place was very inviting & not overly decorated, & music wasn't too loud. Our server was very nice. She answered all our questionsal and made some recommendations. The food we ordered were great! I ordered the Lamb Chops - medium well. It was very tender & on point! The squid was done perfectly. We will def come back to try the other items on the menu. If wasn't driving, I would've ordered a pitcher of the white sangria. The flavor was not too over powering, not too sweet. Just right. For dessert, we ordered the pastéis de Belém. It came in two servings. We were told that their pastéis were imported from Lisbon. It tasted just like from the pastry shop in Lisbon (when we went), it was next to the Jerónimos Monastery. I love their pastéis! We waited in line & was worth the wait!

Bacalhau Com Natas (Codfish, onion, potatoes and cream)

My Dad wanted Portuguese food for Father's Day so we selected Lisbon in Dr Phillips Marketplace. The restaurant is very nice inside, all blues and white decor. When our server came, she did ask if we spoke English or Portuguese and then gave us the English menus. She admitted her English wasn't perfect but we had no issues understanding her and she provided great service. To start, we were served the delicious rolls including butter and olive oil on the table. We did note that you only get one bread basket (we had 2 rolls each) as the menu notes that additional bread is $5. For appetizers, we ordered the cod fritters and the Portuguese sausage flambéed table side. The fritters were great, crispy but soft with potatoes and cod inside, and they stayed very warm. The flaming sausage was fun to watch and tasted good as well, like a slightly spicy hot dog, although somewhat chewy. For dinner, I wasn't that hungry so I got the garlic shrimp appetizer and a side of rice which was perfect for me and very flavorful. My mom got the Bacalhau Com Natas, an oven baked casserole with codfish, cream and potatoes. She really liked it, especially when she added some of my rice to it. My dad got the Carne de Porco Alentejana which is pork with clams and potatoes. He really liked his as well. Finally for dessert, I got the Serradura, also known as Sawdust Pudding, which is crushed Maria Biscuits laced with sweet whipped cream. I very much enjoyed it. My parents had the egg custard tarts but were surprised they were served warm instead of cold. Our served confirmed that they are traditionally served warm. Everything was great, I just thought the prices were a bit high, plus the extra charges for additional bread, sharing ($5 per shared entree) and that credit card payments had a 3% surcharge.

BACALHAU À GOMES DE SÁ

We had a wonderful dining experience at Lisbon in Orlando. Our server, Robert, was attentive, friendly, and made us feel very well taken care of from start to finish. The food was amazing and just as memorable as we remembered from our last visit in 2023. The ambiance is one of our favorite parts--it truly delivers a traditional Portuguese vibe that makes the experience feel authentic. We're from Las Vegas, and while vacationing in Orlando, we made it a point to return to Lisbon specifically for genuine Portuguese food, and it did not disappoint. My husband and ine of my sons ordered the octopus and said it was absolutely delicious. The bifanas were perfectly done, and the bacalhau was flavorful and cooked just right. Everything we tried reminded us why we came back. If you're looking for authentic Portuguese cuisine with great service and atmosphere, Lisbon is a must-visit.

Every time we go to Orlando, we try to stop at this restaurant ( we don't have Portuguese restaurants near home). The service is always top notch and the food is fresh and delicious. The decoration is pretty and inviting. Don't forget to eat Pasteis de nata for dessert, so yummy!

Extraordinary service. We had dinner at Domu, and found ourselves looking for a nice dessert option afterwards. The staff were so nice, going as far as to place a tablecloth, even though our order was very small. Lots of smiles, and very warm service. The actual dessert was very tasty as well. It did not feel 100% authentic compared to what we had in Portugal, but there was 25% more filling and the desserts came warm, which was very nice. The ones in Portugal are smaller and crispier. Flakier and less filling. Perhaps this was made for the larger American audience? I would definitely come back!

