The Chinese food is great! Sesame chicken, general Tso, etc. I didn't like the Pad Thai at all, but stick to the other stuff and is good.

And your husband even said that you could wait the five more minutes it took for your food to come out she was very apologetic and promptly refunded your money . it was literally ready 10 seconds after you left. The fact that you are slaming the bartender and not the kitchen is sad. Henrys is the busiest restraunt in the county and there is a reason for that its cheap good chonese food. read more

I wish I could give less than one star. We arrived on an average night. We were seated and taken care of by our kind waitress. We ordered immediately after sitting down as we had all been there before with great experiences. We ordered 3 apps and 3 meals. Easy. While waiting we noticed a number of people placing take out orders and getting their meals and leaving. 35 minutes passed before we got our apps. We then began the waiting game. 8 people walked in placed an order and were served and gone and we hadn't heard a thing about or meals. We asked the waitress who said they had a lot of to go orders and the kitchen was told to handle them first. After an hour and twenty minutes of overall wait time, we decided to leave. We asked for the check. With the check we were brought the to go lo mein my sister ordered 30 minutes after our original order to take home to her boyfriend. Yea, that was done. Awful. We said we didn't want that and wanted to ask a manager what the deal was. Henry, the owner, yelled at us. Yelled at the waitress and yelled at my sister when another patron who had been waiting almost as long asked what the deal was. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. who yells at staff on the floor? And patrons? The food may be good....but it's really not much better than any other Chinese establishment. Go someplace the owner isn't a hot tempered jerk. Ugh. read more

Great lunch specials. Chinese done right. As a local, I'm really glad to have Henry's as a choice for dining.

I've heard many things about Henry's, all of them being good. About 80 minutes into my stay at the restaurant, I noticed something very strange. Aside from still having no food on my table, I noticed Henry very quickly bringing out boxes upon boxes of takeout orders. This had been the routine all evening. I asked our waitress, "Why are all of the people coming in after us for takeout orders receiving their food before us?" Her response was "That's the way the kitchen is run." In an odd twist of fate, the takeout order we placed 30 minutes after our original order was given to us before any of our other main course food. It's a whole 12 hours later and I still don't think I would've had my food by now. We asked to speak to Henry and he was very rude. He then started yelling at the waitress in front of all the customers. Which is not the way you conduct a proper business. Bottom line is, the restaurant should be first come, first served. It was terrible that no less than 12 takeout orders were accommodated before ours. There is Absolutely no excuse for that. None. Gordon Ramsey would've had a field day with Henry. I am now forever boycotting Henry's. I'm not a picky diner, but making me wait 80 minutes for a meal is not acceptable. read more

We were a large group of people and ordered a variety of dishes the food was great. However, the customer service we received was horrible. We had a very hard time communicating our order to our server it seemed like English was his second language and he couldn't understand a thing we were saying. He kept walking in and out of the kitchen every time we asked him about the vegetables that were in the dish, the sauce, he couldn't even tell us the portion/quantity size in some appetizers. Did i mention this is our server? When our food came out it was not what we ordered, my wife said we would keep what was at the table as it would be take longer to have this fixed. Things only got worse i think he knew customers there because he kept talking to a man in Spanish even after noticing that our table needed dirty plates removed and our water glasses were empty, this man was definitely enjoying his conversation. When we ordered our beverages my family ordered wine and being in a Chinese restaurant we ordered Chinese beers THIS SERVER DIDN'T EVEN ASK TOO SEE AN I.D. and trust me my nephews look very young. When we got our check it was obviously convenient for the server to have gratuity included in our bill and so he did. However, Edwin or Darwin i can't remember what his name was on the check did not have the decency to tell our table that gratuity was included. In many other restaurants they circle it for you so you can see it has been added. We walked out and were given a have a good night by the young lady in the bar. However, our server was to busy looking at his check to see if we had left a good gratuity, or trying to see if we had caught up on the fact that he had added gratuity and wanted us to leave more. This is some of the worst service I've experienced in a very long time. We were there for an hour and our waiter came by to take our order and give us our check... that's it. Henrys has some good dishes and some not so good dishes. However there are a number of reasons I am done with this place... the wait is really long, especially recently!!! and the kitchen is really loud, the dining room is loud even when its not crowded and the staff seems overworked. You can hear a woman and mans voice screaming from the kitchen the entire time you are dining, it seems to be this way every time I come in. The phone rings off the hook and there is constantly banging from the kitchen and people in and out the door. The service is good, the staff is really nice but always running around like they are overworked or understaffed, the food takes forever and is overpriced for the portions and the quality. The atmosphere is cold and unwelcoming and way too loud. I've tried this place a few times but I'm over it. read more

