I've been coming to Little Sweet when I want something fresh. I think their fresh fruit series gives them a bit of an edge from the other boba places in Union Square/TL. My favorite is their watermelon boba. It's blended fresh watermelon, and I add the least amount of sugar possible (the sweetness options vary depending on the drink). It's so refreshing, even on the coldest days. I also like the lemon one. It's a whole lemon and caffeine free. I usually get that when I want something tart. As for the boba itself, it's good! It has a bit of sweetness to it, and a good chew. You have the option of getting a reusable lid, which I did once. But I keep forgetting to bring it, and I'm not sure if they're allowed to use it anyway because of the pandemic. But t he plastic cups are sturdy enough to use a few more times, so the reusable lid may be worth it. You have the option to scan a QR code to order online, or you can use their kiosk. I don't think they're taking cash at the moment. There's a parklet (standing only), but people tend to stand their while waiting. There's construction across the street so it's noisy. I suggest sitting at Union Square to enjoy your drink. I definitely need to try their desserts! They have egg puffs with ice cream, but they seem so large just for one person. This place has been living rent free in my mind for months, so I finally bit the bullet. ORDERING: After placing my online order (super easy), I got a text claiming it'd be ready at 1:25pm, approx 20 min after I placed it. Perfect, I can pick up another order I placed elsewhere along the way. No more than 5 min later, I got a text saying my order was ready. I wish the timing was more accurate, but you can't win em all. This wouldn't be an issue if I was able to adjust ice levels to my liking (the only option for anything less than regular ice is none and they charge you $.25 for it). So I accepted the fact that it'd probably be a little watery upon pickup. Not the end of the world. PICKUP: When I arrived for pickup, I gave them my name. They asked if I was Winnie. I said no and they asked me to wait. No problem. 5 min later, they waved me over and pushed two drinks out that didn't look like my order. So I asked, "For Jessica?" and they said, "No, are you not Winnie?" Again, I told them no and that I got a text saying my order was ready for pickup ~15 min ago. They claimed they had no such order even after checking their logs and asked, "are you sure you have the right location?" I had a mini heart attack thinking my order was waiting at another location deeper into SF! I showed my text and after frantically searching, they found it in the fridge. A sigh of relief. DRINKS: Unfortunately, after all that, we were unable to try either drink until we got home an hour later because neither of us could get the paper straw through the thick top. And because they're paper straws (which we def stan for the environment!), you only have a few attempts until they dull. We ended up using a knife to cut into them. I really wanted to try the mango sago drink, but I personally couldn't justify the $8. So instead, I tried the rose high mountain milk tea, 50% sweet with grass jelly. While I felt they went a tad light on the grass jelly, the tea itself was light and refreshing, even an hour after retrieval. BF let me try his passion fruit green tea with boba, and their boba is cooked well with a nice chew. I will inevitably come back to try more of the menu in the future if I'm in the area. Parking around this location is, unsurprisingly, near impossible (unless you pay $8 for a garage like me....) so maybe I'll have to drive even further into SF to another location. We tried the Mango Strawberry Sago and it was absolutely delicious. The variety of flavors and textures made for a perfectly prepared drink. You could taste how fresh the mango and strawberry were. It had just the right amount of sweetness and fruitiness. The sago was great and there was a lot of it thankfully. The only downside was how expensive the drink was at $8.95. We placed our orders on a touch screen so it was a quick and easy check-out process. The drink came out very quickly, about 5 min after ordering.
