My wife and I have visited not only several wine tasting events in the past but Litchfield's Restaurant numerous times in the past year. I wanted to reach out and let someone know of our experience last evening 12/8/23. Upon arrival at 7:45pm to our reservation we were greeted by the Hostess who offered to set us in the restaurant. I heard the live music in the bar area and asked that we be seated in that area. Without hesitation she obliged and immediately sat us. Our waitress came and introduced herself within minutes. She was extremely friendly and attentive to our needs. She left after giving us the menus and wine list to return within an expected time. We weren't ready to order so I asked to have a couple more minutes to decide. Again, she obliged and we proceeded to look over the menu. I would like to preface the following with the fact that there were several Christman parties and she was extremely busy. Not to mention the was a an over the top intoxicated individual that the Manager asked a couple times to settle down. So we understand her being busy however, I am in the customer service business as well. Unfortunately, another 15 minutes passed and I had to tell the waitress we were ready to order. Upon coming to our table she apologized for forgetting us. We proceeded to order cocktails, an appetizer (butter flight) and entrees. My wife and I drank our cocktails and within another ten minutes the Manager arrived at our table and apologized for what I thought was the lack of attentiveness but it could have been for the intoxicated party. I am still not sure. My wife and I then continued our evening. Our waitress returned within an expected time frame and asked if we'd like another cocktail. My wife declined and I ordered another. I never received my drink UNTIL the Manager again came to the table, apologized and asked if I wanted another drink. She went back and informed our waitress to get my cocktail. Our waitress returned with my drink and I asked about the appetizer which still hadn't arrived. She apologized and stated she would check. When she went to check, the runner arrived a few minutes with our entrees. We proceeded to eat our dinner. Our waitress then returned with the appetizer that I understandably declined. She again, apologized. Lastly, I asked for our check- the waitress asked to pay for our dessert, I declined- the manager then came over, apologized and asked to pay for our dessert I declined. I was then given 10% off our bill per the waitress. When we left the hostess while walking out apologized again. In thinking the evening through with my wife I legitimately believe we were apologized to 7 times.I dont want dessert, I dont want 10%. I would have liked someone to have responded to this exact email that I sent in twice!!!! read more

Litchfield's has completely changed from what we were recommended. We went with clientele that has been there no less than 4 times. They were shocked! Each entree is just that, no sides included as they used to be. A filet is $58 on its own. I had the hangar steak at $38.00 which had to be sent back because it was so rare. A ramekin size of Gouda Mac and cheese was $18. Craft cocktail menu went from at least 10 to 5. They are completely resort priced now. What about your summer clientele that are here year round? Restaurant is so dark, you'll need your cell phone camera to see food and bill. The bar looks like it may be good food and the ambience looks good too for that area. if you are looking for a great meal and amazing setting, look to Tempo on main in Verrado to be honest! read more

I didn't get many pictures as my guest an i were starving. I stayed at the resort for three days and saw some good reviews for this place. Veterans Day was the day I went and took a friend who had just gotten back from deployment that day! We waited about 20 minutes for an outdoor table. They suggested us to wait at the bar area however the bartender never served us... she kind of ignored us actually. I think it's because she didn't want to start a ticket with her and then us get the table. We finally got seated and RIVER was our server. He was polite and informative. I got the linguine with shrimp and my guest got the salmon with a substitute for the corn, and got the Gouda Mac and cheese. The food took about 35 minutes to come out. We ordered some wine and cocktails which were tasty. The food finally came out and my dish came with 3 shrimp... pretty big, however I felt maybe they could have added 2 more for the amount of pasta. My guest enjoyed his salmon. All in all it was a good but I'd probably never go back if maybe one more try...it was ok food that was marked up. read more