The owner is the Grinch that stole Christmas. It was Christmas day in Edwards and we ordered our food for take out. They said it will be ready in an hour. We arrived at the restaurant to take out the food, they immediately processed our credit card and then we waited another 40 minutes. After an hour and forty minutes of waiting we approached the owner, not sure if his name is Henry, but when we explained we had been waiting for an hour and forty minutes , he dismissed our comments, he clearly didn't care, he cancelled our order and said for us to go to a fast food place for dinner. This guy is a piece of work. We were polite and he never looked us in the eye but just brushed us off. His arrogance and rudeness was unparalleled. I think he needs a vacation as he was so stressed but thankfully we went down the street to China Garden in Avon. The owner could not have been nicer or more accommodating at China Garden. read more

This is my first yelp review. I've been to this restaurant or ordered take out over 50 times and have been a few small issues through the years but nothing big enough to put online. I've also recommended this restaurant and talked it up as the best chinese food option in the valley. After last night, im not sure i'll ever eat at this place again. Nozawa has much better asian food. My last experience was not only some of the worst food i've had recently but the service was ridiculous. Took a couple visits to our table just to get us silverware, the dumplings sat on the table for close to 5 minutes before the dipping sauce arrived and we got 3 pancakes with the moo sho. When we asked for more we were told that they were out of pancakes. the server did everything she could to not pay attention to us until it was time to pay the bill. sorry about the $1 tip, you're lucky you got that. Henry's has great food if you dine in but don't expect service if you'd like carryout. I've been a long-time customer of this restaurant, since well before the ownership change, and I still enjoy this food but, because you can rarely get them on the phone even during early evening hours, I'll be skipping Henry's from now on. If they made the decision to staff accordingly, I would still be a customer but I'll be ordering out from the East from now on. 3 stars, just for the food. We go there monthly and the food is consistent. The service is hit and miss. Once we sat down for 15 min, no hello, no service, no nothing. Literally we got up and on our way out, when somebody said I'll be right there. My husband told him nicely that we've been waiting for a while...and the server answer was : ok. Good Chinese food for dinner, good service and reasonably priced. What more can someone ask?

It's not perfect, but its the best chinese food within reasonable driving distance. You'll find a lot of locals in here whether its lunch or dinner and for good reason. Even when things are a bit off it's still good food for a fair price based on this valley's pricing structure. I would have given it five stars as most of the time the flavors are bright and fresh with a nice zing of originallity, but occasionally its a bit bland as if the second string kitchen crew is left in charge. I have ordered carry out from here quite often, and they are really good at getting it right so long as you stick to the menu and dont call too late (like right before they stop serving.) read more

Hostess was robotic, never said hello, how are you, welcome, enjoy... All she said was two for dinner? Didn't even say right this way or follow me, she just grabbed menus and turned and walked. I didn't know if she was sitting us or the table in front of us...then when the server came over, again no hi how are you, welcome. Actually the server never even made eye contact with us, she was distractd with something outside. When the meal came a cook dropped off the food. Mine was not spicy enough, so I had to wait what seemed like more than 5 mins, the server never came over to ask how is everything or if I needed anything else...actually the cook saw that I was not eating so he came over and asked what was wrong. My water was never refilled and the server took our leftovers without asking if we wanted a box??? Now if they were super busy I'd understand, but we were 2 of 6 people in the entire restuarant. No manager looked to be on duty, no one ever came over to ask us how everything was. For how slow it was, this is the worst service ever. Ive gotten better service in a deli. Will not return read more
