Always been my favorite place to eat since I was young. They aren't busy most of time except night times, they'll have events so book your tablr ahead of time. Food has always been my favorite, tamerin soup (canh chua) and Caramel Fish (cá kho tộ) . Lately, my favorite has been frog legs though. It is crunchy on the outside and soft and hot on the inside. First time eating here, went with my (Vietnamese) family. First thing I noticed is that it was super chilly. It was about the same temperature outdoors. At lunchtime, the place was also completely empty except for us. The pho was okay. Different from Pho 75 in that the flavor was a bit richer, but was too salty. The noodles were more chewy, but the beef was more tender. So, different from 75, but not necessarily worse. The chicken wings are quite good. The quail is okay. The taro salad with shrimp and chicken was interesting. Never had it before, but I liked it. I don't speak any Vietnamese so I felt a bit uncomfortable when our server and my family started yapping away and she started to show the ladies some jewelry [she] was selling (side business?) and then showing pictures of her before and after cosmetic surgery. The chef also came out and I might've deduced that she was a former Saigon beauty pagent winner or something? The staff was nice and I think they found some vague connection to family lineage or their home province, but as a completely Americanized mutt, I just wanted to leave after a while. I'm not normally the person to write reviews, but I left this restaurant feeling absolutely scammed. I ordered the R1. Little Saigon com tám rice dish, but my order didn't come with the meatloaf (stated on the menu btw). When I asked about it, the waiter said that it doesn't come with it. After showing a photo of this dish from Yelp with the meatloaf, he then changes his story and tells me that they ran out. Okay, that's fine if they ran out of the ingredients, but why not let me know before I ordered or when I initially asked? I thought I would get a small discount or get charged for another option (e.g. one of the rice dishes that doesn't include the meatloaf; which would be cheaper), but I got charged the FULL price. This is false advertisement. Ridiculous service and terrible hospitality. They also charge for a to-go box without letting you know. We still left a tip since we dined in, but he sneakily clicked the 20% tip option before putting it down for us to sign. I thought it couldn't get worse from the missing meatloaf, but this restaurant didn't fail to surprise me. If you want to leave feeling unsatisfied and scammed, then be my guest and come here. I'm not sure what happened here, perhaps we came at an off day. My over all experience was quite mediocre so let's get to it. When we first walked into the restaurant, because we looked quite young, we didn't receive that customer welcome. I do believe it was the first job the waiter seating us was working as well, so this review won't be too harsh. No dishes were set, no utensils given until asked. Mind you the aura of the service only changed when our party of 3 stood up to walk in our elders. That's when the owner came and tried to take our orders (but we ordered with the waiter ahead because we wanted the food to be ready for the elders by the time they arrived). (-2) Food wise, it is considered comfy food. Canh chua ca kho to, is not the best but every viet family has their own recipe for this combo so this is up to your tastes and flavoring. For those that don't know these two dishes always go hand in hand. So the type of fish used in the dishes are also important along with the cooking time. Fatty fish in braised (clay pot) fish will be buttery yes but won't absorb the sauce well if cooked in a short time. It also gets washed by the tamarin soup leaving a slight gamey taste. If using a more lean fish, it will absorb the sauce very well even if it's short cooking time and when paired with the tangy soup, it's a sweet and tangy combo on rice. To me, the dish came out with a short cooking time so the sauce of ca kho was watery, did not have enough time to thicken, so it was out washed by the tamarin soup. The fish used in the ca kho was the same one used in the soup as well. The fish was better off in the soup than used for braising. Aside from all of that, the rest of the meal was decent. 2 for food presentation, 1 point for cleanliness of the restrooms (small but very clean). Overall 3/5. I can't say I would come again as I am a very picky canh chua ca kho to eater, however, I would say this place passes for comfy food and is easy on the palate. Also rooting for the waiter, hang in there buddy you'll get the hang of it. Ah parking is a bit small in the front but you can find more parking at the side, no handicap parking in the front though. Handicap parking is on the side where you do have to walk a short distance (low-key defeats the purpose of handicap parking). ‍ So if you want in-front parking just hope you're lucky. read more

This place is a hidden gem located away from the hustle and bustle of the Eden Center. I got the pho and I have to say it might be one of the best broths I've had. They add some shaved ginger with the cilantro and onions and it just gives each bite a burst of flavor. The staff here offer super friendly service and are happy to help should you need anything. Update - I don't know what happened here. I guess Maggie N. was right, they've switched management. The food is bad. It's tough to give it such a review since it was previously 5 stars for me, but I've been almost 10x before this and there has been a dramatic decline in quality. Started with garden rolls. These are still good. The peanut sauce is still good. But this is where the meal started to go downhill. The papaya salad with shrimp and pork was ok, but nothing great and I wouldn't order it again. The Saigon fish sauce wings were awful. They used to be the best viet wings around, and honestly the only real reason I kept coming back over some other spots in eden center. They were overcooked, dry, had 0 flavor, no caramel sauce, nothing. Disappointment to say the least. We then wrapped up with caramelized pork in a clay pot, and the caramelized fish pot. We took one bite of each, and decided it wasn't worth eating. Absolutely no flavor, whatsoever. We brought it up with the manager/owner, who asked us what was wrong and offered us another look at the menu for replacement dishes, but we declined and got the check. She handled the situation well, but there is no way we were going to order more food when some of the most flavorful dishes fell flat. I'm