The staff member that helped my group was very friendly and patient. Her serving sizes were generous and she made sure all ingredients were top notch quality. Love this place! We came opening weekend so the line was a bit long but that's to be expected. The inside is very clean and modern looking. Theres tables indoors as well as outdoors to dine at. There's a ton of salad options to choose from otherwise you can build your own salad bowl just the way you like it and they have tons of options for toppings dressings. I am the biggest fan of sweetgreen, but this location is just awful every time I go. The menu and ambiance is the same as your typical sweetgreen, but the staff seems untrained and the food is just not the same. In a previous visit, I found hair in my Harvest Bowl (which okay, I get things happen, it's fine) AND an ingredient (rice) was missing completely from the bowl, which made the meal seem totally different. On the most recent visit, I ordered ahead online so I could pick up four bowls and run to a meeting. Every bowl had an insane amount of dressing on them (even though medium was ordered), to the point they were inedible. I'm not sure what's going on with this location, but buyer beware - it's not like your typical sweetgreen experience. read more

I placed an order for pickup for 4 salads. I arrived right on time and when I asked if the salads were ready I was told that someone must have stolen them off the shelf. Richard the Manager said this happens all the time and they didn't have time to watch the food. I asked them to remake the salads and he said he couldn't do that and I had to email customer service to get a refund and put in a new order. My Harvest Bowl was delicious and the service was great. The almonds were swapped with cucumber - no extra charge. I could've swapped the almonds for a variety of things without charge. The young lady who made my bowl was cheerful and friendly. She asked if I wanted my dressing mixed in or on the side. The side cup I received was the perfect amount for me. The sweet potatoes were cut in either big slices about an inch thick or tiny little pieces. And the big chunks weren't done. The broccoli was apparently pretty spicy so I took a hard pass on that. I am on a diet so I have to be careful what I eat (I legit haven't had McDonald's, Taco Bell, Burger King, Sonic, Culver's in over 3 years) and when I heard about this place it was perfect. I ordered my first meal and it was so delicious and then I kept coming back after that. The food is always delicious and nice and warm whenever I get delivery. I always get the focaccia and humus because it's delicious, the only thing I notice is that from the Schaumburg location they actually cut up the bread like on the website but at the Deer Park they don't. Wow should have listened to the reviews. Walked in right when they opened. Two gals prepping with their backs to me. One says to the other can you get her? The other says is she ready to order as if I'm not even there. I walk to the area to order. I say I am ordering for my vegetarian daughter. She wants avocado instead of chicken. It's a five minute conversation to figure out that they need to deduct the price of the chicken and add the avocado. If looks could kill, this request put the gal over the edge and I'd be dead. Every question from that point forward was barked at me. She should NOT be in a customer service position! They don't wear name tags so I have no idea how to give proper feedback at the store. You could feel the tension between these employees. No management setting the tone here at all. It's awkward and uncomfortable in this place. Felt like I was bothering them. The place reminds me of a Chipotle - there is no ambiance and there is limited seating but it was one of the best salads I had every had. Peanut dressing and fresh lime made the flavors pop. My partner had a spicy salad that he enjoyed also. There drink selection is weak - they need to offer a better variety. I love that the bowls and utensils are made of plant material. My friend couldn't decide what she wanted and ended up ordering a salad with just 3 ingredients. She asked to get an extra for one of the ingredients, and she was told that it is an extra charge, but when we asked if they were going to substruct for the ingredients that she didn't take (the other 4 ingredients that she didn't take), they sarcastically said "of course not".
