    Undercooked Marguerite pizza
    Jason G.

My family and I had a really disappointing experience here, easily one of the worst meals we've had in years. For a place called "Little Dom's Seafood," the menu barely offers any seafood at all; no clams, no crab, no lobster. Just one fish option, oysters, and maybe a shrimp dish. The rest is pizza, salad, and pasta, which felt misleading. The only thing we enjoyed was my youngest's spaghetti and meatballs. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauce was great, and the meatballs were genuinely delicious. Everything else missed the mark: * The fish crudo was so heavily seasoned and oily that you couldn't taste the fish. * The margherita pizza was undercooked. * The fish sandwich was drowning in sauce, and the brioche bun was soggy and greasy. * Even the Diet Coke tasted watered‑down and off. Service didn't help. We waited far too long despite the dining room being mostly empty. We were told they were "really busy," but there were plenty of open tables. For $165, the value just wasn't there. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was a genuinely poor experience from start to finish, and I wouldn't return. Oh wait the bathroom was exceptionally clean and well equipped that was a great experience and the restaurant looks great and has very comfortable tables and seats

Great service and food! I came here with three friends for a late lunch on Sunday and we had such a fabulous time! Our server was very sweet and informative about the menu. My fried chicken sandwich was delicious! The chicken was crispy on the outside and perfect on the inside. I was fearful of it being overcooked and difficult to eat but this was not the case. My side arugula salad was simple and fresh. The side of potatoes was delicious and the star of the show! I would highly recommend this dish as an appetizer or to share with others. My friends enjoyed their meals as well. The bathroom was clean and which i appreciated.

Wood fired Ling COD and the Crab Pappardelle Pasta! Outstanding.

Charming little spot on Carpinteria main drag. Thank you Emily for the great service along with your super team! Loved the wood fired COD and my Morro Bay oysters were outstanding. Only suggestion would be a slice of garlic toast to compliment the Crab pasta dish! We had the Fish Picatta 2 nights later!

First time here and the staff was exceptional. The previous reviews on the Uni and Eggs looked marvelous and I was looking forward to exactly what was pictured, it was disappointing. Although it tasted good, it didn't look appealing and frankly, sad with withered greens. I ordered the potatoes and those were perfectly crunchy, garlicky and finished with a zing. I also had the chocolate cake. It was flat and lacked flavor...reminds me of microwaved cake in a cup. It came with a nugget of vanilla ice cream, pine nuts, pinch of salt and a drizzle of olive oil. That was the only good part.

Took my wife out for Valentine's Day. Not your typical seafood restaurant, but it was definitely a unique experience we both enjoyed. Menu options had an Italian bend to it which I enjoyed. Arrabbiata sauce is very good, and I'm glad that it came with the calamari. Highly recommend that along with the rice balls. Not a lot of seafood entree options, but my wife went with the fish piccata (the night we went it was halibut). I went with the cavatelli ricotta. Both were delicious but especially the fish piccata. No complaints, service was great, and the food was good all around. Definitely a gem and jealous of the locals who are able to stop in more often.

Why would you not put a sign up on your location? Not smart.. Bar is old school and worth the visit on its own.

Market fish piccata, Cacio E Pepe Tonnarelli, Cast Iron Seared Fish Sandwich
    Ana F.

Over all really enjoyed the food quality. The pasta was cheesy, the market piccata fish was buttery and melted in your mouth. The only thing I wish it had was a bit more lemon. For a piccata dish there was not enough on it. The pasta paired delicious with it as they only serve it with asparagus. The pizza was light and crunchy, the sauce was on point my bf also got the fish sandwich and very much enjoyed it. I can't say much about it because I stuffed my face with everything else lol. The server was very friendly and sweet

Chunk of beef fat and Risotto soup.

If you want a clump of beef fat and tasteless risotto, then Little Dom's is the place for you. Just order the Brisket and Risotto! As you can see by the photo the "Brisket" is over 80% beef fat... the soup, which they call Risotto was runny and liquid...There are more and more options in Carp now, don't give Little Dom's your business... take this advice from a local!

