Before heading over for lunch around 2pm on a Saturday, I called and ordered 2 slices of grandma pepperoni slices since the grandma slices do run out. The grandma pepperoni slices, bomb pepperoni and cheese. The dough is more on the soft and doughy side. The slices are huge and definitely will fill you up. The hot honey is a great add on if you like a little heat and sweet.

We've eaten here often and used to always order their limited special pizzas. Lately we've been coming here for just a slice here and there. A slice of pizza is pretty big. If you come in the afternoon, they may no longer have them available. The employees have all been nice every single time I've had an interaction with them. I watch them interact with other customers and they keep that same energy with all of them. There's plenty of seating outdoors. I can't recall if there's indoor seating.

Meat Lovers pizza with pineapple substituted for bacon - yes, I know NY pizza places would shame me for the pineapple, but we're in CA.

My son lived in New York for 4 years where scrumptious pizza is everywhere. We have had pizza from Little Coyote several times. It is consistently tasty. The pizzas are made to order from scratch, and can take a little bit of time. But it's definitely worth the wait. The red sauce is flavorful, and the toppings are always fresh. Not quite NY pizza, but close. My one wish is that they would put cornmeal on the bottom of the crust. Some of the less favorable reviews mention excessive wait times, which can happen during peak lunch and dinner hours. This, however, is not unique to little Coyote. It happens commonly in the restaurant business. I have also picked up an order when less than friendly employees are there. For the most part, though employees are courteous. Price point is a little high for a pie. Given the freshness of the ingredients and the tastiness of their offerings, I would rather spend extra than get the cardboard style type of pizza chain offer.

Little Coyote has grown into being a staple of the long beach community and it's because of its consistent pizza quality and ingredients. I mean look at this white pie, delicious! So the question is wether you should pay $24 for a whole pie, the short answer is absolutely yes. Why? Because this pizza is very filling and the ingredients are the reason. From fresh cheese to veggies, to the meats. They all come together really well. I will say, if you are planning on eating here, parking can be a bit rough. It can be very hard during evening hours as other businesses get busy. Highly recommend ordering ahead! Overall 5/5! Great food

I pass by this place all the time! My family and I were craving pizza, so we made the decision to try this place. They do have another location, but this location has private parking up close vs street parking When we walked in it's just a small little area to order. We were immediately greeted by Elizabeth, who was so helpful and friendly. She made a few suggestions and then said no pressure and to take our time. She also gave us paper menus to look at instead of us looking at the menu on the wall. The paper menus also have the lunch specials, daily specials and etc on them. We came on a Wednesday, which I believe was a pizza and wine special. We couldn't decide on if we wanted a white pizza or regular. So Elizabeth suggested us trying their pink sauce (which is a mix between both) so we ordered half pepperoni with pink sauce and their signature white pie, but with pink sauce as well. Elizabeth then pointed us in the direction of their patio. They only have patio dining. It was cold outside, and without asking, Elizabeth said she would turn on the patio heaters for us They have canned drinks (we got diet cokes) but Elizabeth also brought out a big glass pitcher of water for us which was really thoughtful They have a bunch of paper plates, napkins, utensils and etc at little stations where you can grab them yourself. But of course, Elizabeth went above and beyond and said she would bring everything to us I think the large pizza took around 15 -20 minutes until it was ready. We also ordered a few sides of ranch (which is homemade and delicious. Has a great dill flavor) It came out in a to go box which made it easy for us when we left. We didn't have to ask anyone to bring us a box This pizza was absolutely gorgeous. I wanted to cry at how absolutely beautiful this pizza was. And it tasted just as good as it looked I will admit, it's hard finding good pizza in Southern California, but this is some of the best pizza in town. They did not skimp on the pepperoni and the white pie side (with pink sauce) was absolutely delicious. All that cheese! The crust was some of the best I ever had The menu isn't huge, I usually like a bunch of appetizers / sides with my pizza. But I will 100 percent be back. I haven't been able to stop thinking about this place and how delicious the pizza is Another bonus, they say they are dog friendly on the patio As for alcohol, they have beer and wine

I've had Little Coyote from this location (only as takeout) a handful of times but finally getting around to leaving a review as I was able to try one of their weekend special flavors. Love that every weekend they do a unique pizza: as a garlic-and-clam lover, their twist on this type of pizza just made it so I HAD to come this time around. This parking lot can be crowded if there's a lot going on but otherwise you should have no trouble finding parking in the neighborhood or in the plaza. My favorite part is that it's not hard or annoying to drive to this location at all (as most of non-downtown LBC is like). I still hold onto my previous notion that Little Coyote makes one of the best thin-crust, NYC-style slices in Long Beach; the online ordering makes it easy to pick up and take home. All the toppings were well balanced and the dough has a great texture. The pies can be a bit on the pricier side from what you might expect but they are quite big; with the rising cost of chain pizza places, the price is actually pretty good here. Definitely consider Little Coyote next time you're craving a legit slice! They have by-the-slice pieces as well, including single square orders of cheese or pepperoni.

Picked up a couple of pizzas, a sub, and an antipasto salad from here about a week ago. We got the Meat Lovers pizza that tasted great and was loaded with pepperoni, sausage, and bacon. We also got the White pizza with spinach, ricotta, Calabrian chili, and we added sausage. It was great with just a little heat from the chili. Would definitely order it again. The Italiano sub was another good choice that everyone enjoyed. The antipasto salad was ok but I think next time we will get the Caesar. We ordered ahead so our order was almost ready when we got there. All the seating is outside and limited but it seems like they do a lot of take out business. The girl on the phone who took my order was friendly and was right about the estimate of 25-30 minutes.

