Not terrible but not great. Felt like it was a pretty limited menu and there were a number of things that they were sold out of when I went. Dropped by on a late afternoon mid-week. There was a conference happening nearby so the shop was pretty packed. There are two tablets to order from or you can order at the counter (if someone is available to help you). I really dislike the boba shops that rely mostly on tablet ordering because if you're not familiar with their menu and stop by on a whim, like I did, you feel pressured to rush through the menu so you're not holding up the line. About halfway through scrolling the menu, I was bored with the vast majority of the options and a couple of the drinks I wanted were sold out. The only other one that sounded genuinely appealing and interesting was the pistachio cloud jasmine, which they at least had in stock. Despite the large crowd standing around waiting, my drink came in less than ten minutes. It had a good nutty flavor and was the perfect amount of sweetness, nothing cloying. But you had to mix the pistachio foam into the drink if you wanted it to permeate the entire thing, otherwise it was just sitting on top and the drink didn't have any other pistachio flavoring. It was a good drink, but I wouldn't go out of my way to find a Heytea to order it again. No problems with this particular location, the staff were friendly and the drink was made well, I'm just not impressed by Heytea generally speaking and don't really have much desire to return or to seek out other locations.
Wholy Moley! Where have you been my whole life? This drink was the bomb Coconut Mango Blue has my heart (mango, coconut milk + jelly, sago, jasmine tea and spirulina to make it BLUE! I'm addicted! Service was fast considering how many drinks they are making per hour (looked like alot). Clean storefront and you order from the kiosk.

The Coconut Mango Boom is truly sublime... so refreshing; great textures with the sago, fresh mango chunks, and coconut jelly; and the flavor is rich without being too sweet or artificial. Might be one of my favorite boba shop menu items of all time? oop I've also tried their Supreme Brown Sugar Bobo Milk Tea--the boba is so soft and delectable, definitely on the sweeter side compared to their other drinks but the cheese cream/foam balances it out well. Visited on a busy Friday afternoon and waited upward of 30-40 minutes. Ordering was quick on the kiosk, but I wish I ordered ahead to save more time! I recommend downloading the app for discounts, but more importantly, for the QR code feature to track how many more drinks are ahead of you/the estimated wait time that updates in real time. It's a small grab-and-go space, so that feature allowed me to kill time at YBG/Metreon without worrying about constantly checking if my drink is ready. Overall, wholeheartedly recommend for high quality drinks and it's definitely worth the wait if you have the time!
Hey Tea is my most favorite boba spot in Bay no doubt. I could not find a drink that I hate here Today I tried their new seasonal drink - pistachio cloud jasmine coconut and I really like it. It tastes super fresh, light and not too sweet at all. Basically just coconut juice with a nutty creamy pistachio foam on top but it went really well together. You can even choose 0 cal sweetener to lower the calories intake, which I did, so I didn't feel guilty at all drinking the whole thing! It wasn't busy when I went, maybe I got lucky, but I got my drink in like 5 mins after ordering. But if you want to save time, you can download the Hey Tea app and order ahead, really convenient if you don't wanna wait. I don't have enough phone storage for it but I would do that if I can
We love treating ourselves to Heytea as a little treat to break up the workday! The FiDi location is clean, bright and modern. Best of all, everything runs pretty smoothly even with a crowd. Pro tip: order ahead via their app :) I loooove their Triple Supreme Matcha Latte! Not too sweet, ft. a creamy & salty foam atop high-caff matcha... such a perfect combo! It strikes the perfect balance - pleasantly earthy, satisfying and refreshing. Highly recommend if you like matcha that actually tastes like matcha! All in all, this is def one of the better matcha drinks I've had around here and a place we'll keep in rotation :)
We were at the Museum of Modern Art and stopped at HeyTea for our milk tea fix. I ordered the King Jasmine Cloud and really Enjoyed the drink. There was a strong jasmine flavor so I was very happy with the quality of the tea. What I also love is that this location was busy but not super crowded. At other locations, we have to wait awhile to order. And then wait awhile to receive our order. However, here, we didnt have to wait forever to order or to receive our drink. I will definitely be returning to this location for drinks
The passionfruit blast was really good. The tea was bright and refreshing, and the boba was nice and chewy. This spot is always crowded so its worth placing your order online ahead of time! Not much space inside for seating, just a few chairs. But lots of space in the Yerba Buena gardens right nearby.
Located across the street from Moscone West. Parking can definitely be tricky in the area. We ordered ahead via the app, which made pickup process a breeze. There was no line and our order was already ready. Inside was clean, and bright. We order our two usual drinks: the Crisp Grape Boom and the Coconut Mango Boom. The drinks are consistently good. Overall, a solid spot with great drinks, and the convenience of ordering ahead makes it even better. Highly recommend!

