One of the things that makes Lodi a great little town are the diverse, locally owned businesses and restaurants. Little Lahore is a prime example of that. They bring a high quality, unique cuisine to the area that provides a wonderful change from the ever infringing corporate chains. I ordered takeout the other evening after taking a look at their Yelp page. The photos made the food look really good, and the reviewers all mentioned how nice these folks were over the phone. So I called in an order. Something simple to get my feet wet: Chicken tikka masala and rice. The folks were friendly, the order was made pretty quick, it was absolutely delicious, with large generous chunks of chicken (and the rice was very aromatic!), and there was enough for two heaping portions! I can't wait to go back and try something different! Note to newcomers: this is a small takeout only place, very easy to miss, and there isn't any dedicated parking that I'm aware of, so be ready to find a nearby parking spot in case the one in front of the restaurant is already taken. read more

Some of the best Pakistani food i'v had in California. The owner and workers were friendly and charismatic going above and beyond to make sure my needs were met. I loved being able to eat at the bar and watch them make the Naan fresh in front of me in the open kitchen. I will be going back next time i'm in town for work. read more

We ordered chicken tikka masala and white rice from in side the store. We were met by a friendly happy person he was polite and patient. We also got mango lassi it tasted fresh and not artificial we sat outside while food was being made it was a large order. We also got vegetable samosas they were very good they were not greasy or over cooked. Their seasoning was very good as well . The tandoori fish was a huge surprise .A first time trying it the flavors were great and texture of cooked fish was just right I look forward to having it again . We also tried the lamb chop those were seasoned with wonderful spices not hot spice but not what I expected I highly recommend them . We got plain naan it was fresh soft and large it tasted great dipped in chutney and masala . The rice portion were huge. It had bay leaf cloves and cinnamon stick in each serving I picked those out before I mixed curry and rice together but the residual flavor was phenomenal the rice was light and fluffy. Hey this place is a total hole in the wall but the food is ah-mazing!!! We had the deluxe combo which consists of butter chicken, basmati rice, nann, and salad! The garlic nann was so fluffy and soft, the butter chicken had just the right amount of spice, and the rice was cooked perfectly! We also had fish pakora with the tamarind sauce and it was delicious! This is exactly what Lodi needed! After hearing how great the food was, I couldn't wait to try it for myself. I wasn't sure what to order so I went with one of my favorite dishes, Chicken Tikka Masala. I cannot recall having better than this! The chicken was so tender, and the sauce was perfection. I also ordered Samosas. They are large, flavorful, and they come with a fantastic green chutney. I also recommend that you get an order of naan. Fluffy, thick, and delicious! Superbly blown away by the welcoming service, and then by the food! Hole-in-the-wall it may be, but definitely don't underestimate it! I'm vegetarian, and was unfamiliar with some of what was offered, and the gentleman taking our order was happy to explain the components of the dishes I was unfamiliar with. I chose the Daal Mong (yellow lentils), with samosas, naan, and a mango lassi. Every last bite was fantastic. I had the tikka masala (super creamy), samosa (the right amount of crispiness and best samosa I have had), garlic naan (super fluffy), samosa chaat (highly recommend), and chicken biryani (very flavorful). Everything I ordered was extremely delicious and flavorful. Nothing was missing. The flavor on everything including the texture and spice was amazing. I highly recommend the samosa chaat. It's like a samosa dish with garbanzo jeans and yogurt and other toppings on top. It's like a twist to the regular samosa. Service was fast considering how busy they were. We picked up the chicken tikka masala, garlic bread, and chicken curry boneless. Went home, and found little hard plastic shards in the chicken curry boneless. We found 5 pieces. Called back, and they were very accommodating and offered to refund the money or remake the order. This situation is not ideal but I really like how they handled it. I enjoyed my first take-out lunch from Little Lahore very much! I am not very well versed at all in Pakistani food and am a baby when it comes to spicy food, but still found items I thought were great and would order again. The chicken malai boti are large chunks of nicely-charred grilled chicken with great flavor and a mild spiciness that wasn't too much for me. The butter chicken and rice had delicious flavor again without being too spicy. (It was also nice that it came in a well-sealed plastic container that did not leak when it spilled over in my vehicle!) I had that as part of a deluxe combo that also comes with a salad and an ENORMOUS plain naan that was chewy, a little fluffy but well-cooked and delicious.
