As far as I'm concerned there is no other Chinese food place in town. When you're looking for those go-to take out dishes - sesame chicken, fried rice, lo mein, hot and sour soup, and beef with broccoli - Little Dragon has the best versions in town. What's more is that Little Dragon carries a bunch of stuff I've never seen anywhere else - a ton of healthy dishes that are baked rather than fried and a ton of vegetarian stuff too. The owner was very rude over the phone. Called to place an order just before they opened. She said she couldn't take the order (they always have over the past 10 years. I fully understood they wouldn't start on my order until they opened. However it was a very nice courtesy and convenience in the past to have the latitude to call ahead. When I shared it has always been done, she said she was busy and hung up on me. Unfortunately, given the volatile environment we live in today they lost a loyal customer after 10+ years. Incredibly disappointed because i loved the food, but I choose kindness.... Mimi -- Yes, I called at 3:30 just to put my order in. I fully understood the restaurant would not start on it until 4. Perhaps I wouldn't have been so disappointed or shocked, if you didn't allow this every time over the past 10 years. I also know that you hung up on me and I most certainly did not yell at your employee. I was simply calling back to share my disappointment and quite frankly, my shock that the treatment came from the owner. Yikes! Your reply to my earlier post, has certainly proven my point even more. This is hands down without question the best Chinese food in Denver. It's a walk in and pick up your food kind of place and is by far the best in town. The owner lady is a machine and her food is consistently of the highest quality, deepest flavors, and as authentic as you can get. My husband's favorite is the garlic chicken, which is SUPER clean and healthy. All fresh veggies in an amazingly savory garlic sauce. Mine is the salt and pepper chicken, fried and tossed with chilis and onions. It's something I would pay twice the amount for at any sit-down Chinese restaurant, and walk out happy. There's no comparison in Denver. Not even close. I recommend take out, not delivery. Especially for the salt and pepper chicken. Little Dragon is my got to neighborhood Chinese takeout joint. They get the job done and do it quickly, which is exactly what one wants something to take home and enjoy while catching up on TV shows and wearing sweatpants. Raise your hand if you are guilty of the latter. Dishes that are a staple in my house: crab rangoon (aka, cream cheese wonton), broccoli beef, cashew chicken, sesame chicken, orange chicken, sweet and sour soup. Not all of the things at once, mind you, because the portions are pretty large and we're usually ordering dinner for two. For the healthier minded folks out there, they do have brown rice instead of white rice. But at this point, you should go for what tastes the best because calories don't really matter. read more

Service is incredibly friendly. I often get free items added to my order. Their in-house delivery is prompt but we live close. I have never had an issue with late delivery from them. Pickup is another story and is something they seem to struggle with. With about a million terrible home food delivery apps out there it can be ridiculous I'm sure. Dear other reviewers, stop blaming your food delivery app problems on restaurants! I have been eating here for a couple years and have tried most of the menu. I would say I enjoy 3 out of 4 dishes from here, the remaining ones are almost inedible (looking at the BBQ pork app, I actually spat it out). The food is fresh but usually pretty bland. I add the sauces they include and usually also have to add salt. Anything on the menu that claims to be spicy is anything but. If mayonnaise is spicy to you it might be spicy. If you are gluten free and really miss good noodles, their Singapore Rice Noodles absolutely scratch that itch. Their other dishes range from "meh" to "good" though. I've never been a fan of giant chunks of raw bellpepper taking up 1/3 of my meal, but it's been the trend amongst American Chinese food for awhile now. Food: wasn't the best. The sesame tofu is breaded and drenched in sweet sauce. For $10.95 I feel like broccoli should be included instead of such a large portion. But you get your money's worth and it's very shareable. Call-in order experience: there seems to be some confusion about the price they charge you when you live 1 mile outside their delivery zone (one person says $5 another says $7, then $6). Initially my experience was really good, then there was some confusion and obvious annoyance on both sides. I live 12 mins away btw. Delivery: took 1 hour food was kinda cold Not like fresh out the pan hot + 12 mins driving, warm. But like waited about 15 mins + 12 mins of driving warm. Which didn't help the sesame tofu. Probably would order with sauce on the side next time. Or just pick it up myself. The vegetarian eel was inside a broken container so there was sauce in the bottom of the bag and probably in the driver's car. Service: so bad! So rude! Favorite dishes include: salt & pepper shrimp, pan fried noodles, asparagus & beef,and "not war wonton soup." Little Dragon is our go to Chinese take out spot! The food is always delicious, fresh and hot. From the orange chicken, sesame chicken, wok ton soup and noodle dishes, we've never had something we didn't love here. The staff is also incredibly kind. Door dash couldn't get us a driver for our order, so they waited 40 minutes past closing so we could still get our dinner and didn't charge us for it. This is a new place! It's really small, with 2 tables for eating and mostly made for take out or delivery service. The cashiers are friendly, nice and they make your food to order. The menu is pretty large for a take out chinese place, with many different sauces to choose from. I got the sesame chicken, which to my surprise was a very large portion! It came with rice (fried or white) and spring rolls as well. The chicken was pretty tasty with lots of sauce, tender. The fried rice was also ok, nothing mixed in with the rice however. Little Dragon is so so good. The meat is high quality and all the dishes are super flavorful. We came for the first time before the pandemic and crammed ourselves into their single-table "dining room" not really realizing take-out is their focus. The owner/management was super gracious and the wonderful food won us over. Since then we've ordered take-out several times (including during the lockdown), and have always had a delicious meal. Serving sizes are large, so prepare yourself mentally and emotionally for leftovers. Update to former 5 star review.. We have ordered from them multiple times and usually love this place and order 80-90 bucks worth of food every time and recommended them to everyone. Tonight we ordered and didn't recieve any of the fried rice (each an upcharge) included with entrees, or any of the sauces included in descriptions of items ordered. When contacted, they stated that we were out of their delivery zone and should take it up with door dash, which is confusing because we started ordering from them because we had recieved a mailer advertisement, in fact the only way we discovered them. I was told that they did not send out mailers (which I was holding and used for the number to call). I was told that "rice isn't even an entree so it shouldn't matter anyway". I didn't ask for free food or credit. I called to state that my order was incomplete and was told that losing my business didn't matter. The food is good, but the fact that completing customers' orders for what they pay for is not important at all and mail advertising in an area they refuse to deliver to is frustrating. read more
