Today was our first visit to the Little Pub. We were told it was kid-friendly so we took 4 adults and 6 children! We were promptly seated and greeted by our server, Sherry. We found the Pub very clean, well lit and nicely decorated. The menu was diverse enough that our Paleo eater, gluten-free eater and all 6 kids found something to order. Soon after our arrival, the dining room filled up and our server was left working every table. We started out ordering the pickle brined wings. Tender, crispy and absolutely delicious! Our meal arrived minus one entree. Once I alerted the manager, Natasha, she promptly assured us it would be right out and it was! My husband ordered the pork taco's and loved them our daughter ordered the fish taco's and devoured every bit. I ordered the hamburger salad with chipotle ranch on the side and found it to be absolutely wonderful. The burger was fork tender and done to perfection. With a packed dining room they weren't expecting on a rainy day, server Sherry and manager Natasha did a fabulous job juggling it all. The menu has something for everyone and the food was fabulous. Cilantro Lime chicken salad is simple and yet somehow amazing and always a go to. Whether dining in or take though, there's always a service issue, tables super high so the high chair height for your tot is way too low, getting take out most places one would assume utensils are included, if they're not that's okay but staff should at least ask or notify customer over the phone. It's the shore line, ppl get take out and head out, eat a salad with my finger, no napkin, no utensils, no dressing when you pay 15$ for a salad is not okay, not is the response from the business takes no responsibility and places the blame on the customer. Every time we come here, we order EVERY appetizers they have, not because we drink, but they're great. The rest of the main course and all, isn't that good. Service is great, finally a waiter of our age (20s) that moves fast, knows what he was doing and provide the best service. We went to the one in Norwalk and that one was gross. Interior is interesting.....that is about it. Called over the holidays for a party of 8 for lunch only to have the hostess tell me (without any certainty I may add) that they were no longer taking reservations but to come in anyway and they will see if they can sit us. We brought family and friends who were docked overnight not far away.... What a disaster, our waitress was clearly inconvenienced by (and completely ignorant to) a serious dietary restriction (that we called ahead of time to make sure they could accommodate), huffing and puffing and snatching the menu out of my hands. The manager couldn't spare a second to straighten things out and was down right nasty to me. The orders came out at all different times, one guest in our party got his meal after everyone finished, and half of them were not fully correct. Received a gift card from my aunt who lives near y and has frequented here. My husband and I came in on a Saturday evening around 6:30 with no reservation. We were told 35 minutes but think it was about 15. Kentucky Derby was on and the bar was pretty busy. We were seated at a small table. The waitress was excellent I wish I could remember her name. I asked her for recommendations as I couldn't decide in my entree. We ordered 3 a.m. fries for and appetizer and I had a fresh watermelon margarita which was delicious. We both got burgers. Mine was the Jamburger... OMG it was amazing aside from being slightly overcooked for my liking. Hubby got the Graceland burger and said it was amazing as well. Great atmosphere and easy to get to location. My wife and I eat here about once a month. They have done a good job with the COVID precautions and offer curbside takeout. The food is good. I'm there burgers always hit the spot. My only negatives are the prices for wraps and burgers are a little steep and about once every three times I go there is a mistake with the order. Service was awful. Had to ask for my water to be filled up 3 times because our waiter Jimmy was too busy talking to his friends about Keg parties. Meanwhile the restaurant was empty and the staff proceeded to eat, drink, swear, and play music at the table across the room instead of checking on us. Couldn't even take away dirty dishes... For our first time it was a great experience. We didn't have to wait for a table, even though the parking lot was packed, it was deceiving. The food came fast and was very good. Had a great experience here! The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was great. I was slightly confused by the menu though as it doesn't seem to match its pub identity with its extensive variety. Nonetheless, the food was delicious and we enjoyed every bite!. Be prepared to be there a while though the waitstaff isn't entirely familiar with everything yet so it does seem to take a while for service. If you have 2 or so hours to set aside then it's definitely worth the time! read more

