If you're familiar with the Ginger Cafe just off 1960, then you know what to expect with Little Ginger. This is a great location for delicious sushi and service with a smile! The Shaggy Dog roll and Crab Spring rolls are highly recommended, and the sushi chef will sometimes bring you a sushi appetizer on the house - something they come up with on the spot. This place is great! This exact location has been a couple other restaurants in the past several years, let's hope it stays for good this time! My wife and 7 yr old sushi lover tried it out a while ago and were pleasantly surprised! We went back on my wife's birthday and it was just as great as the first time. The service is awesome! I ordered a Houston Maki roll which is AWESOME! I would recommend bento box kung pao ribeye. The meat is amaze-balls!! Awesome flavor and juicy! I absolutely adore this place! The food is always wonderful and so is the service. The amount of people there varies but it's never really so crowded you have to wait on a seat. I have no complaints nor do I know anyone with complaints. This place is family friendly too, so you don't have to worry about your children. I've been to Little Ginger twice now. The first time, which happened to be the week they opened, I would have given them 1 star. The food was mediocre at best and the soup was bad...and I'm not a picky eater :) Fast forward to today when hubby and I decided to give it a second chance. Glad we did! My husband ordered sushi which he said was good (I didn't try it) and my spicy tuna poke bowl was really good. They are also playing around with their service style. Today was table service vs. order at the counter and get a number. I will definitely stick to sushi and poke bowls there for now. Give them a try! It's nice to have options in Kingwood. read more

Just got our take out. The sushi (tuna) was not fresh. We ordered tuna sashimi and a tuna roll and both were tough to eat. We ended up tossing just about all of it. The wonton soup and chicken fried rice also had an odd metallic taste. This our second try here. First time was ok but the latest order left a lot to be desired. read more

This was a disappointing visit. We had Bento Boxes. My husband's food was cold when delivered to the table and while they said they'd fix it, they blamed it on the sauce and said the chicken was hot. It wasn't hot when I tried it. The chicken was cold in the middle. i tried it. My entree was so hot I could barely eat it. My little spring/egg roll was cold, and the fried dumplings were cold. The steamed rice was great. I felt like I was in The Three Little Bears. We had upset stomachs the whole night. I wish we could support our local family owned business, but we can't help support this one. read more

I never write reviews, especially negative ones or call and complain. Considering the low quality and horrible taste of the four items that we ordered topped off with how rude the supervisor/manager was when I called to get a refund I have to share this horrible experience and waste of 50 bucks (delivery included). The General Taao's chicken tastes like it came from a frozen box dinner. I literally ate one piece and said no I can't. I then Tried my wife's Teriyaki chicken and it tasted like pre cooked sliced chicken breast with what is suppose to be the teriyaki sauce. It was so bland and rubbery it was not edible either. Next the special lo mein was so salty that it was also in edible. 4th was the mini egg rolls which also tasted like they came from a microwaved box. We tried adding soy and sweet n sour sauce and it did not help. There was two dumplings served as a side that were pretty tasty but all together did not sum up to 50 dollars spent on this meal. The supervisor was rude and refused to honor his product and refund us our money since we used door dash. Once he found out that door dash was used it was like an automatic excuse to get out of having to deal with the issue at hand. I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

I ordered the Beef Bento Box. The wonton soup was lukewarm and tasted like water. The eggroll was the size of the top of my thumb. The portions are tiny. The Beef was adequate for typical Chinese food. The service was ok with the server devoid of personality. I suspect the sushi is the draw here. Go anywhere else for Chinese food. read more

This restaurant is new and as of last week they still don't have a liquor license - more of a FYI as I don't think it's a big deal. The resultant itself is not very big, there are maybe 10 tables. My disclaimer here is also that there aren't too many restaurants like these in the area and for what you get in the area I think this is a 4 star compared to the non existent choices. This will not be the best poke or sushi you'll ever have but if you're in the area, this is pretty good. We tried the tuna tower and although it was ok in flavor, it wasn't much of a tower. It was also strange that it didn't have some type of dressing so it felt a little dry but it did taste good overall. I had the small king poke bowl, it had pretty good flavors but it didn't have a lot of fish in my opinion for a poke. For the $10 I think it's fair. The salmon hand roll was good but again a little lacking on fish. The unaji was good overall but not the best I've had. I think overall, the ambiance is nice, the service was good, location was clean and the food was pretty good, making it an enjoyable experience. It won't knock your socks off but for great to see variety added to the area and I'm all for it! read more
