It was my six-year-old son's birthday this past weekend, so we took him to get a haircut at a different place. Long story short, his hair ended up looking like a mess. Right after that appointment, we went straight to Little Scissors at The Hub to have it fixed by Nga, and she completely saved it. This hidden gem is so child friendly and the service is so child focused. The salon is so clean and has cute little toy chairs and play areas to keep the vibe light and enjoyable for kids first haircut and routine cuts. Juanita provided my sons first haircut and was so calm and efficient during the haircut. My baby is a little boy now with his first hair cut. He got a first hair cur certificate which was such an adorable gesture and above and beyond thoughtful momento that was provided. All in all great salon, great service. Made an appointment online at 1:30 pm slot for my son. I walk in with my son and mother in law and saw it wasn't busy. Literally 5 mins later a lot of customers came in. So many I overheard had a 1:30 pm appointment. Thankfully we came in earlier because we got helped first. Then a lot of the other customers were asking when it was my turn. It was disorganized at the register, the workers seems frazzled and pointing to different directions. Workers were nice, I just think they need more organization when it gets really busy. My son's haircut turned out decent but it could of been better. Overall would come again at a less busier hour. read more

Please make sure each staff knows how to cut hair for donation. This was cut using men's clippers instead of scissors, and cut at an angle that left the top layer of her hair shorter. I should've had her dry my daughter's hair so we can see it, but we didn't have the time and there was people waiting for the one worker there, so we left it wet. Similar experience to the previous reviewer Rakesh. The barbers here seemed to rush to cut baby's hair. The one we had was and pushing my baby's face with her hands (not sure if they are clean) while using her dirty clippers to cut his hair. The hair cut was uneven from both the clipper and the scissors. It was so bad to the point we came home and fixed it. Worst of all, in between clients the barber DID NOT clean the tools and I saw another baby got nicked in the ears. We found out later our baby also got nicked in the ears. Now I'm worried about potential cross contamination. Hair can always grow back but negligence of proper sanitation is against not only against the Board but morally just wrong. read more

My 2 year old son loves getting his hair cut done here.. he loves that he can sit in a car press all the buttons which keeps him busy during the haircut. They do a wonderful job of cutting the way we want and it always turns out very good. I highly recommend this place for kids haircuts. read more

Little Scissors is great if you'd like your child to have a rushed haircut with unclean clippers and run the risk of getting injured. Stylist was in a rush to complete a basic scissor / clipper cut and managed to draw blood from my son's ear. We had to ask her multiple times to clean the clippers used - it was coated in hair from prior haircuts. Stylist hardly seemed qualified to provide adult haircuts, let alone cut children's hair. read more

It's really hit or miss here. I understand that kids are really difficult, but even when my kid sits relatively still, the cut is barely acceptable. If you factor in the price, it's totally not worth it at all. A boy's taper/fade haircut is $35 and it wasn't even well done. Took my kid for the first haircut at Little Scissors and was very happy with the service. It's a good space with regular seats for parents who would want to sit and hold their kids and they also have the fancy vehicle seats for toddlers. We had Stella help us out this visit and she was patient in handling our kid and also in listening to how we wanted the style to be. This was the place I've been taking my kids since they were little but never again after today. I wasn't satisfied the last time with my child's cut but still gave them another chance today. Even after giving very specific directions, the person who butchered my son's hair still could not comprehend my request. I should have known from the very beginning when the person drenched my son in water with the spray bottle before even starting to cut his hair. Ever since the change in ownership superficial improvements to the space only mask the abysmal quality of haircuts. It is worth every penny and the people are great I chat with other customers regularly while there and have received the same reviews that they travel near and far to come here They have super cool ride options for kids to go on. The workers do such a great job both with the kids and with their work. They have a play place for kids while they wait, have a tv to help with distracting, style the hair and have a little lollipop for after. Even though not the closest place to my home, this used to be my go-to place for getting my daughter's haircut but not anymore. I acknowledge the fact that they generally work off appointments and today I didn't have one. But there was literally NO ONE in the place. EMPTY. And there was 20 minutes before the stylist's next appointment. The stylist was doing nothing. I find it hard to believe that 20 min was not enough time to work us in for a trim and still keep the next appointment. She declined and only said sorry. We had been here nearly 10 times. And I was doing what I could to support a struggling small business in a mall location where many other shops are closing. I have two year old identical twin boys. And to say the least getting a hair cut is no easy task. They both cry and have a hard time but Jennifer was amazing. She handled them great , one of the twins even only cried in the beginning and then stopped. She sang to them talk to them, made them feel comfortable. We have been here multiple times and every stylist we have had has been quick, clean, and caring. Our son loves to get a haircut and they are so sweet and patient to him every time. I recommend making a reservation so you can make sure that you have a slot, but like most parents will tell you, you never know when you'll actually be available. Happy they are pretty quick with walk-ins. They requested us to leave because the oldest was coughing and I coughed once. They claim the small one was coughed as well but since I was holding him she assume it was him coughing not me. The lady with the blond hair said covid precaution which is understandable but the oldest just has a lingering cough for the last 2 weeks while mine started last week when we just came back from Vegas that has dry weather. We also told her it was just the little one that needed a haircut but she didn't care. The salon is under new ownership as of last year (his wife still works here, but the man who used to be at the counter and sweep the floor is probably retired now), and we have some mixed feelings about it. The last time I took my daughter to get a haircut was end of November. The hairstylist recommended even out the ends no more layers, I agreed. After the haircut was complete I looked at the back and it looked even, as the days went by I noticed it uneven and as the weeks went on it was completely noticeable that the right side of her hair was longer than the rest. I called requesting they fix it and they kept saying they are completely booked and don't have availability until the following week. The first two times were fine but this last time was disappointing, I won't be going back. Parents/caregivers I recommend taking the apron off the kids and checking the ends with your own fingers doing a thorough check, they won't do that for you. read more

Clementine was my daughter's hair stylist and she was so great! It was my daughter's first haircut, so I wasn't sure how she was going to do, but she did really well, and Clementine was very patient with my daughter during the couple of times my daughter would get distracted (from watching the tv or playing with the seat she picked). Clementine was not only patient, but also efficient. We booked my daughter's haircut on a weekday when they opened, too, so it wasn't busy. And I appreciate that reservations are required in order to keep it from getting too crowded with walk-ins.