We dropped in here one Thursday afternoon for lunch. The tables outdoors were full so we went inside to an almost empty (4 people) large dining area. We were greeted by loud awful music, we didn't recognize a single track. Our order was Cast Iron seared fish sandwich and fried chicken sandwich. The seared fish was fine the fried chicken however was awful. When they say fried they mean deep fried. It came out dripping in grease. This was adorned with decomposing lettuce leaves. The small single glass of water we received was never replenished. However, Its nice to see staff just hanging out. Will we return No! If you go, avoid the fried chicken, it repeated on me all day and into most of the night.

Our seafood dish. The asparagus was very good, fish was overcooked

There is a table right at the window so you can enjoy dining/reading/sitting with an incredible and private VIEW! This time we got the only accommodation that has TWO rooms-- so it felt like a small apartment without a kitchen! It's extra spacious and allowed everyone to have their privacy. The rooms are SUPER cute! Yes, the furniture is old. Yes, it looks like grandma's house. But from someone who has stayed in luxury resorts most of the time, these charming and timeless rooms have a special place in my heart. I'm not even sure if this makes sense, but the ambiance welcomes you with open arms and makes you feel right at home. It truly feels like I came to grandmas house. It feels so familiar and I know for a fact, staying here is healing my inner child each time. We all know the views are absolutely incredible-- I mean... breakfast buffet overlooking the cliffs AND you can watch surfers and dolphins in the distance while you enjoy your food? Can't get better than that. You can go visit the shore during low tide or walk over to the pier that leads to an island! This hotel is tucked away from the city and I absolutely love the seclusion. Although it's right next to the highway, staying here feels like stepping into a peaceful parallel universe-- the world still moves on the other side of the wall, but you're suspended in your own quiet, dreamlike bubble until it's time to return to reality. The service is too notch! She has gone out of her way to accommodate us and never made any request feel like it was too much or an inconvenience. My parents are older and get cold easily, so we sat next to the fire pit. It turns off suddenly and we request it to please be turned back on as it's overcast and barely noon, and a waitress who hasn't been near us in 20 minutes says she smelled gas just now and had to turn it off. Translation: cheap management saw the sun coming out and wanted to save money. There was no gas smell. So classless. Even when we mentioned it again and asked, the glazed-eyes looking girl gave a slight remix of her "unfortunately umm due to me umm smelling gas umm we are not able to turn it back onnnnn." Is everyone who works here on meds or something? Coffee was terrible and watered-down, and simple premade sandwiches took 20 minutes to heat in a panini press and bring out. Food was very mediocre and my "poached" egg was basically hard boiled. The food tastes much better when you order online, probably because they actually know you have a set time limit to pick it up so they make it fresh and with effort. They just dgaf if you're seated, I guess. Just go to Lucky Llama guys.

I had the relleno omelette, wasn't the worst but my obriens were extra and were hella burnt, didn't really have any soft potatoes to eat. Sister said scramble wasn't great either, underwhelming flavor. My homemade jam looked weird and like it was frozen previously maybe; like chunky and watery not like picture on Yelp. Coffee was bitter. Charged us for using CC, which I feel like it's a business cost, shouldn't be customers (personal opinion across the board). And then an added a 20% gratuity for 6 ppl. Pretty high percent to assume it's deserving. Maybe 15-18% with the option to leave extra is more appropriate. Would've had it removed but family was ready to go and over it. Wouldn't have stiffed her of course, she was very kind and friendly. Just not quite a 20% auto gratuity experience. I don't think we even got a happy Father's Day from anyone.. We sat there waiting forever just to tell someone because no server ever checked back. Eventually another employee dropped off the missing bagel and immediately ran off again. My husband finally had to walk inside himself to tell them the food was cold and undercooked. A few minutes later they brought the same plate back out, clearly just microwaved. The eggs were now rubber, the hash was still awful, and the potatoes were still terrible. He went back inside a second time and told them to forget it and just charge us for the bagel, coffee, and my breakfast. Even getting the check took another 20 minutes. What's most frustrating is that nobody seemed to care. No apology, no urgency, no effort to fix anything properly. My breakfast was mediocre at best. The eggs and bacon were fine, but the French toast was cold and looked like plain toast, and they covered the potatoes in cheese without mentioning it. After reading other recent reviews, it's clear this wasn't just a one-off bad day. The common theme seems to be cold food, long waits, inattentive service, and management/staff who simply don't care. This place is overpriced, overrated, and unfortunately living off its past reputation. Maybe just stick with bagels.