Been meaning to review this spot for sometime it's my wife and myself's favorite Portuguese restaurant, gorgeous, cozy, and a little taste of home, on entry we were told that it's about a 10 to 15 minute wait, no worries, was sat in 10 minutes immediately approached by the server given menus, cocktail order taken, and drinks served in five minutes, upon delivery the waitress immediately grabbed that appetizer order, Green soup with Chorizo and little neck clams in a white wine garlic sauce, bread was delivered shortly after drinks appetizers arrived in 10 minutes, appetizers wonderful, hot flavorful absolutely delicious! Looking around the dining room I noticed that the restaurant is at 100% capacity and they are busy, but the service has been on point flawless, main courses arrived in 12 to 15 minutes after the appetizers, I had the beef steak Portuguesa and the wife had the pork sandwich with fries. Truth be told while the steak was cooked perfectly it was terribly under seasoned with gristle veins and Fat, just a bad cut of meat, it happens however the experience was great and I highly recommend we had dessert to go because we were on time constraints. The waitress efficiently took care of us and we will be back! check this place out. You won't be disappointed. I have spoken...

A Great afternoon with friends. Lisbon have a great ambiance with good service, the food is good and we love the green wine that is one of the best things that Portugal have to offer. The prices where a little bit high but the quality of the food was the best.

Back in Jersey I ate Portuguese food often, here in Orlando it's harder to find. This restaurant is a hidden gem. The bread wasn't the thick crusty loaves that I'm used to in Portuguese restaurants, but they were chewy and flavorful none the less. The garlic shrimp was good but I would prefer it without the tails. I had the chef's shrimp which was very similar to the garlic shrimp and came with plain white rice and fries. We also had seafood rice which was very much a tomato based paella and they substituted extra shrimp when my husband didn't want squid or octopus. There's a lot of salted codfish on the menu, and my friend tried and enjoyed one of those dishes. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and the waitress was fabulous. We enjoyed our meal, but we're definitely still on the hunt for a paella closer to the ones we are in Jersey.

Amazingly delicious authentic Portuguese cuisine!!! Enjoyed the white sangria! Pastes de Bacalhau/Salted codfish fritters Reminded me of my Mom's! Best compliment! My all time favorite Portuguese dish is Bacalhau Com Natas Oven baked dish consisting of layers of salted codfish, onion, fried potatoes and cream! Delicious with a garlic infusion! Husband enjoyed the octopus special! First time trying Doce da Avó "Grandma's Sweet" Layers of sweet cream, Maria biscuits and an egg yolk creme topping! It was yummy!! Highly recommend! We enjoy eating dinner here every time we are in Orlando!!!

This was the most oddest eating experiences that included NOT eating the food ordered, because it never arrived, food with no food! Maybe this is an Orlando dining while black moment, not sure but this spot was ODD. I had high hopes but those quickly deflated after waiting over an hour with no cooked food served. So,, I walk in at 4;50 and leave at 6:15... no food service provided other than Bread and salad paired with mediocre wine. There were only 4 people, when I arrived, so the kitchen wasn't slammed. I waited patiently thinking it's a Culture thing, well as endless families and parties arrived, they were served full meals, sadly the waitress dropped the ball and she knew it but provided zero explanation or accommodations. So I left, went next door to get that Ramen and was immediately satisfied and served . Can't help some people, when they not ready!

My boyfriend made an online reservation with no issues, and getting seated was easy. Overall, I'd give the food about a 3 out of 5. Nothing was bad, but it felt more like an upscale chain restaurant experience than a standout seafood destination. Around the table we had everything from lobster mac and cheese to oysters and steak, and the consensus was that the food was decent, just not particularly memorable. I'm allergic to dairy so that definitely impacted my ordering abilities. I ordered two appetizers as my meal: the calamari and the pork belly. The calamari was a bit too fishy for my taste, so I found myself mostly picking at it. The pork belly, however, was very good and easily the highlight of my meal. Where Big Fin truly shines is customer service. We had several picky-eater teens in our group, plenty of special requests, and a lot of moving parts. Our server, I believe his name was Nathan, handled everything with patience, and a great attitude throughout the evening. The hostess was equally impressive. We arrived before the rest of our party and had the opportunity to watch her expertly navigate a few situations with what appeared to be some challenging guests. She remained gracious, calm, and welcoming the entire time. John, the manager, also stopped by our table and was wonderful. It's clear that hospitality is a priority here, and every staff member we encountered made us feel genuinely welcome. While the food won't have me rushing back, the exceptional service certainly left a positive impression.

