I got the veal parmigiana because it was a special and it was just a little rubbery. I didn't care for the meat, but everything else was fabulous. My wife got the Shrimp Alfredo Pasta and it needed a little more sauce, it was just a little dry. We were told by the owner, it was a good thing that we stopped today because next week they were shutting down the whole restaurant and taking all of their employees on a cruise because it was their 80th year anniversary. We do remember eating at this establishment with my wife's brother in law sometime in the past. Two of our party had the haddock one fried and one grilled, one had the crab cakes and I had the special (stuffed scallops with crab stuffing). Our meals also came with the bread and soup bar. The selection of bread was great, maybe 5 or 6 kinds, and the soup of the day was delicious beef noodle. Cubes of Swiss and cheddar cheese were also available. Everyone enjoyed the great service, the great food and the family ambiance. We will return again when we are back in this area.

Anyone who regularly travels the Pennsylvania Turnpike knows how hard it is to find a truly memorable place to eat. This one is absolutely worth the short detour. The atmosphere is charming, the view is beautiful, and the food exceeded every expectation. We had to try their famous mushroom soup, and even though I'm not normally a mushroom fan, it was hands-down one of the best cups of soup I've ever had. The smoked salmon salad was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the Filet Mignon Sandwich special, and every bite was packed with incredible flavor. Our server was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. She made us feel right at home and added to what was already a wonderful dining experience. We finished with the Bananas Foster. While it wasn't the tableside flaming presentation you'd find at a fine-dining restaurant, the flavor was outstanding and the perfect ending to a fantastic meal.
