Little Ground is exactly what this area of Grand Central needed. A lot of us were waiting and wondering what would pop up on this corner (Flower and Sonora) as it was slowly refurbished. You could tell from the design that this place would be comfortable and contemporary (the last place was outdated, anachronistic even). To the food... I'm a wet-cappuccino person, and they make them exactly how I like them here!!! Start with good beans: Stumptown roasts. And perfect espresso/milk/foam balance. I haven't experimented with other drinks, so that's all I can review for now. The baked goods are phenomenal. Familiar enough, but with nice twists to keep them really interesting. Fave so far is the orange-ginger scone. Wow. Noshing on a blueberry muffin right this minute, and it's excellent too. And can't forget to mention the quiche - I'm vegetarian so I go for the spinach and Gruyere. Rich, smooth, and just the right size to take the edge off between breakfast and lunch. Everyone has been incredibly friendly. Fantastic service. I'm sure the crowds that will inevitably show will challenge the small facility. If I were them, I'd already be looking to expand! I was so happy to have been brought here by one of my coworkers who comes here almost every day! I can't believe I haven't been here before and it is right down the street from my office! The line always seems long but it moves quite quickly and the food comes out fast as well. They have a wide range of items from delicious salads and sandwiches to delightful desserts. I had the kale Salad with chicken and I am so glad I did! I will definitely be back and report on the other items that I ordered. read more

Great spot to grab a bite, coffee or a snack. The parking is a little insane at times, but there is a pretty cool outside seating area and free internet. Had sandwiches and baked good and been very impressed, but my complaint is the with the iced coffee. I wish they could have a cold brew option as the iced coffee is mediocre. I have only tried their cafe latte and jasmine iced tea which I like better than most coffee shops. Great food at a great value. Also a cute location. I work down the street from this place and have noticed that the more popular they have become, the worse the customer service gets. I had ordered a caesar salad and when I got back to my office it was DRENCHED in dressing. It looked like soup. And I'm someone who loves dressing and it was even too much for me. I went back to return it, so much for saving time and ordering over the phone. My boss was there as well and had ordered one of the egg bakes and waited 20 minutes as he watched people that were in line after him leave with their food before he was even called. When he went up to the window to ask for an update the girl at the coffee machine snapped, "It's not ready!" and turned around. A few minutes later he asked someone else for an update and he said, "Here it is." and slid it to him without looking. Listen, I worked in the food and customer service industry and it's not tough to have good customer service. Needless to say, we wont be going back. read more

I routinely walk down here for breakfast and lunch and have found the food and service to be very good. They have healthy lunch options as well as scrumptious baked goods to satisfy your sweet tooth. The coffee is excellent. They don't have readily visible signage and the building itself is rather inconspicuous, so you might miss it, and there is only street parking. It's one of those places best enjoyed by folks who have a job in the immediate vicinity and want to get out of the office for a little bit with a nice walk. read more

Um...This place has THE BEST quiche. Its creamy and the crust is doing everything it needs to do out in these here cafe streets. It also comes with a wonderful fresh salad with a delicious vinaigrette dressing. Everything is made fresh daily and I appreciate that. I may have one problem though. I love sweets and fortunately for them, but unfortunate for my waistline, I'M ADDICTED TO THEIR CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES! They run out very quickly because folks don't play around with buying them. Good lord, I don't know what happened, but my regular cup of iced latte was horrendous. I liked the display of sweets but I cannot comprehend how they managed to extract such weak flavors from a fancy La Marzocco.. I love this place! They have a great selection of pastries and breakfast/lunch food here, as well as really tasty drinks, though usually I just get tea. I'm a big fan of baked goods, and the ones they serve here are really delicious, but not overly sugary, which I appreciate. It seemed maybe a little disorganized when they first opened, but all of the employees have always been extremely friendly and prompt when I've been there! This place just opened. I thought I would give the Cubano sandwich a try. It was the BEST sandwich I've ever had. Generously filled with pulled pork, ham, cheese and a dollop of mayo. Cucumbers looked like they were pickled in-house. Wow! The pastries in the window looked tempting. Perhaps I will return on a cold morning to have one with a hot cup of coffee. The location of this new coffee shop is exactly what Glendale needs - far from street traffic, but it has enough parking. But unfortunately as a barista myself, I was really disappointed on the quality of the iced drinks. I ordered an iced cappuccino only to be served a cup of iced milk with a teaspoon of espresso... I love Little Ground Cafe. Working nearby and having passed it every day, I finally stopped by to have a cappuccino and something small to eat for breakfast. First off, amazing cappuccino. I lived in Italy so I've been spoiled when it comes to espresso drinks and I have to admit that I'm a bit of a cappuccino snob. The one at Little Ground Cafe is perfection. I also fell in love with their Date Cake. Small, moist, not too sweet. Incredibly tasty. Can't wait to try their lunch options. I was super disappointed with this place! If you know me, you know I love finding new places especially coffee shops. With Glendale opening so many places, the hype was up and I was super excited. When I got to the place I felt like half the cafe was missing - I mean everything needed was there but the place was missing something.... The employees were very bored at their job and this place has been open for like two weeks. The prices were normal, but they didnt match the quality. Their coffee tasted burnt and I really was bummed the pastries werent good either... I'll probably be back when the owner has time to fix things up but until then I'll stick to downtown glendale read more

Glendale has been a coffee dead zone for as long as I've lived here - nothing but Starbucks and a handful of "coffee" shops that don't really live up to the name. When Commissary opened in Burbank it was worth the extra drive to get real coffee, but now there's a real, high-end coffee spot in Glendale! It's a miracle. 2016 has been a never ending horror show of a year, but at least it brought us Little Ground. Oh, did I mention that all the food and pastries are excellent? read more

Every time I'm in town Little Ground Cafe is the place to go! If you're looking for strong quality coffee on the go you need to check this place out. Unfortunately they don't have an indoor lounge, but I don't stick around too long so it works great for me. Amazing place, I visited it for the first time and I would definitely coming back as soon as possible! I would rate it 10 stars if there would be five more. They make one of the tastiest coffee I have ever tried before and their bakery it is really something I do not exssagurat believe me once you try it you become addictive you dreaming to come back again and again. Their stuff members are great too they are extreamly polite and professional and operative. If you are in the area near Disney animation studios and Griffith Park you have to stop in at this spot. It is hidden away in the studio community but thankfully it's on the corner Sonora/Flower so when you drive by you can see the Little Ground business sign. Really good coffee to start with. And then, there's the food. Breakfast sandwiches, breakfast burritos (not your typical greasy burrito) and the best tuna melt I've had in all of Los Angeles. I know a good tuna melt when I taste one!! Oh and did I mention ridiculous quiche and pastries. The outdoor patio is chill and relaxing. I usually walk with a friend and furry friend to grab a bite before lunch time. Parking is limited. Best to grab and go or park on Sonora. read more

I didn't try the coffee, but I stopped here for breakfast the other day and had a delicious sandwich. The downside was that despite being empty the service was still a little bit slow and they gave me the wrong sandwich at first, but the food was so good that I couldn't knock them too much for it :) Parking could be an issue for many, but if you're like me and work nearby, it's a great place to walk to for breakfast or lunch. read more
