Sheraton's convenience store for hotel guests. You can get water, gifts, snacks, souvenirs, and even wine here. Pour your own coffee and toast your own bagel. A banana will cost you $2.50! It's very pricey! There is usually only one clerk behind the counter and service can be slow. There is a small area inside with table and chairs, and more seating outside that looks into the beautiful Sheraton courtyard area. I guess we could have stocked up on snacks at a market in town, but we enjoyed making Link's our first stop in the morning for our coffee and bagel before heading out to watch the sunrise.

Turkey egg McMuffin which is worst than a gas station!

Avoid this place at ALL cost! The egg turkey McMuffin was simply a microwave frozen tv dinner for $7. Go to the nearest Starbucks or McDonalds instead. Breakfast burrito was frozen and reheated. Safeway burritos in the frozen aisle is better than this! Everything is literally from a frozen section to be reheated and a gas station can do better. I'm sorry, but this is one of the worst dining hotel places I've ever been. It's like they don't even try to make anything appeasing because there is no walkable distance places besides them. Do yourself a favor and get a protein bar and banana from the grocery store if you want a quick bite before your morning activities. The only reason we came here was because we had a 8am activity and this was our of convenience. DO NOT come here!!!

Link@Sheraton Café has coffee (Starbucks), beverages (water, soft-drinks), breakfast items (like oatmeal & croissant or muffin sandwiches with bacon, egg, cheese, etc) and sandwiches like roast beef, turkey, etc. The deli sandwiches start at (iirc) 11am and most (all?) items are pre-made so not much customizing. The odd name (IMO) comes from the "Link@Sheraton(sm) Experience with Microsoft(tm)" which appeared to be referring to the handful of Win7 machines near the concierge plus several within the café. I saw this naming in the Guest Services binder, not by the "Link" machines so hopefully this is working out for the M$oft marketing ROI. Anyway, we came for breakfast items a couple of days during our stay. The g/f went with the more nutritious oatmeal (topping choices of Almonds, Brown Sugar, Raisins) and I went with the Sausage Egg & Chz Muffin ($5.50). Breakfast sandwiches get zapped in the microwave way too long. Bread gets tough and cheese gets crunchy (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/link-sheraton-caf%C3%A9-koloa?select=vrOslf9jq3avw16dGQS8qQ#OnRWl4QdHRQTC6FK087Jsg). Ask to have time reduced and it will be much better. Oatmeal not bad (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/link-sheraton-caf%C3%A9-koloa?select=vrOslf9jq3avw16dGQS8qQ#biVSUvS5LUTbO3tDyFv7WQ). Variable toppings amounts depending on the worker. Cute feral will eat just about any leftovers (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/link-sheraton-caf%C3%A9-koloa?select=vrOslf9jq3avw16dGQS8qQ#KEAeCjtR0kxCP0YXbmlxVA). There's a small sundry's section which inexplicably does not have Sunblock. You're a resort in Hawaii. Where's the nearest ABC Store??

The good: Open till 11 pm and they make hot pizzas. There is a ice cream and cold beer in the fridge. Starbucks coffee and good pastries. There is almost everything you need for your hotel room snack needs The bad: they don't allow you to use their microwave to reheat your food that is cold or left over.

1 liter bottle of water was $4.00 ugh...

Goods are overpriced. But what do you expect from a resort. Always upselling anything & everything. Only place close enough to get a snack before bed. Room service is done at 9pm. Can't really expect the girl behind the counter to be very helpful, just because she is the only one there. At least she was nice.

    Coconut Muffin

I had a coconut muffin at the link today. It was fine but not what I had imagined a $6 muffin would taste like. I expected a lot more coconut flakes in my muffin. My husband had a blueberry muffin. There was plenty of blueberries in the muffin, but it didn't taste special. My husband said there was no wow factor.

