The food was really good (Daily Special B), but the highlight for me was the pancakes. I had them topped with strawberries and whipped cream and they were delicious. Soft, fluffy, and the perfect breakfast treat. Customer service was also great--friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Breakfast with 8 retirees, some of whom had been coming here for years. atmosphere is a bit dingy and worn. Our server had been there for 50 years. We arrived about 8:30AM and left about 10AM. Service was fast and accurate. Water was delivered without asking and prices are very low compared with other locations in the area. Before coming to little Pat's my husband google searched this restaurant before deciding off of the reviews on there. We are visiting from out of town so we are going off the locals reviews. It's not in the best looking shopping center which there is a laundry mat and people hanging out outside asking for change. I read on yelp the great reviews as we already ordered our breakfast which the food looked good when it came. We sat in a booth on the right side of the restaurant against the wall. You seat yourself so that's where we chosen to sit. Before the food arrived a roach came crawling out of the cracks of the wall. Then the food came and it went crawling across the wall closer to my husband food. He went to kill it as I lost my appetite but he just end up knocking it to the ground. I took my phone flash light and looked under the table to see a whole in the wall which it ran into. I looked around at the people in the restaurant a very older crowd they not looking at their surroundings they could be seating with the roaches as they eat. That being said it's a good value for your money paired with good food equals a winning combination! I was there with my daughter and several co-workers. It being Father's Day (around 10:15am), it didn't surprise us to find the place very full but It didn't bode well when the hostess with our menus said "It'll be a while." She took our drink order (two coffees, one OJ, one ice water). She brought two coffees and two OJs and scampered away. Then began the frustrating wait for who turned out to be our waitress who we recalled seeing take the orders of other tables that arrived later than us. She finally came around and took our 2-person order. Now more waiting ... and waiting ... AND WAITING! Meanwhile we watched other later-arriving tables get what they ordered, eat, pay and leave. Still no food for us. Finally, after maybe almost an hour we managed to wave down the hostess who came with our check clearly not knowing we hadn't even been served! We told her we wanted to leave and followed her to the cashier willing to pay for the coffees and OJs. Only then did we meet our waitress coming out with our food order. This place is special-apparently this has been a Burien staple for 45 years! :) We went this morning because we wanted to get our diner fix. The beef creole scramble with hashbrowns and toast was one of the best scrambles I have ever had, and the portion sizes were perfect. While the place could use a few small upgrades in terms of the seating and decor, the flavor of the food and the awesome waitstaff were incredible. Ours were never empty & always warm! It is a little smaller than most places we go to. It was pretty busy on a Sunday morning around (11am) we got to choose our seats and there isn't much added distance between you and other guests. Booths are open back to back so if you're strong on the social distancing that's something to consider. My husband had the teriyaki burger & I had the teriyaki skewers breakfast & grits. Well, I've found Little Pat's Diner. The diner isn't located in a pretty location. I mean, heading toward to White Center isn't nice, but you know the best restaurants are most likely located in the ghetto area. You can definitely seat yourself , but you have to make sure to get the waitress' attention to not get ignored. The waitress was very attentive to my boyfriend's coffee and our order time, which was greatly appreciated. We ordered Breakfast W/ A Smile (bonus : moderate size deliciously marinated steak), Vegetable Omelet (without cheese), and biscuit and gravy (not sure how the waitress got it on the order , but it was given to us complimentary afterwards for her error). Overall, the portions are very generous with great prices for Burien. The foods taste very good for diner food, and I'm happy with the attentive staff service toward the customers. The waitress asked if it were our first time to the diner, so I can definitely tell this place is always full of its regular customers, which is very nice because happy customers will always come back to their favorite places. Yet for some odd reason it has some kind of charm that's not easy to truly identify. I've been going there for years because it's in a neighborhood that I used to live in. I only dine there now if I happen to be visiting the neighborhood, which is not very often anymore, and when I want that nostalgia effect. I really appreciate that the menu is fairly extensive and one that you can have breakfast, lunch, or dinner anytime of the day. I do have some favorites on the menu which include the pork chop dinner and cheeseburger with a fried egg on top. By the way, I eat them both for breakfast. However, they have everything ranging from Asian Cuisine, seafood, steaks, salads, soups, burgers, grilled cheese sandwiches, and such. I recommend you check this place out for the cool conversations that you're not even necessarily a part of and for the cheap and somewhat tasty short order, grill type food.
