I'm very surprised with the average rating to this location. I'm a big fan of sweet green and this specific spot has been my favorite thus far. The staff member that helped my group was very friendly and patient. Her serving sizes were generous and she made sure all ingredients were top notch quality. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating here. This location was kept clean and spotless. This is a great place for a healthy and quick meal.

Why did I pay $19.22 for this skinny doodoo? These prices are criminal, especially since it's only Deer Park.

I always love sweetgreen's food. This particular location service is a bit slow, especially for the lack of people. My order was missing items that I had to go back in line and get. However, the food never disappoints. It's also well cleaned and a quiet atmosphere.

This review is going to be short and sweet. Over all the food we had was good. But the white rice was somewhat sticky. Not fluffy. It's a little like fast food. The tables and chairs were not the most comfortable. Plus, being short staffed, the table were dirty. How ever the stuff were very nice and helpful. It was my first time here. I will always try again. Shouldn't judge a book by its cover.

Love this place! We came opening weekend so the line was a bit long but that's to be expected. The inside is very clean and modern looking. Theres tables indoors as well as outdoors to dine at. There's a ton of salad options to choose from otherwise you can build your own salad bowl just the way you like it and they have tons of options for toppings dressings. Only complaint is that it is a bit costly and I wish you could get more toppings without paying extra.

The food is fresh and the staff is friendly! I appreciate a healthy food choice available in the neighborhood. Not a lot of seating but that doesn't seem to be a big deal. Management team, please hire more staff! The line was long. I waited 20 minutes in line and poor staffing members are so busy!!

This place is a joke. This was our take out order of chicken and tortilla chips. They gave my son crumbs for chips. Don't waste your time or money. This place is a joke.

Overpriced food and the quality is very poor. I am surprised that people actually go there.

This store has the worst quality control. My order was wrong again tonight. They get it wrong 9 times out of 10.

Why does Long Grove always feel like some magical far away place when it's really much closer to me…read morethan most places I go? It's probably because of spots like this. When my yelp friends check-in places I always take a peek and add the interesting stuff to my massive and unorganized list of anything and everything I could ever want to try... this place popped up a few times, and I do love good pastries, so I had to make a trip. I say pastries but what really sold me was the pizza slice a buddy got, a savory excuse always helps. I got there before the dinner rush. I know that because it was calm when I got in line, though the line was full. When I left the place was crowded. There are actually 2 lines. One for savory and one for sweet. So like I said, I was here for that pizza slice... and I got it. I'm not sure if they make more throughout the day but there were just a few slices left that I could see. Score! But I do want to say that the more filling pasta dishes and such look AMAZING. I saw gorgonzola garlic bread and had to try that as well... and an arancini. Everything really looked so good, I wanted it all. It's a good thing I love bread because I ate a lot of it here! Great flavor and texture on the garlic bread, I love the little funk from the cheese. Arancini was fried up nicely and didn't retain excess oil. The slice is really good. It's a fair warning that it's about 90% bread, but I understand they make their own dough here and it shows. The crust is so crispy and airy, it's a nice experience. Next up, dessert. I grabbed a Nutella croissant and some gelato, both delicious! The gelato was rich and creamy. The croissant, which they fill to order with your choice of flavors, is another flex on how good their dough and bread baking skills are. Perfect texture, no notes. Would and will eat again. Amazing atmosphere that feels like a quick vacation, and outdoor tables perfect for the warm season. Friendly and inviting staff as well, they tried to sell me on the pear flavor gelato. Maybe next time. This is a not so hidden gem of a spot and a must try for bread lovers! I'll be back soon for pasta and more!

It seems like they hired more people and the same change staff often. Cashier is always taking forever to take orders. They are always confused with what's going on especially for takeout orders. This place is so special for us and we really hope they can recognize the problem and frustration they have caused.

When we arrived we waited and then a table became available. They placed us in the bar section in to high top? I asked if a high chair will work here.. they said no and that it wouldn't be allowed for her to be in one at this table. I said well this isn't going to work then. They said we could wait 30 more minutes for a table that would work... seriously?! They then moved us outside to the heated patio area. Which was okay until it became freezing. I was told that I would need to call ahead to accommodate a high chair in the future. Seriously?!? No other restaurants do this. Don't bring your children here. Another instance was when I didn't account for my one child in the head count and they also made us wait until a bigger table was available.

Compared to similar restaurants in this space, I prefer to go here with friends for its generally quieter atmosphere and overall vibe. Maybe the biggest complaint here is that the food preparation can be a bit inconsistent between dishes, and between different meat types. That is, that the output can range from delicious to somewhat average (and sometimes overcooked), depending on what you order. For example the birria was super flavorful and served with very crisp tacos and a delicious consomme, but the cilantro-lime rice and refried beans felt like an afterthought. The smoked pork belly quesadillas had a great flavor and just about the right amount of fattiness that was short of perfection due to the pork being overcooked. The tres leches cake also had a great creaminess and flavor to it, but parts of the cake weren't really soaked in the milk at all, which created an inconsistent experience - depending on where I took the bite. On everything I tried though, the presentation was excellent and there were enough great things about each dish to overcome some of the shortfalls. Overall though, I feel with improved execution on ensuring that all elements of the dishes are equally good in terms of texture and flavor -- there's a lot to love about Ancho & Agave. But even in its current state, it's still an enjoyable spot to take a group of friends for tasty food in an impressive looking spot.

When we arrived, we didn't have a reservation, and it was before dinner time. So we got seated right away. While the menu didn't have indication of allergen, we asked about gluten free for the BBQ option - as long as there's no marination. They gave a good number of banchan but not all are gluten free. The presentation of the raw meat was theatrical in a way - they came in a platter with dry ice. The amount was also generous. Our wait staff was very attentive. She kept coming by to check on us, and half way through, she changed our grill plate. We also ordered a dessert to share. It's a great place for a date night, and special gathering over good foods

We were a little hesitant ordering the Hanjeongsik since it was our first time and the mains (buttered abalone and short rib patties) were unfamiliar to us. Our server described it as a type of meal that was served for the royal family and comes with several dishes. Theirs included kimchi pancakes, freshwater eel, smoked salmon, and more. I think the shrimp tempura could be more flavorful, but aside from that, the dishes were thoughtful and so good. The prices are also very reasonable for the quality, and the menu has great variety as well, from KBBQ to bento boxes. The restaurant itself is modern, while the food is cooked traditionally and packed with flavor. I would gladly drive from the city just to eat here again.

I ordered a bowl with super greens and grains, half steak & half spicy lamb meatballs, and assorted toppings of my choice. They had q nice variety of fountain drinks to choose from. The service was quick and good. My build your own bowl concoction was perfect in taste. I managed to get the appropriate mix of toppings whose flavors mixed in well with the base and proteins. The portion size of the bowl was good as well. I usually customize my own bowl so I can add in all of the sides! I justify the price by saying that it would take me forever to make all of those sides at home... Also the drinks are actually pretty good- not your standard drinks at fast casual restaurants. The last time I went there was a pineapple mint drink that was really refreshing. I've gone on Sundays both times, and it was packed! They seem to be slammed in the back, and getting a table is a free for all.