In town for the day simply to show me an investment property my family and I might be interested in the very near future, before she departed she had to pick up an order of pies to bring back to her family. Of course, I came along for the ride because I liked pie, but I was curious how good they were if she was willing to fly several of them in her carry-on. Founded by Sandy in October 2009, she quickly adjusted her business model from doing six community events a week to her first retail location in Lihue in 2011. The business continued to grow that led to a second location this time in Kalaheo in 2014. Fast-forward to today, the Kalaheo store is the only one standing, and she has cultivated a strong following both near and far of pie fans and the continued support of the local community. Did I choose the right slice for my first time here!? PURCHASE(S) Mango Lilikoi Pie Slice ($8.50): Their most popular pie, they had me at mango! Filled with plump juicy mangoes combined with the just right amount of lilikoi (passionfruit) and topped with a sugar crust. Juicy sweetness burst in every bite, and I was in pure heaven! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=120&select=-IUMWv6HB5wpv9AiQ-Y_bg Macadamia Nut Pie Slice ($8.50): This time, they had me at macadamia! Made with a ton of island macadamia nuts, roasted to a perfect golden brown combined with butter, eggs, sugar, and fresh spices for a nutty tropical sensation, this pie reminded me of a pecan pie but so much better! It was heavy, thick, and required a cold glass of milk to perfectly pair it with. I went nuts for this pie! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=120&select=JfthjT1sMLgeXqbfMPGzhA To-Go Containers ($0.50 x2): For my dessert, I've never been charged this before, but I understood businesses needed to cut/pass along costs as much as possible - c'est la vie. Credit Card Surcharge 3.00% ($0.57): Another pass-along fee that has become more prevalent - oh well. SERVICE I was warmly greeted by a young woman behind the counter who gave me time to review the menu while she offered recommendations. Once I ordered, my items were quickly packed and ready to go - mahalo! PARKING (FREE): We were lucky to grab one of the five small spots in front of their shop (it was very difficult to back out due to the heavily-trafficked thoroughfare). Otherwise, I wasn't sure where else you could park nearby - be prepared. OVERALL The Right Slice offered magical pies both savory and sweet (I must return to try a savory one!) all made from scratch and with a ton of love. The care and pride was tasted in each incredible bite, and I wished I had one to bring back with me after I ate each slice back at the resort. Everything tasted phenomenal, the prices may've been a tad high (but well worth it!), and the service was calming and straightforward. Plus, I always loved to try and support small local mom & pop businesses. I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $19.00 BEFORE any discounts, points usage, and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS

We stopped by on a Tuesday around 8:30AM and got our pick of malasadas to try out! Kauai Bakery is located in a shopping plaza with plenty of ample parking, making it very easy to stop by and grab some delicious pastries. Service is like your typical bakery, you pick what you would like and they get it to you so you can stuff your face immediately after purchase. Ambiance is cozy with plenty of pastries to pick from in the large display case. We got 4 flavors of Malasadas for $16, which is $4 per doughnut, which I think is a decent price for the size and heft. The flavors we sampled were Lilikoi, Coconut, and Guava - out of these flavors, the coconut one was my personal favorite! The flavor was exactly what I would want anything coconut cream flavor should taste, creamy texture with a pleasant coconut taste that didn't taste artificial at all. It captured the floral background taste that is missing from a lot of coconut desserts that makes coconut so pleasing to eat! The Lilikoi one was my next favorite, it had a slight tartness and a more subtly pronounced flavor - I think I was looking for something stronger personally. Lastly was the guava one, which actually tasted a bit artificial and didn't have a pronounced flavor at all, which was unfortunate. Despite this critique, I would still glady inhale 2 or 3 of them because the dough was really pillowy and really enjoyable to eat. I think that the pastries here (at least the malasadas) are very solid and priced competitively vs most things here on Kauai. I would totally come back to get several more of the malasadas as well as try the other pastry options on the menu. Stop by and give this bakery a try if you are in the area!

There were a lot of snacks and baked goods that you could buy to-go. For a physically small food mart, the menu is quite extensive. Unfortunately, they were out of poke and kalua pork which are the main components of the Hawaiian plate so we got the mixed plate A, the lilikoi chiffon cake, and the Loco Moco double patty instead. Aside from that, the service was good. The lady was very sweet and apologetic that they were out of so many items. The mixed plate A was pretty disappointing and would be dragging down the rating to 3 stars if the Loco Moco wasn't the best Loco Moco I've ever had. The rice was so perfectly cooked and fluffy and the gravy had the best consistency. I asked for over-easy eggs that was well seasoned and amazing with the holistic dish. The burger patty was super tender and juicy as well! This hit a homerun and I would not shut up about this dish the entire meal. The lilikoi chiffon cake was definitely a pass. It really wasn't a chiffon cake at all and closer to a pie consistency. It was very tart and the I think the biggest thing was the texture.
