First time coming. Wanted to try the sushi, so I ordered pepper tuna and a Poke bowl. It was meh. The pepper tuna was like tuna jerky. Dry and chewy. Small Ginger poke bowl was good but needed something more. I did like that they had a kids meal option. It seemed like a lot of protein and a little rice. Lots of cucumber in the poke bowl and not much rice.

First time trying sweet shrimp ....amazing so so good . It's smooth like velvet and sweet

I think the fish here is so fresh and yummy for the price point. I'm super particular about salmon because it's very easy to get a salmon sushi that's a bit slimy sometimes but here is plump and fresh no fishy smell nice flavors in every piece of sushi . I tried the sweet shrimp for the first time and it was ammaazzzing I'm still craving it again today . I've been here once before and the service is always wonderful and very friendly will definitely try again

Food tastes "Just ok" and portions are miserable especially considering the cost. Look at the picture I attached. That was $13.99! (disclosure: we did take a few spoonfuls already but you can tell how small the portion was as we didn't touch the right side yet). Also If you are expecting a full service experience this is NOT the place for you. You have to pay ahead of time by walking up to the register. The sushi I get at H.E.B. or Kroger tastes better and that's not an exaggeration. And if that's not enough, they serve your food on paper plates. Very disappointed

Disgusting. I can't believe this place is still open. It was the worst sushi I have ever had. If you had sushi in a nice restaurant and you think, 'oh well, I will just settle since I don't want to drive far.' Don't do it. We couldn't eat 20 items we ordered. This is not a professionally trained sushi chef. Food was old. Sushi is determined by the rice. Come on. You made a bad batch of rice, throw it away. Do not serve your guests. If your fish is old. Great food with large portions and a lunch combo specials. This location does have outdoor seating however it is uncovered and open to the elements. Service is very friendly and restaurant is clean inside and out. Restrooms were cleaned and maintained. read more

I Came to this restaurant for the first time. And the server recommended these two rolls, they were super delicious. I love the spicy tuna, it's a must try. Little Ginger is my go to sushi place in Kingwood! It's not the best sushi in the world, but it's good quality fish for a good price. I frequently take advantage of the lunch roll combo and my boyfriend loves the salmon poke bowl. Everything is delicious and good quality! Before COVID-19, I would eat lunch at the sushi counter and chow down. Best sushi in Kingwood hands down!!! read more

One word can sum this first time at little ginger WOW from the first step inside the team working was friendly and super helpful they work so well together you never feel like you are wanting anything. As for the food i had tempora vegies that was prepared so fresh and the sushi was fresh nicely rolled and even down to the detsils of the cucumber still had crispness when you took a bite which showed the detail and care they took to make my dining experience one i want to tell everyone about Dont miss this kingwood treasure! read more

Walked in at 6:00pm on Friday night and we were seated right away. This place is small, but carry out is an option, too. We ordered our food and it arrived about 10 minutes later. The green tea is good but, it was either a bit too hot or the cup is too thin and the cup could not be handled for several minutes. All the orders came out correct except one; I ordered a spicy poké bowl over salad mix but it came on rice all the same. Speaking of salads, they use iceberg lettuce and sadly no real greens; a titanic mistake IMO as small gestures of extra quality go a long way. I also had an order of yellow fin tuna and octopus sashimi and both were excellent. The wasabi was just right. They were busy, but everyone was extremely helpful. I would recommend you flag down anyone you can instead of waiting for your specific waiter or waitress. If you're looking for another good local sushi restaurant in Kingwood, give this place a try. (Don't believe other reviews with claims of paper plates or having to order at the counter.) With some small changes, I would bump this to 4 star, but for now it's a solid good 3 star eatery. read more

Ordered through DoorDash for dinner after putting the kids to bed. The DoorDash experience was great, but the food was out of this world. Can't speak to atmosphere in the restaurant, but we will definitely have this again. I got the orange chicken bento box and my husband ordered the house lo mein. Both were great. Tons of food. If you want Sushi they seem to have good reviews however we went for a curry. We will never go back! Food was absolutly tasteless no flavor at all. Asked for Special Lo Mein worst I have ever had a few slithers of beef chicken and maybe 3 prawns. Im sure the pasta was just Italian pasta with soy sauce as basic as that with no taste. The icing on the cake was the General Tsos Chicken OMG this dish was so bad I actually called the restaurant back up when we got home. The portion size would hardly feed 1 person! I asked and the girl actually said "do you have 13 pieces of chicken"!! What!!! I counted if you can call the very small pieces of diced chicken 13 yes I did! She then went onto say well you have the correct portion size as lunch menu is 7 pieces!!! I have never before heard of this they must stand and count the chicken before serving. Its not cheap either! Finally I will say I will never again go back and rather go to Heb for Poke or Sushi and another restaurant for curry! If you want no taste or flavor food and small portion sizes go ahead you'll be very pleased! read more

I've been coming here semi-regularly for the last couple months. Prices have remained the same and the waitstaff actually takes your order at the table now and you don't have to pay standing at the register anymore. One downside is the portion sizes have gotten slightly smaller and they no longer serve the salad appetizer before your meal arrives. However, this is understandable since they no longer have to draw in customers. Still one of the best Asian cafes in Kingwood. read more

Ordered take out through grub hub, received the order with about about half the stuff we actually ordered! Husband went to pick up what was left behind (so much for ordering with grub hub!) to get home to realize they didn't give us ginger or wasabi either! Called the restaurant as we were both very frustrated and was told we could go back yet again and pick it up! Well, no shit! We definitely will not be coming or ordering from them again! The Mrs says it reminds her of a plain Costco chicken. I still ate this more the the pork, and pork is my usual go to. The shrimp was ok to me, and I'm not really sure how I'd describe it but I ate it all. I don't think I'd order the Kami Goyu again as I did not care for the steak, but I did eat it since I don't like wasting food. I think the spicy chicken ramen may be my favorite overall. My absolute favorite thing here though, is the Akuma roll. All I can say is I love it, and I'll be ordering it everytime I go. It is a raw sushi roll. All in all, I know we'll be back! Note: you can try 2 different types of ramen if you order the yin yang ramen, minus their lobster ramen.

Service wasn't great either, which is surprising since we were some of the only ones dining in. Overall just tasteless or weird tasting food. Not really worth a second visit.

This little cozy spot has been my personal favorite for a long time, I am beyond happy that it has finally opened up for dine in. I went there for dinner tonight by myself, ordered my two favorite rolls the Rocket roll and the Kingwood roll, delicious! This place never disappoints me, the staffs are always friendly and helpful. Quality sushi in the Kingwood area, you need to come here! For those of you who is curious about their precautions due to the virus, the staffs are wearing face masks, and they are practicing social distance by separating the tables. This is quite possibly my favorite restaurant in the area. The staff are always incredibly friendly and attentive, and the restaurant itself has a comfortable atmosphere. I always order the tuna poke bowl and it has never been anything less than perfect. The tuna always tastes fresh, the rice is never dry, and everything comes together excellently. I think those who give this place a bad review are just upset because they are the type of customers who arrive 15-30 minutes before the kitchen closes and have no respect for the staff. Everytime I have come into this establishment, I've had nothing but a wonderful experience.