I went to this establishment a week or so ago and told myself I wasn't going to write a review; even though I sought out a highly rated, very nice and classy restaurant to review I really did not want to write about it I was so ashamed by how much I spent verses the experience I had. I walked in wearing Jean's and and a dinner jacket was was practically ignored due to not being in a full suit. Once I was acknowledged I seemed to be a burden to be seated. The atmosphere felt like an "old money" club house but very rushed and kind of noisey. To drink I had a Wigwam Ale which was a very tasty brew. I would compare it to a Kilt Lifter in flavor. I was then brought out a serving of bread and butter which was good; soft fluffy bread, nicely seasoned butter and crispy crust. For my main course I went with the Arizona Filet Mignon it was perfectly cooked (medium rare) and had pretty good flavor... was it a $42 amount of flavor though? I don't think I could ever justify getting it a second time. It was good don't get me wrong... but I could do it exactly the same myself for half the price. ALSO it took a whopping 55 minutes to get my food; that was incredibly annoying due to the restaurant not being that filled or very busy. It was served with a side of beans which were nicely cooked and had pleasant flavor. To finish it off I went with a slice of cheesecake which was a suggestion by one of the servers (there wasn't just one that took care of me and I couldn't catch all of their names) and let me say, it was the absolute best part of the meal. Perfectly soft, very creamy, I cannot accurately describe how fantastic it was. Some of the servers seemed in agony to be there and some seemed like they were happy to be there. I would go back and get the cheesecake and the beer but not the steak. The 3/5 stars is basically due to the negative experience and atmosphere mixed with the very overpriced for what you're getting steak. read more

Omg where do I begin. I was celebrating a solo birthday for myself and enjoyed every bit of it. The server I had was not only beautiful but she was just so sweet and very tentative. My drinks were served quickly and so did my dinner. The food was omg so good. I order the sirloin steak which I love well done was just so tasty. I'm not even sure where to begin, we flew in from Chicago to surprise my girlfriends mom for her birthday and we're trying to pull a fast one so that she wouldn't know we were there. We pulled in to the valet and weren't quite sure how to get to the restaurant so we asked an employee and she said "sure let me show you" and literally walked us the entire way through the resort to the restaurant. We then told the hostess that we wanted to change the reservation I had made under my name to hers so that it would seem like her dad had made the reservations and she wouldn't suspect anything. Totally accommodated us, hid us out on the back porch, seated her parents and came out to get us and took us to the table. Mom was so surprised she started crying! The service at this place is so on point, from the busboy to the hostess to Cindy our waitress all FANTASTIC! And let me talk for a second about the food, every. Single.thing.we.had was perfect, drinks were super, appetizers were off the chart the calamari is soooo good, and the chartreuse board was excellent. For our mains we had short ribs, sea bass, scallops and salmon...I can honestly say that this place ranks in my top five, and I'm a total restaurant snob. I live in the west valley and have been wanting to try out Litchfield's for a while. The ambience of the restaurant was beautiful. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable and our dinner arrived out quickly. I had the scallops, which I really enjoyed. The complimentary bread that they serve was delicious and warm. The only thing that we had that I wasn't crazy about was the mussels appetizer that my husband and I shared. They were just okay, but not great. However, overall this is a great place to dine out for a nice dinner or special occasion. I would definitely return in the future. read more

