I ordered: pork belly, fish, and bamboo shoots. The dish was absolutely flavorful! It reminded me the food I get in Irvine, California, a Mecca for Asian food. The dish came with: a lot of rice, a small scoop of bamboo shoots, pork belly, and fish. I bolstered it with cucumbers at home and Thai Basil. For English speakers, she does speak a little bit of English, but when I asked how it works, she mentioned briefly, "you pick what you want, then pay." The price was not mentioned, and I wasn't sure if it was by weight or by what we chose. When I inquired about what kind of fish it was, it was not mentioned. So, expect for the food to be around $15 for two meats and one vegetable! Or, bring a Vietnamese speaking person who can help you out! I've honestly been looking for these lunch box-style meals for awhile. While I'm use to the Taiwanese/Chinese versions of these I know that these meals are always going to be extremely filling and cheap. You get a huge amount of rice and then choose from two meats and a vegetable for $10 cash. It's a very quick visit and is meant to be eaten elsewhere. The woman helping me was kinda aggressive with her selling and kept repeating words over and over to me like I was deaf. And then when I asked her if I could have a tofu dish as my vegetable option she about punched me. "No no no no no meat! Only vegetable!" And then automatically fills my box with broccoli. Alright, but tofu isn't meat either...Sad face. Everything is delicious in that home-cooked way. I bet it's because most of it is made from love and maybe like 10% anger. read more

I had mine with caramelized shrimps, braised pork belly and a Chinese sausage for $10! Try beating that! The owner even gave me a cup of soup on the house since she knew I have driven far for this. This is hands-down one of the best food establishments in Eden center, the choices are endless and they switch things up everyday. The workers are extremely sweet and accommodating. I have been coming here since little. Every weekend to stock up lunches for the week. Everything is made the day of. It's mainly for to-go home made Vietnamese food that you don't normally find at any restaurant. Some items they always have such as stir fried bamboo shoot, fried tilapia, pork and egg stew, spare ribs, mackerels, stir fried egg noodles with veggie/bbq pork, spring rolls, all noodles entree such as beef stew, crab noodle soup. If you need to place a special order for Suong Sa (Vietnamese jello cake), this is the place for you! So all I could really describe to you is that it is by the gate/entrance closer to the main intersection road. This used to be called Ngoc Anh, but on their window, it's Saigon Restaurant. But recently, I came in to order regular food and I have been missing out! - my husband loves the pho. He said it's really good, that the broth is tasty, and gives a lot of meat. My uncle happens to enjoy their pho here. - I love how you can get traditional home Vietnamese food here. I was there twice in a day. I needed ice coffee and I went in because it was the first shop by the entrance. I was greeted warmly with smiles. Full disclosure, I am not Vietnamese and I live in San Francisco. I got there at 10:30 and it was packed!!!! So to get a loud and warm hello is so not expected. I vowed to go back in the evening because I am here for a week and have no desire to cook while I work all week. I went back in the PM although food option was not as plentiful but it was delicious still. The owner was still there from the morning. She recommended several dishes for me to try knowing I was clueless. She was accommodating, half fried rice and steamrice. Gave me the quail, chicken wings and bamboo shoot. So yummy and satisfying. Comfort food at its best. Before leaving she remembered I was there in the morning for ice coffee. She poured me a new one and send me on the road. I'll be back all week. read more

So this is much more a take out place than a sit down restaurant. They have 9 tables but 5 of them are covered in prepared food for massive takeout orders! I have always avoided this place because of the buffet of food and thinking itd stink... But here is the thing! The garden rolls are probably the best i have had in a very long time! The fish sauce was very good!!! The lettuce was very fresh, it had sprouts and noodle and green onion (only missing mint and perhaps cucumber for perfection) they were bursting just a bit! The pork was very flavorful, the shrimp were easy to bite through, they were awesome! The only downside to them was that the wrapper was a bit overly sticky so a little tough to bite through...but not hard so still very tasty! Perhaps the best pho broth in the city! Depth of flavor, not too greasy, black pepper, green onion, cloves...all the goodness you could want! The noodles were a little...microwaved...i think. The meat was a little lower quality than most places, not very thinly cut and chunky instead of slicey.... This said...i think this place wins the KING of the Eden Center award for me as of now! Looks like there are 7-9 places left in this building for me to try! Here is the caveat! If you are a noodle or a quality of meat, or want an english fully friendly environment.