Located in the plaza next to Trader Joe's (convenient and clutch), parking was effortless with ample spaces plus valet. We were immediately greeted by two hosts with genuine, big smiles, which set the tone for the entire evening. We also had the pleasure of meeting the chef, mixologist, and general manager--a personal touch that truly elevated the experience. Our evening was a full-on culinary journey. We enjoyed oysters, shrimp, newly crafted cocktails and bold wines, crab cakes, Hamachi crudo, poached king crabs, halibut, and yes--all of the desserts!!!! Every single one of them. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and somehow better than the last. The oysters were incredibly fresh, the fish was flawless, and the balance of flavors throughout the meal was spot on. There is a chef-tasting menu--which we didn't experience this time--but after this meal, it's absolutely happening on our next visit. The night ended with a tableside dessert presentation from the chef, which was such a memorable and elevated final touch. Incredible service, exceptional food, and an atmosphere that encourages great conversation and even better memories. I cannot wait to go back. Classic hospitality, modern execution, and a menu that delivers every single time. Love the experience fellow FIU alumni, Javier provided!!!!

From the beginning, our waiter seemed visibly annoyed with us. Each drink we ordered felt like an inconvenience to him, and it was consistently difficult to get his attention. We actually would have ordered more drinks, but he rarely came back to check on us and never offered refills. His overall disinterest made it uncomfortable to even try to flag him down. It was awkward because we literally watched him sit and chat with fellow employees at the bar. Our food also took quite a while to arrive and, when it did, it was only room temperature. We were even missing an item from our order. When we mentioned it, there was no apology -- we were simply told it would be removed from the bill. Our waiter was literally mid "walk-away" while telling us this-- we were looking at his back trying to hear what he was saying. It was beyond rude. It's disappointing because the ambience had so much potential, but the overall experience left us feeling unwelcome and underwhelmed.

Throughout the evening, our server was helpful and engaging, and started us off with some bread for the table. It seemed fresh baked with a crisp crust and wonderfully soft in the middle. For our entrées, we had the Chilean Sea Bass, which absolutely melted in our mouths, and the 10oz center-cut filet, which was perfectly cooked to order with no fat or tendons -- just pure quality. You can tell they take pride in what comes out of that kitchen. They finished our meal by bringing out a special plate for my mom with a trio of strawberry sorbet, a chocolate cookie, and banana foster. Two different types of crab, a bunch of crawfish, and a lot of other good accessories like the corn, potatoes, and Andouille. The seasoning was heavy, it wasn't too buttery, and the seafood wasn't overcooked or anything. On top of that, tip was already auto grat, which I didn't think was what I would have tipped. If there were 2-3 servers, no problem, but all that tip going to one person when service drastically slowed? Horrendous. Management, fix your staffing issues! At least stop seating people when the place is full and you know you do not have the capacity to serve all these folks. Everyone in the restaurant was trying to be patient but there was a lot of angst all around, plus the server seemed to have a bit of a spiff with the manager / owner that came out to drop off food (which also didn't give for good vibes when you're eating). It felt like they were one step away from a shouting match. Besides that, the Bite 30 menu was a great deal. Apps were solid, as were mains. Dessert wasn't great though. But still a solid deal to get some crab plus extras in, and is a good way to sample their offerings.

I really wanted to like this place but it was a swing and a miss. Parking was easy during the Saturday afternoon we visited. On busier occasions, they do offer valet parking. Nearby businesses share parking so if it's a peak time, you may have to walk a little to the door. Not a long wait before we were seated. Spacious with tables and booth seating. There is a bar and televisions here. Our hostess was nice and offered insight into the menu. For the appetizers, we started with oysters Rockefeller, and fried gator tail. It's a red flag when places smother items in a sauce instead of letting it stand on it's own. No complaints on the oysters and the gator tail was given previously frozen vibes. For the entree, I got the shrimp po' boy. The bread was hearty and held onto the six lil shrimp that they felt were enough. When the ratio of shrimp, bread and topping aren't portioned right, you end up with gaps of the flavor when you're eating. What sent me is the shrimp weren't properly deveined. If you took a biology class, you know that black line running along the back is the shrimp's waste system. I'm not eating that. The hostess saw me just sitting there looking at my food and asked if I wanted something different. Hard pass. Even the waffle fries were bad. They weren't piping hot and dried out inside. I made due with the sweet tea which they did well with. The manager came by and offered to remake or replace my meal. I appreciate his efforts but I didn't want anything at that point. The bathrooms were clean. Nice enough people but the kitchen didn't get it right.