We just recently had our son's and now daughter-in-laws rehearsal dinner at Litchfield's at the Wigwam. We made this reservation back in the Spring for 30 guests but as we all know things change, as did the GM. I received an email a month or so ago from the new GM, Audrey and I couldn't be more pleased. Audrey and her team were amazing to say the least. We met with Audrey just a few short weeks before the planned dinner and discussed the vision that our daughter-in-law had for the event. We had chosen the outside patio area that would now serve 23 guests. Fast forward to the night of the event, of course Arizona weather decided not to be done with the monsoon season and our now outdoor event needed to be moved indoors. Audrey and her team moved everything to the inside space we had discussed a couple weeks prior and they did so flawlessly. Our entire party of 20+ was wowed by the amazing service, food quality and ambiance. We couldn't be more please with our experience, thanks to Audrey and here team! Allegeini red wine was the least expensive per glass on the menu $9 per 5oz . I'd say it was worth every cent. My husband ate the Arizona filet mignon. It was a fantastic cut of meat but it was undercooked when asked for medium it was more like rare. I had the fettuccine pasta with tomato olive and spinach it was simple healthy and delicious! All the questions we had reference menu items, wines, and salads were answered and suggestions were given based on our preferences. After placing our order we brought a nice half boule of warm bread, which was delicious. The food at Litchfields is all fresh, organic and locally sourced to the greatest extent possible. I ordered the Filet and my dinner companion had the the New York Strip. Both entrées were very generous cuts. The meat was very tender, flavorful, and rivaled those served at any high-end steak house. You can chose from a half dozen side dishes (carrots, asparagus, heirloom potatoes) to accompany your steak. I've been curious about Litchfield's for ages, but due to the cost, I never would have tried it without a Living Social deal. Now I can say we visited, though we're not likely to return. The grounds of the Wigwam are quite lovely. Unfortunately, we saw more of them than intended because we had a terrible time finding the restaurant on the resort grounds. We had to ask several employees for help until we found our way through the labyrinth. I half-expected to encounter a minotaur or David Bowie. The ambiance of the restaurant was extraordinary. We sat by the doorway and overlooked a lawn where they were setting up for an event. The weather was perfect. The attentiveness of the staff was impressive. Our water glasses were kept full and we were regularly asked if we wanted more bread or if we needed anything else. The bread basket was delicious. I'm a bread snob and a home baker, and this was very good bread. To start, my husband ordered the Caesar salad while I had the house salad. My salad was good, though not extraordinary; I can make similar at home. My main course was the Scottish salmon with pumpkin risotto and Brussels sprouts. It was very good, though there were very few Brussels sprouts; I was glad I had the salad for more vegetables. The pumpkin risotto was a delight--perfect pumpkin flavor without being overwhelming. The cut of fish was good. My husband had the ribeye. He enjoyed it, though he didn't hesitate to say that the steak at Fleming's is far better. Fleming's has set an awfully high bar there. I had one of their signature cocktails, the Litchfield Lights. It was good--spiked pineapple juice. We didn't partake of dessert. The selections didn't interest us. It was a pleasant enough place, but I've had better food for a much cheaper price. If I wanted good farm-to-table cuisine I'd be more likely to visit a place like Palette at the Phoenix Art Museum. read more

Great upscale option in the West Valley Took a coworker to Litchfield's for a working dinner and to celebrate a project well done. We had heard that Colangelo and his partners bought the Wigwam and had made some drastic improvements, including to the main dining option. Tip: You can park inside the gate and don't have to be a guest or member. I parked outside and had to walk... apparently, just because I felt like being foolish. Was impressed with the food quality and flavor. They have an appealing menu for American ranch fare. The steaks we had were cooked perfectly and flavorful without being over-seasoned. Sides were good and the interior design of the restaurant was quiet and comfortable. Dessert options were standard fare. Overall, there is nothing novel in terms of food and dishes, and what they serve is executed very well. Service staff is par for the course. Very nice, yet a clear step away from top tier. Attentive enough though, and you aren't left to wait too long between courses and paying for thing when ready to wrap up. read more

We came here for dinner on a weekend evening, so it was not surprising that there was a wait for a regular dining room table. We were asked if we wanted to sit in the bar where there was no wait and still have the full menu available, and we decided to go with that. My only grouse with the bar area is it was very dimly lit so that we needed the light of our mobile devices to read the menu. Other than that, everything was excellent: the decor, the service, the quality of the food (the pork belly nachos we had as appetizer was by itself already worth the drive to the Wigwam), and the music provided by a wonderful pianist. read more

