This Italian spot totally blew me away. From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell the staff cares about your experience, which made the evening even better. The food was incredible. Every dish was packed with flavor. From the appetizers, we had the Bruschetta caprese to the pasta, scampi and scallops, everything tasted fresh and authentic. But the real star of the night....The watermelon sangria. It was absolutely to die for--refreshing, perfectly balanced, and dangerously easy to sip. I would honestly come back just for that alone. If you're looking for a cozy place with amazing Italian food and standout drinks, this is it. Already planning my next visit!

This a small quaint Italian place where you can relax and have a calm and peaceful experience. The service is kind, friendly and attentive but not fast paced as there's just two of them so be ready for that and any wait time is worth it. The food has been amazing every time. It feels like you're eating simple home made Italian food where the fresh and high quality ingredients shine through. The pastas have been so good along with everything else. This is a must try in La Mesa/Lake Murray/San Carlos. We will be back again and again.

Ate here with my wife and daughter on Saturday night. The place as a very Italian ambiance and is nicely decorated. Space is a little tight but they weren't as busy as I expected for a Saturday (we were there around 6pm and by the time we left the place was starting to fill up pretty good). Food was very good, although on the expensive side. My daughter had the Mac 'n Cheese with lobster and shrimp added and her entree alone was $28. My wife had a ravioli dish that was around $22 and I had chicken pasta alfredo that was about the same. All told our total (without alcohol) was over $100. It was extremely good so we'll definitely be back.

I chose this little spot called Little Roma because they have gluten free pasta! I was pleasantly surprised by the cozy ambiance and the attentive service. It was in a convenient location as well. I chose the linguine Frute de Mare with gf pasta and hubby had the seafood trio. I got a side of marinara just for fun and also some sautéed vegetables. Your entree comes with soup or salad, so we both got salads with the house made Italian dressing, we highly recommend ! It's made very simply with red wine vinegar and was sooooo tasty. They were doing quite the take out business on a Sunday night and a few other parties were there as well. The prices were great as well as the wine selection so I'm hoping we can come back some day!

Absolutely amazing food. Best Italian food in La Mesa or San Diego for that matter. Super great service. Charming atmosphere.

First of all, I've not really been a huge deep dish fan. And these are hefty pies! But once you let your teeth sink into a slice, you are delighted by the crunch and crispness of the edges and yet the delicate lightness of the dough in the middle. How does he do that? It's not heavy. But it's thick on flavor. The classic is the pepperoni, with or without jalapeños (for those who like some heat). Those lil' meat discs are fired to perfection w/ a perfect toasty crunch. That's how I like it. So good. The marinara is just right for me. It's not overflowing and trying to cover up anything. But the spices and combo are well balanced. Ok now, you gotta try a specialty pie. They are orderable on certain days depending on what sources are available that week. Or whatever is cooked up in the chef's mind! I think my fave is the Best Spud (seasoned potatoes, 3 cheeses, black garlic miso ranch, gojugaru and chives...) and w/ a bacon option! We have ordered delivery (DoorDash or Localby Toast) and we've ordered online and picked up at the window, and since Hoffers Cigar Beer & Wine Bar opened a couple weeks ago, we've ordered online and they deliver it right to our table next door! It's such a convenient set up for a relaxing evening. Pierre's hours are 5pm to whenever they sell out. And only Wednesday to Sunday. Pierre's is a family business and right now is working inside of Public Square Coffeehouse which is also their family business. So, if you want to go there, go to Public Square and you'll be home! You can enjoy your pizza on site at a sidewalk table or a cozy table inside. It's seriously, worth every penny. Off the chain flavor experiences! Not that the pizza even needs more flavor. But these options bring it all to a "ho nubba lebbo!"

Love this spot, the pizza is PHENOMENAL…read more One weekly special we had with mushrooms is something I can't stop dreaming about. Go to pizza is the pepperoni (added the picture), the pepperonis get nice and curled and the pools of oil and cheese are so flavorful. The whole pie is more than enough pizza for two people to share. They have a weekly special that you can ask about too. Don't sleep on Pierre's! It's the only place I know of that has guero peppers, they are mildly spicy maybe half as spicy as jalapeños they do add up as you eat it though. What I like most is the crust it's a bit more chewy than other NY style pizza. The pepperoni were flavorful and nicely charred. The guero peppers added a mild spice and good flavor. The pizza is somehow juicy and the tomato sauce has a nice intense, almost tomato paste flavor. Ordering online was easy and the pizza was ready in the estimated time. They are located to the right of Vons next to a sushi restaurant. They also have pizza by the slice if you walk in. But it's so good and I don't mind ordering a whole and reheating the next day. They do reheat well too the crust is both thin and crispy but still has that beautiful chew.

There was ample parking for this time of day. I went inside and sat down, place is pretty small, there were some small tables inside. I did not wait too long for my order to be ready. You can see right up front, the staff are making the pizzas fresh. The scent of basil hit me hard when I walked into this place. While I was waiting, they noted they do love to make the pizza so fresh, so there might be a little wait until they come out piping hot. The two pizzas I ordered were: 1. Margarita: extra mozz/extra parm/ BASIL (SOT- sauce on top) I loved the toppings on this one, the basil was my favorite thing. They do not skimp on toppings. I did not love their sauce, I realize it's homemade and fresh, but I found it a bit too salty. 2. Truffle: Double mushroom/truffle salt/ Ricotta (SOT- sauce on top) I'm a mushroom fanatic, so when I saw this on the menu, I was so dang excited. The toppings were delicious, I did not love the SOT and it could have been a bit less salty. I think truffle salt is a wonderful addition and it is not seen very often. Once again, they did not skimp on the toppings. For both pizzas, they came out piping hot. I did not like the crust as much, I enjoyed it at first since it was so hot and fresh, but it definitely has a major chew to it. Some might prefer it, but I'm not a fan. If I would to order here again, possibly I would ask for my pizzas to be less cooked. (maybe that helps with the chew?) and no SOT. Hands down though, probably the one place with the freshest ingredients. TIERRA-mi-Su: homemade , boozy, Delicious. (Tiramisu) This was not too bad, but definitely a bit boozy for my liking. It had such strong coffee flavor along with the strong boozy flavor. However, I was so grateful that I got a complimentary Tiramisu! Service: 5/5 Food: 3.5 /5 Ambiance: 3/5