sorry little Saigon, it was a good run. I came here on a Saturday afternoon with friends and family. It was around 3pm and the restaurant was empty. We were seated immediately by the staff and waters were brought out for us. The waitress took our drink orders and gave us some time to look over the menu. I ordered Com Suon, Bi & Cha - Broken Rice Dish which comes with a grilled pork chop, pork meatloaf, shredded pork, pickled radishes, cucumbers and rice. I asked for a fried egg to be added as well. The rice seemed under cooked and the size of the pork chop was extremely disproportionate to the dish... but at $8 I cannot complain too much, I got what I paid for -_- I liked how the meal comes with a side of broth for you to sip with your meal. Overall, the dish lacked flavor, I had to drench the dish in fish sauce. The staff were polite, they brought out the dishes quickly... except one of the dishes which my friend had ordered (Bun Bo Hue), which came about 5-10 minutes after everyone else had already been brought their dishes. Timing wasn't great on their part, the entire table was served except one person. This spot is average, not amazing and not terrible. I ordered the pho with stir fried shank beef +chicken and summer rolls for lunch. The broth was tasty and had good depth for flavor. I really enjoyed the shank beef (I'm not a fan of most pho beef options) and liked that it was stir fried with seasoning and onions. Both the beef and chicken were very tender. I am a soup lover and will happily eat it on a hot summer day. My boyfriend on the other hand, doesn't feel the same. I really like that there are a lot of options on the menu besides pho so we will both be happy. I look forward to trying more. So my initial impression from looking at the outside was...what is this dinky restaurant? My moms friend invited us to come and we roll up to this kind of run down lookin strip mall section and see a tiny little store front. Upon walking inside, however, it's like being transported to a different place. The inside was MUCH more spacious than it looked from the outside, the decor was clean, bright, modern, and beautiful, and we were seated right away. We started by ordering drinks and apps. I got soy milk (brings me back to my childhood and how much I used to beg my mom to buy it for me lol) and an order of corn spring roll. My sister ordered the Thai tea with herb jelly, shrimp summer rolls, and the regular spring rolls. Now I was expecting the orange Thai tea that I'm sure most of you guys know what I'm talking about. Sweet, creamy, and delicious, it's hard to not love it! Here, we received a completely green, not orange, tea that had the herb jelly. Upon tasting, it was delicious! But had a kind of strange aftertaste lol. We all tried it and it was 50/50. Some loved it and others didn't. Definitely was an experience and something new, so order the "thai tea" if you're down for something unique. The corn spring rolls came with this creamy and mildly spicy orange dipping sauce that reminds me of the sauce Japanese places drizzle over Americanized Sushi rolls. It was delicious and I enjoyed it! The regular spring rolls were what you'd expect! Flavorful and crispy on the outside! The summer roll was delicious, but the peanut sauce could've been better:/ For entrees, we got Banh beo (small rice cakes with shredded shrimp), bun cha gio (thin noodles with spring rolls), fried soft shell crabs, and bo luc lac (shaking beef). Everything was delicious but definitely wasn't the BEST viet food I've ever had. We all enjoyed our meals but weren't blown away. The plating was beautiful and presented on huge modern plates. The table got crowded really quick haha! I'd say that the star of the show was the bo luc lac (so sad I didn't get pictures! It was GLORIOUS!)The meat was sooo tender and seasoned beautifully. The only weird thing was that it wasn't served with rice, but had a side of French fries instead...they did offer rice when we asked about it though! I might never have noticed this place had my sister not recommended it. With Eden Center so close by and an abundance of Vietnamese restaurants to choose from, Little Saigon, situated in a small strip plaza with a Jiffy Lube next to it, would not have caught my attention. You absolutely must make the trip here. It's spacious, clean and bright and is well positioned to let in ample amounts of sunlight. There's a pretty mural of the Eden Center in one corner of the restaurant. So we're off to a good start already. Now, the food. Very flavorful and with decent portion sizes. We got the baby clams and the sampler as appetizers. My father particularly liked the shrimp around the sugar cane in the sampler. We also got vermicelli with grilled beef, pho, and pan fried crispy noodles. There was a generous amount of grilled beef with my vermicelli and the pan fried noodles (with vegetables, meat, and seafood on top) was enormous. You must eat the food on top of the noodles quickly, otherwise it can make the noodles soggy. The prices may not be as cheap as at Eden Center but the ambiance here and quality of food was well worth the visit. read more

I'm really not sure the decision behind this, but I haven't been going back lately because of these changes. This review is for delivery only. I absolutely adore this restaurant and cannot imagine what I would do without them on a sick day or a cold day when I don't feel like leaving the house. I generally order the Chef Minh's special pho or Dong Ba noodle soup. The delivery is so quick every time, and the portions are HUGE. Like seriously, I always feel like I'm getting extra noodles without ordering them (which you can do for only $1.50 more). Is it the best pho in Nova? Not in my opinion. But it is the best pho you can get delivered and it hits the spot when you're feeling under the weather. Little Saigon will always be that restaurant my family and I have grown up with. After coming here for many years, we found this place as a safe bet to come for dinner. This restaurant is located a little ways outside of the Eden shopping center. Never needing to wait or a table - we get seated right away every time. It doesn't have the congested Eden customers, which is nice if you're just looking for a nice and quiet family meal. This place has hands down the best fried wontons ever. Appetizer spring rolls were good and delivered on time. The entrees, though, meandered out through the evening. The first one came on the heels of the appetizers, followed by a long gap, than one or two more, than others. Nobody knew when to eat, as their food got cold, waiting for others to be served.
