Stopped into Cafe Zupas in Kildeer for a casual lunch. This location was extremely clean, staff welcomed us upon entering the building, was more updated, and even had a drive through pick up window! I love their fresh food offerings and variety of menu items. My favorite is the Pick 2 for Tomato Soup and Ultimate Grilled Cheese. Each order comes with a complimentary dinner roll and chocolate covered strawberry. They had some recently added menu items that intrigued me for next time! Café Zupas is in a tricky location because there is an unreal amount of dining options within a mile radius. But as someone who loves carbs and salad equally, I knew that this is the place for me where it can all come together. I really appreciated the abundant signage that describes the ordering process so I could avoid holding up the line. Sandwiches and salads are first, then soups and desserts with the next person, and drinks with the cashier. It's a smooth process. I went on the last day of their Korean BBQ sammy, which was delicious by the way. The sandwiches are cold unless you ask for them grilled. I opted to pick two and went with the Southwest Potato & Green Chile soup and had it topped with tortilla strips and bacon. An odd combo, but it definitely works together and left me plenty full. For good measure I also got the salted caramel crème brûlée which didn't shine as brightly as the sammy and soup because texture wise seemed closer to flan and taste wise was a touch too subtle, but the caramel on top was divine! The subtle taste of the custard may have just been caused by the caramel overpowering the flavor so I'd give another flavor a go, but honestly, if they started offering just the caramel in a shot glass, I would order it. I really like the interior of CZ too. It's super clean and modern. They had a wonderful drink station with a great selection that had more than soda. And the complimentary items like a bread roll and a chocolate covered strawberry was a nice and welcome touch (I will be placing an order for strawberries next time!). First time I ever visited a Cafe Zupas. I believe the manager there waited on me. It's a great concept. Everything is freshly made and the salad dressings are made fresh every morning. While they have the typical fountain drinks available they also have a variety of great fruit infused waters with raw honey. I can't recommend those enough! I had the steak carb protein bowl and it was great. You also received a piece of bread which was outstanding! When you order a combination meal you also get a fabulous chocolate dipped strawberry. My only negative feedback is that I prefer Romaine and iceberg lettuce only in my salads. And that isn't an option there. Even so I would go back again.Highly recommend! read more

The line was short the wait was long. Not quite sure why the cashier is not informed as to what you are paying for. The process seems inefficient and odd. Now to the food!! Zupa always has great good! But today it was the customer service that went above and beyond. Part of our delivery order was forgotten. We called the restaurant and the manager right away knew who we were and said she was just getting ready to call us. She offered to remake the order and deliver it to our house so it would be fresh and we wouldn't have to pick it up. We were so grateful for this as we were at the end and f a long day with three kids getting ready for bed. When our replacement food arrived, they had not only brought what was forgotten but added extra soup and a free dessert! I wish there was a cafe zupas out in Colorado! Whenever I go home I MUST stop at zupas- every time I go I have a hard time deciding what I want because the options are all so tasty!