Delicious King jasmine guava tea with boba ($8ish). Quality fruit flavor. Not too sweet. However, it took over 20 minutes for my drink after I ordered at the kiosk. I think the secret is to order via the app or online ahead of time. Service did not seem to handle disgruntled customers--I'm going to be honest, I was not the only one! People were disappointed by how long it took (it was very busy.) Seating is very minimal because of its prime location across from Moscone and next to the Metreon. Please do not drive here. Take BART or Muni or walk or bike. Parking would be very difficult. read more
My family thinks I go to every tea/boba shops in the City. I mean, they are not completely correct but they are not wrong either. I TRY! I love exploring different shops across the City and tea/coffee/boba shops are some of the best to explore due to versatility in style and price. Some of them I get delivered because it's just easier for my schedule. Recently tried their grape slushie drink and found it refreshing. I also like their fun cup designs. Will return to try other drinks. Located on 4th street between Mission and Howard. read more
Nice tea shop. Loved that the guava green grape was not overly sweet. Incredibly packed with convention attendees but a nice break from the day's sessions. Convenient location. Qualified staff. Efficient processes. Allow your tea makers some time and you will be delighted with your drink! read more

I love heytea!! Their mango coconut boom is so good! Tip is to order through the app 15 mins before since they tend to have a long queue. There's also coupons on the app to save $$. It's a grab and go but the interior is usually pretty clean, and super efficient. read more

Coconut Mango Boom: new take on the mango sago dessert at a cafe. fresh mangos, sweet and creamy coconut topping, PLACE IS MADNESS IN THERE. Always a line inside and lots of people queuing up. Staff makes the drinks quickly, numbers are displaced in the board. Place is accessible by transit. read more

THE BIG: Located in Downtown SF on the 4th street side of the Metreon. Simple and clean interior with the cute avatar drinking boba. Street/garage parking available. THE BLACK AND WHITE: We were on our post dinner walk and saw that HeyTea was one of the spots still open before 8pm. Fortunately we made it in time. Menu isn't too expansive but all the items sounded great. I ended up going with the fluffy cloud mango and let me tell you. WOW. Best mango drink I've ever had. The blend of the jasmine green tea and the sweetest/ripest mangos along with the cheese cloud on top. I slurped that thing down super quick. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Spent around $10 for this one boba tea. Worth it? Definitely yes. Great tea and easy vibes. I'll be back to try more items on the menu. read more
Heytea drew me with their illustrative brand, and I was so excited to try with lots of reviews saying their matcha is good, but it's not good. Pure Matcha Latte - matcha is on the floral side but other than that, no depth. No buttery or nuttiness. It's not that strong and it's even bitter. There's also no option to choose alt milks (even tho I know they have oat milk!). They use "organic milk" but wish they specified the brand (like many other cafes will proudly say Straus dairy for example). But the milk isn't amazing either. This place is hyped and a bit hard to get to with a crowded parking lot. But the matcha is definitely not worth it! read more
When I saw there was a Heytea in town during my visit, I knew I had to try it before I left. I walked over and immediately got a little nervous when I saw how packed it was--I fully expected a long wait. I ordered at the kiosk and ended up waiting about 15 minutes, which honestly wasn't bad at all considering how many people were inside. Totally worth it, too. I got the mango coconut sago drink and WOW. I would order this a million times. It was so freaking good--perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and you could actually taste the tea. Everything about it was amazing. If you're even remotely into tea drinks, this place is a must. I'd absolutely come back the next time I'm in town. read more
- Great tea drinks that can be more tea or fruit forward depending what you're looking for .. though also paired with generally long lines even when many of their drinks start at $8 pre tax/tip.; - Definitely you should go when they have BOGO pricing but you have to do pre-noon or they'll likely be sold out of the drinks or have run out of the ingredients - I feel sometimes hit or miss on their matcha if I go on different days. I don't know, maybe if it's just how it's being mixed in or the temperature so that's a bit confusing to me; so I'm not a big fan of the triple matcha drink. - In comparison I find the Crisp Grip and the Coconut Mango Boom are consistently good with no miscellaneous ice chunks and great flavor balance (though generally still on the sweeter side even with 0% sugar). - I like also they have a lot of different fusions of different teas where sometimes I feel their tea flavor is even better than Chicha San Chan which is definitely unexpected. - Recently I really like their Longjing /w Mochi which deifnitely gives more of a roasted buckwheat/nutty aroma and pairs great with the sticky mochi which somehow retains its flavor, stickiness, and slight sweetness even when in the drink. Definitely I would also suggest calling in your order ahead of time on the app, because sometimes it can take between 20 to 30 minutes. A drink, especially if on some days there'll be companies or large group orders where you'll have DoorDashers come in and try to get 30 orders, so you'll be behind them in line. read more
Heytea has top tier drinks and I don't mind waiting for them ! I would recommend ordering ahead in the app around 20-30min ahead of when you expect to get there, although wait time for me has varied between 10-40min depending on the day. This location is pretty consistently busy though. There's isn't really any seating inside, it's mainly a to-go spot. I usually go for milk teas with boba, but I've been converted on fruit drinks thanks to coconut mango boom and green grape boom. What sets their fruit drinks apart for me is the super super smooth and fragrant jasmine tea slush. The drinks with boba are also excellent, I really like the soft and chewiness of their boba. Overall, I've enjoyed almost every drink I've tried and the consistency is high. read more