Everyone was raving about this little gem so we had to check it out. Upon walking in, we were instantly greeted with a warm welcome and guided to a couple of seats at the bar. Everything looked so good on the menu, it was definitely hard to choose. My fiancée ordered the chicken tortilla soup as an Appetizer and the habanero jack burger as the entree. I ordered the steakhouse burger. The place was packed so we were expecting a lengthy wait time. Pleasantly surprised, our food came out quickly. The food was amazing! The waitstaff was as well. I'm a chef and I know my way around food and the kitchen. Listen to me FACTS: restaurants wish to separate you from your money at the lowest cost to them - and the highest cost to you. Little Pub: Chicken Tortilla Soup - YAWN! Tiny 8 oz. portion, 4 demure chunks of Alpo-sized white (and dry) dry chicken in a broth of chicken-flavored broth and green chilies. A .25 ounce of jack cheese and a sliced tortilla chip or two was melted on top. That was it. No corn, scallions, lime wedge, cilantro, carrots, onions - or anything other than the four ingredients I listed above. Thai Salmon on Greens: Out came the squeezy ketchup bottle filled w bland wasabi mayo (wasabi is Thai?) - squiggle squiggle "let's play with our food" - C'mon!? Lose the squeeze bottles! Salmon was atop overly wet greens w mandarins and not sure what else. Salmon looked like a slice of "smoked" it was so thin. Likely a small 4 oz. portion. Never saw "fresh" salmon this thin - except a tail piece - which my portion was not. HUNGRY after these two courses and $ 20 or $ 22 later. Food cost to them: $ 6. My friend: Beef Chili - I can't comment. He ordered a burger that came with what I will title a "Fry Dump" - The first thing my buddy said was "these fries suck". Well, it was the end of the night - so they are probably frying in oil that saw better times hours earlier. I'm sorry, you are not a legit dining place if you dump fries on a flat plate - sliding all over. If you are going to serve a fry - make it remarkable! His burger - which looked like a burger from anywhere (roll too big, burger too small syndrome) was overcooked as the server failed to ask him how he wanted it cooked. Should it be the server or the patron to ask? In my world, every server should be five steps ahead of any guest. I had to leave the table to fetch salt and pepper shakers. It felt like the hostess and the server were "doing us a favor" seating us 20 minutes before the listed closing time. Not good. Sorry. I'm cooking at home. read more

Wonderful addition. My family has been here 4 times since it opened a week ago. The wings are so good. I'm not a wing person but these were unlike anything else. So perfectly crispy without breading. The pickle brine makes such a difference. I got a burger that tasted wonderful as well. Plus the pours for wine leave you very satisfied. The owners of this small CT franchise did a fantastic job renovating this building. It was an eyesore before and it really does look like a pub inside and out. If you're trying to go for a cozy meal this place is not for you. The seating is close, which is fine but the place is LOUD. You will need to raise your voices to hear each other. They also seem to be giving back to the community a lot before they even opened. For that I will give them the second star. The wait staff was all over the place and they seem clearly overwhelmed. The first time we went as a family it took over 40 minutes for the food to come out which was ok because we were spending time as a family. The restaurant shocked us when they comped our meal because they wanted us to give it another try. The food was actually good so I did in fact give it another try and went with a friend on a Saturday night. We each had a burger. Mine was medium rare and hers was well done. We witnessed a couple other people sending their burgers back. I couldn't finish mine but honestly it tasted great. 3 hours later I became violently ill to the point that my husband almost called 911. 4 hours after me my friend became ill. Coincidence? I think not. I called the restaurant and messaged them. Over 12 hours after my phone call I got a dismissive message that it was not possible because no one else called. It is possible and my friend is also a nurse. We knew what happened. Do I hope this restaurant makes it in town? Yes of course. They give back to the town and their food tasted good. Will I ever go back? Not in any foreseeable future. I also told the manager when I first called and messaged I wasn't looking to post anything negative online. However, when a business takes zero accountability and throws it back at the customer in such a dismissive manner it's bad business. Shout out to the health department for also never returning my phone call. So for all of that....2 stars good luck. Little update: the health department did follow up with me. Seems important to note that 3 weeks after this had occurred and two follow ups with the health department Little Pub never contacted the health department regarding the incident. read more

Best restaurant on the shoreline in my opinion! Great beer selection, awesome food and cute ambiance. I'm a vegetarian and had plenty of healthy tasty options - definitely a rarity in this area. I had the spring rolls and little pub salad - both delicious! My brother-in-law was jealous of the salad, with the panko-crusted goat cheese. Everyone else said the egg rolls were outstanding and my mom loved her hamburger salad. Definitely check it out! read more

Great renovations. Amazing service and basic bar food. For a pub, you would expect the actual bar to be larger. The servers and front of the house staff are so nice and really fun. The menu is bar food and comes out quickly, hot and fresh. I was not overwhelmed. It's good, not great. Not quit sure why they feel the need for road blocks in the parking lot. Apparently they think people need directions to park. In my opinion it only makes finding the entrance more difficult. And once again I wish the bar sat more than 10 or 12 people. Give it a try. I will definitely eat here again, I just won't rush back. read more

A bit of a wait for the table, but that's ok. Pub had a perfect variety of beers on tap and in cans to hold me over. The wings are on point for Connecticut standards. The burger selection is over the top, lots of new flavor combinations. What knocked my socks off was surprising though. I have never had a good thing to say about a pickle. Tonight I found the positive pickle experience of a life time. They make their pickles onsite and I can honestly say they are the best I have ever had. Not to tart, not to sweet, not to tangy. Had a wonderful first time experience! We sat in the lounge area which they have redone the decor and was very nice inside. Tables are laid out so there is enough room. The bar atmosphere seems to be great with TVs to watch the game. The food was great we had a salad topped with salmon and some pickled fried chicken wings which were awesome I recommend them the drinks were satisfactory and the wait staff was on point. We were on a girls weekend to the area and looking for a place for dinner. The Little Pub was near our motel and looked cute from the outside so we went there. It was absolutely the correct choice.