Great seating, great cider

Great food, great service, great ambiance. The pizza is to die for and the location is central to everything. Definitely coming back!

I'm back in town for business and was craving a white pizza. I randomly chose Little Coyote because they had Gluten Free crust available and their white pizza sounded good. Boy am I glad I chose it! I'm sad I couldn't save more of it but I didn't have the space in my hotel. The delivery was quick and o.m.g. it was one of the best white pizzas I've had in a long time. I had the gluten free crust and it did not disappoint. I loved how much ricotta was on it because other restaurants skimp out on this. Not them! I will definitely be adding this to my rotation the next time I'm in town.

This place is pretty my favorite local pizza shop. They have great flavors and their crust is amazingly textured, with a great balance of crispy and chewy. They have a weekly rotation of a unique flavor that you can find out about if you subscribe via email. It is a little pricier but that's usually the case for fancier, tastier pizza. There's dine in but I usually do takeout via phone call or website order. You can also get loyalty points guys the toast app. I have read that sometimes the orders take longer than quoted but that hasn't been the case for me yet. The staff is friendly and there's a parking lot. Would recommend!

Little Coyote - Los Coyotes Diagonal, Long Beach I'm a total pizza fanatic and always on the hunt for the best slice or pie -- and Little Coyote, LBC (Los Coyotes location) is easily in my Top 5. So lucky they're local! Not only is the pizza incredible, but the sandwiches are next level. My go-to is the Italian Sub -- loaded with quality Italian deli meats, fresh lettuce, and that tangy Italian dressing that brings it all together perfectly. As for the pizza, we keep coming back for the White Pizza, Queen Margherita, and Papa Joe's -- all phenomenal. Recently tried the Garden Pesto Pizza on keto dough and was blown away by how good it was. They truly deliver every time. They also have a solid selection of beer and wine, plus plenty of outdoor seating, which makes it a great hangout spot. The vibe is laid-back, and the staff is always friendly and efficient. Shoutout to Julie and the BOH staff -- they're the BEST. You can tell they care about what they're doing, and it shows in every bite. If you haven't been to this location yet, get on it.

The owners have changed and the pizza shows, along with poor customer service. This will no longer be my go to pizza for Long Beach. The quality of food has declined.

Ask the Community - Little Coyote

Do they have gluten free option? Tried calling and there's no option to speak to a real person.?

They don't

Do they serve alcohol?

Yes

I usually go to the 4th street location but I have a group tomorrow or 10 people. Will it be easier for us to be seated together at this location?

They do have a small nice outdoor patio and a huge parking lot but since it's Mothers Day it may be busy. I would go super early before they open.

We parked at a garage at the City Place Shopping Center a block away that has free parking for the first two hours, so it's definitely worth it. There's also some street parking if you can find it, but keep it simple and park at the garage so you're not worrying about time. I've been told that they check parking at the Burger King next door, so don't park there. The 4th Horseman is located off of 4th St & Solana Ct. It's a 21 and over bar, so absolutely no kids allowed (completely heavenly to get away from screaming brats for a while). There's a small stage in front for when they have bands, trivia nights, comedy shows, movie nights, etc. There's bar seating and plenty of tables all throughout the joint, so if you don't readily find a spot to squat keep on walking and you'll find something. It's a full bar, so they have whatever's your poison. For food there's pizza (by the slice or full pies), calzone, salad, brussels sprouts, and sourdough knots. We kept it simple and had the Slasher Pizza (pepperoni) with a Basic Salad. We sat in the back past the bar, which is where they have a pool table and a bunch of arcades to kill some time. There's a self-serve water station, but if you need anything else just go to the bar and they'll be more than happy to help you out. The pizza and salad were pretty good! If you're more health-conscious, they have a lot of vegan options to choose from. If you don't care about that, the pizza slices are huge and have the perfect amount of grease while you're pounding drinks! Honestly, I'm a big fan of The 4th Horseman! Growing up a metalhead, the music and atmosphere are nice and cozy for me. The employees were all really nice, which is always a big plus when trying something new. My only regret was not grabbing some of their merch on my way out, but next time we make the trip I definitely will!

We'd be happy to come down again in traffic, because it's absolutely worth the drive here. Some find the pizza sizes small or the prices high in comparison to your average pizza joint - but your average, everyday pizza place in California is just...ew. Their crust is very thin, Neapolitan style in a brick oven, beautiful and a little chewy, slightly-charred from the brick oven. Amazing texture. Traditionalists, so we just got the Margherita and Bianco, adding some mushrooms and a drizzle of truffle. SOO good. We also tried the fried zucchini blossoms, which were very light and not oily at all. Caesar salad was very delicious and fresh, also had the octopus, which was perfectly grilled and like eating steak. To finish, we had some amazing coffee with tiramisu. Wow. Not usually a fan, but their tiramisu was super light, not overly sweet, and super good. Thanks to our wonderful server, Diana ! Super friendly and everything came out quickly. We were sitting right at the front and you couldn't miss us. They asked us a few times what our name for the order was and we told them the same thing every time. Finally after about 10 min they asked us for the 3rd time what our name was and then walked away. Overall, it was solid--sauce had good flavor, cheese was decent, and the dough was nice. Nothing mind-blowing, but definitely a respectable slice. My only issue was the balance--there was a bit too much cheese for the crust, so even folding it New York-style, it didn't hold up well and kind of fell apart. A little more crisp on the bottom would've made a big difference. I also tried their Sicilian grandma-style focaccia pizza, and honestly, that was a huge letdown. It had this dusty, raw flour taste right away, was dry and spongy, and way overpowered with Parmesan. It just didn't come together at all--pretty disappointing, especially for the price. I've had frozen pizza that tasted better. Ended up just picking at the cheese to salvage something.