I don't leave reviews much but as a long time customer of this location, and seeing the quality control of the drinks declining more and more, I have to leave a review. The drinks at this location have been so inconsistent. We ordered four drinks for delivery, two of the drinks were the Triple Supreme Matcha Latte. When we got the drinks, one HAD the matcha cloud layer on top as it should, but the other one DID NOT have the matcha cloud layer AT ALL. Not even a little foam. This has been happening so frequently, that it feels like it just depends on the workers' moods to add it or not spontaneously. We pay the higher price for the matcha cloud / for this drink, so the least you can do is to provide your customers with accurate drinks, especially if you are charging extra $2 service fee per drink for deliveries. Don't even get me started on the Jasmine Milk Tea / Jasmine Latte. We were so happy when they added the option to upgrade to a larger size for this drink (500mL to 650mL). When they first rolled out the 650mL option, they would fill the cup to nearly the top even WITHOUT ice. Now, when we order the larger upgraded 650mL size, they always leave a huge gap of at least 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch from the top. A few times, the drinks were almost a whole inch away from the top of the cup, which is the worst I've seen. This is so messed up, like basically pouring the regular 500mL size into the bigger 650mL cup and call it a day. What a scam. We're so disappointed in the declining quality of the drinks at this location. read more

We stopped by here for a drink on a warm city day. They have self-ordering which was pretty quick, but we came in on a Saturday and waited about 20+ minutes for our drinks. It is a decent space to wait in without seating. I got the pistachio jasmine tea which wasn't too sweet and had a nice floral and nutty flavor to it. It was a bit pricy for the size but flavor was good. read more
Love heytea. This place always smells like fresh cut fruit and delicious. Service is good, I was able to get my drink fast, and it helps that I also have the app. My go to is the mango cloud, its tastes like heaven. Seriously though, if u love mangos and u love cheesecake, you will LOVE this drink. I'll always stop by this location if im in the area or even if im heading to the airport. Parking is always tricky at this location, but its near the target so you can find parking near there. read more

My favorite boba place! I love that you can choose the zero calories sweetener option. Their boom drinks are my calorie they're so refreshing with bots of fresh fruit inside. I always order ahead since the wait can be a while if you don't. They don't really have anywhere to sit inside, but it's in the metreon so you can walk around or sit in the mall. read more
It feels like a green tea spa when you step in. The smell of the quality of the tea is delightfully divine. I got the mango coconut bomb and the green tea latte 9/10. Service was good. Fast and efficient. Located at Metreon, perfect grab and go. read more

A colleague (and boba connoisseur) insisted that HeyTea was one of the top boba places in the city, so I was excited to taste it for myself. The cafe in the Metreon is clean and modern, and you place your order at the kiosk. My colleague highly recommended the Matcha Supreme, so I ordered this with the "recommended" sweetness level. There wasn't a line to order on the weekday afternoon that we visited, although the queue from online orders kept us waiting about 10-15 minutes for our drinks. When our drinks were prepared, I was delighted when I saw that the lids have a built-in opening for your straw so that you don't have to stab the plastic lining and risk spilling your drink everywhere. The matcha was smoother and creamier than most matcha lattes I've tried before, and the matcha foam on top was next-level. The jelly added interesting textural contrast, although we noticed that our drinks were missing the matcha mochi (which we realized too late after we'd already left the shop). Next time I'm in the area, I want to come back to try the other drinks, such as the blue butterfly pea drink. read more