I really wanted to like this place. The Wigwam Resort has a long history, and it should have a great restaurant. Unfortunately, they stumbled with the service and the food. The atmosphere is nice, but it is so darned loud!! Difficult to have a conversation here. We liked the open kitchen and the mission style ceilings. The service started off okay, and our waiter seemed attentive. The bread was delicious--warm sourdough minis with good butter. However, it took our waiter and his manager about 15 minutes to find the wine that we ordered. The appetizers came out quickly, but then there was a huge lag waiting for our main courses....like a half hour. My wife had the butternut squash soup with a mole sauce, which was really good. The two main courses that we tried were the sea bass and the chicken. The sea bass was good, but the accompanying veggies were just okay. The chicken was completely overcooked and the butternut squash gnocchi were gummy and disgusting. Because the food took so much time to come out, we opted to skip dessert, which I rarely do. But the options were so boring: chocolate cake, blah, blah, blah. The manager did knock a few bucks off our bill given the issues that we had with the food and slowness of the kitchen. We just got home from an incredibly delicious meal here. The first thing you notice when walking through the door is the smell from the mesquite grill. When we arrived at the Wig Wam Resort, I wasn't sure what I was leaning towards having, but after I got a whiff of that aroma, I knew I was having a steak. The restaurant was bright and nicely decorated. The tables weren't on top of each other, which gives you a sense of space. We were seated at a table by the window, and had a lovely view of the fountain. Our waitress, Holly, was very friendly and answered any questions we had about the menu. The menu isn't large, but has something for everyone. My husband and I usually tend to choose similarly, and tonight was no different. We both had the caesar salad and filet mignon. The salads were wonderful, and we were trying to get every last bite off the plate. I liked that the dressing was under the salad (I've never seen that before), and actually really enjoyed it that way. We both ordered our filets medium, mine butterflied, and they were grilled to perfection. There was a demi-glaze that was the perfect balance for the meat. My husband got sides of potatoes and the gouda mac n' cheese. He couldn't get enough of them and was practically licking the plate. I had sides of baby carrots and green beans with cheddar melted over them. They were both delicious! We decided to splurge and have dessert. My husband got a prickly pear creme brulee, and I had a warm peach and pecan cobbler with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream melting over it. Do I need to tell you how delicious they both were?? Went to Litchfield's this past weekend with some out of town guests. The food was very good. I had the pork cheeks and they were OUTSTANDING. Very tender and flavorful. My wife had the filet and it was also very good. The bartender was excellent and very knowledgeable about spirits, particularly bourbon. He was wonderful. Our waitress was very nice. This review could easily have been 4.5 to 5 stars if weren't for the cadence of the meal and the lack of attention to detail. We had basically a salad/soup, entree and a dessert but we were there almost 2.5 hours. It was an uncomfortable wait between each course - probably 25 minutes each time. The restaurant wasn't very crowded so I am not sure why we had these long waits between. Last time I was here the cadence was excellent. In addition, their attention to detail was lacking. For example, my wife ordered the soup but it was delivered with no spoon. After waiting about 5 minutes, I went inside to track down a spoon. Also, they got one of the entrees wrong and had to remake it. The waitstaff was very apologetic, which we appreciated, but we were all done with our food by the time the new dish was delivered. I was just a little embarrassed to take our guests out for dinner and have the glitches we experienced. Litchfield's portrays themselves as a higher end restaurant and with that the expectations to deliver on those types of details goes up. As I said, the food and atmosphere were top notch and if the execution and attention to detail is better, this is a 4.5 star place for sure. read more

I didn't see that coming. I never have been to an upscale resort/hotel that had a restaurant that was ever worth the money and have always left disappointed. Not only did my family not leave disappointed, but we left very impressed. My family and I stopped by for dinner at Litchfield's. The setting is awesome. Very relaxed, comfortable, and a perfect place for a future romantic dining experience. The service was great. We never had a glass that was not full or bread that was not available. Now for the meal, everything was great. We started with their cheese board and spinach dumplings. The board was loaded with items, almost more than we could eat. Almost. The dumplings were good and the tomato jam that came with the dish was tasty. For our entrees, we had the sea bass, ribeye, and scallops. All were wonderful. The sea bass was mild tasting but very flavorful. The ribeye was wonderful and for only $40, a real bargain for how good it was. Last but not least the scallops were awesome. So many places offer scallops and risotto and every time the dish is so average. Not the case with their scallop and risotto. It was full of so much great flavor and one I would order again. For dessert, we had the panna cotta and I believe the chocolate torte. Both were so dang good. The panna cotta was was smooth and had so many different textures. Same can be said for the torte and was so sweet, which I prefer. If I was forced to pick one, the panna cotta was the winner. Overall, we had just an amazing dining experience and so glad we stopped by. If I could make one complaint, I ordered a Moscow mule, which was great. Sadly though, it was not served in the traditional copper mug. I hate that. The mug really does serve a purpose, or at least it does probably more so in my mind but dang it, I love the mug. Anyhow, just an awesome dining experience at Litchfield's and will go back again. They may just change my mind on how I view resort restaurants. read more

We have 2 very favorite west valley fine dining spots and decided to try Litchfields hoping to add another to the list. The ambiance was excellent and after watching the beautiful extra thick 10 ounce filet's delivered to other diners were really looking forward to a similar experience. Unfortunately our dinners (delivered by a supervisor) arrived lukewarm and the steak was half the thickness and size of others. I questioned it and was told it was the right size.....sorry, no way. We still tipped server Coleen over 20% bc she was great. There is simply no excuse for serving cool food at a fine dining steakhouse when others serve them on very hot plates.