Conveniently located steps from the Powell BART station and right across from Moscone Center, it's the perfect stop whether you're visiting the city or grabbing a midday boba during your lunch break. The space inside is sleek with a few seats, but most people grab their drinks to go. - Jasmine Milk Tea -- my favorite classic; cold, smooth, and fragrant - Coconut Mango Boom -- tropical, refreshing, and perfectly balanced - Magnolia Latte -- delicate, lightly floral, and unique flavor I haven't seen elsewhere - Cloud Coconut Blue -- stunning spirulina blue gradient with subtle sweetness and nutrient boost Ordering through their app is seamless -- service is quick, and I have to say, the Heytea app is one of the most aesthetic food apps out there. Clean layout, minimal design, and fun hand-drawn accents that match the brand perfectly. Overall, Heytea Metreon SF is a refreshing addition to the FiDi boba scene -- move over Erewhon, this is where I'm getting my fancy healthy drinks! read more
I came here on a Sunday around 5:30pm. There were 3 other people in there ordering drinks at the one kiosk available. There's not much seating at this location, but most people were doing boba runs, so the seats were available. I think that there were 4-6 seats in the store. The interior looks so nice with the neutral lighting and light brown wood counters. There's a screen at the top left that shows when your order is being prepared vs. when it's ready. I ordered the black tea latte with brown sugar bobo. I adjusted the sweetness to minimal sugar. I was considering the jasmine tea latte, but there was no option to add the brown sugar bobo. I'm guessing it's because the brown sugar would overpower the jasmine tea flavor. Between ordering and getting my order, it took around 3 minutes which was pretty quick. As soon as I got my drink, I could feel the warm boba through the cup which was nice! The drink was really good with a medium-strong tea flavor, but a bit on the sweeter side due to the brown sugar syrup. I think next time, I would try no sugar for the black tea latte because the brown sugar syrup should be enough to sweeten it. I usually go for 25% sweetness for milk tea, so with minimal sugar + brown sugar bobo, I feel like the drink was closer to 50-75% sweet. The boba was soft chewy which I love! For quick service, soft chewy boba, and good tea flavor, I would definitely come again when I'm in the area! read more
Brown Sugar Boba so good I drank it for three days straight and DMd them on their marketing instagram begging them to bring one to my city. Is that excessive? Yeah, maybe. But I've never been so hooked on a boba drink. Absolutely one of the best I've had. read more

Came on a weekday post work and there was no line. They have a a lot of milk tea and fruit tea options but decided to try the most popular option, the coconut mango sago drink. Ordered it with regular ice and less sweet and it was just right. A bit too much coconut flavor for me but would come back to try their milk tea options! The aesthetic is pretty but they have limited seating. We ended up going to the metreon to sit and talk. read more

Super strong matcha flavor for their drinks! I recently ordered the Triple Supreme Matcha Latte, and wow it was a blast of matcha flavor. Not for the faint of heart and you really have to like the flavor to drink this one. It has not only matcha cloud on top of the matcha latte but also matcha mochi and matcha jelly. I always get less sugar and it tastes great! The mango grapefruit bloom is also a hit-- super fresh fruit mix so well with the sago anf slush. It's nice that there's jasmine tea too so you get a bit of caffeine (unlike most places). Be warned, try to order via the app if you can! Sometimes the app is a bit glitchy though. If not, there's almost always a line and it will take a while to receive your drink. It's pretty crowded inside and very few stools to sit at so I recommend just taking your drink to go. read more
One of the prettiest boba drinks I've had - the Coco-Foam Matcha Latte was super creamy, well sweetened (make sure to mix it up for), and matcha forward. The boba is some of the best I've had in the area! We ordered online in the afternoon and it took ~10 minutes to be ready - quite busy even at 2 pm. The interior has a good sized space to order/wait inside but not a ton of seating! read more

Was craving boba since I haven't had some in months so my friend recommended this place! It did not disappoint! Passion fruit blast had a perfect amount of sweetness and their boba had a soft and chewy texture. What threw me off was the passion fruit seeds as every sip I'd take, I'd end up chewing the boba and seeds together lol. Not really a problem but not used to it. Another thing was that we tried to sit onto the high chairs facing the window, but as we sat down both became wobbly and made a loud noise and the screw-on bolts came off. Service was quick, staff were friendly, and came during the evening so it wasn't busy at all. Heard that the slim boost tea was popular, so I'll be back again in the future. read more
