We have eaten Thai food at many places across the US -- gourmet to Mom and Pop kitchens. Since it got some good reviews, we decided to have a late lunch at Little Thai Kitchen. The coconut chicken soup was flavorless and served at barely above room temperature (restaurant owner said that they ran out of sterno that day for the soup). The appetizer dumplings were flavorless also. Although the topping of vegetables seemed to be fresh, the fish was like a Mrs. Paul's frozen fish filet. Never did get to the curry because I felt queasy and began to get stomach cramps followed by violent vomiting. Within 1-1/2 hours, everyone in our party of four was progressively going through the same experience -- queasiness, nausea, cramps, throwing up. The manager said that all the food is made to order. However, we did not hear much activity in the kitchen nor smell food being freshly cooked as you would expect in such a small place. The owner admits that they had another food poisoning episode like this in 2006. She offered to refund our money then changed her mind a couple of days later and tried to claim we got sick from eating at other places before hers. Not likely, since we all hadn't had anything to eat since breakfast -- six hours earlier. read more

This is an adorable hole-in-the-wall, with great staff and good food. Not the best Thai in Flagstaff, but still good. Try to get there early, though -- there is very limited seating. Oh! And they have AMAZING dragon rolls. read more

We see this place every time we come up to Flagstaff to visit and we finally stopped in. Small place but fast and very friendly service. We had spring rolls and Thai dumplings to start and they were both served fast and hot. I was honestly surprised by how good they were. Our whole family of four was happy with everything we ordered. I never had Thai food before going to Little Thai Kitchen, and four years ago I fell in love. The service was always out of this world and the woman that ran the restaurant was such a sweetheart. When my friend and I walked in she would ask us if we were getting the same thing, (which we did) and then put in our orders. The food was always wonderful and the atmosphere was relaxed. The only negative thing I would have said 4 years ago about Little Thai is that the location is so small that you are practically sitting with the people next to you. Sometimes this was great and I would end up in conversation with half of the restaurant, other time there would be loud obnoxious children with noodles on their heads who wanted to sit in your lap. (I am NOT a child person so this is not OK in my world.) Sadly, something changed in the last few years and the place has really gone downhill. The service is horrible. Bar none terrible. The girl who is up front more often than not now, obviously doesn't care about her job and it shows in her work. The food is still great, not amazing like it used to be but definitely worth putting up with the service of one waitress. or better yet, get take out. Try the yellow chicken curry and the salad. Both are still delicious. If you want to have an awesome meal, get the tiger rolls, salad, Gang curry, and the fried banana desert. read more

I think this place is amazing--cuzine wise and service!! Of course they are more Mama-papa type of food, which may not cater to those who are more in favor of those fancy more expensive downtown thai restaurants!! As for their portions, what do you expect--They are almost half the price of dara thai and pato thai and sawadee thai(dinner menu). When it comes to the bathroom issue, I was told they do have bathroom, which is behind the kitchen, for safety concerns, they were not supposed to let people walk past the kitchen and use the bathroom, as a result, it became employee only. Look no further for excellent Thai food. Don't let the small (and I mean extremely small) location fool you. This restaurant boasts friendly staff and some of the best Thai food in the state. I know allot of people love Dara Thai in Flagstaff, but I truly believe LTK has them beat by a milestone. Portions are smaller than Dara but, FRESH INGREDIENTS! Thats what LTK is about! I love all the dishes because they're packed with fresh lemon grass, gingers, cilantro, etc. Order soup at Dara and you'll recieve a large bowl of transparent stock with a rice noodle floating in it. NOT SO at LTK! Order the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup (hot) and the flavor jumps out at you! It will knock your sock off! I love all of their entres, the curries. True LTK is small, but I'll take outstanding flavor over portion size or seating room, anytime! read more

Little Thai Kitchen is by far my favorite Thai restaurant in Flagstaff. Their food is affordable and delicious- you really can't go wrong. My favorite dishes are the evil prince of the wild jungle and rambo. Both of these are offered with meat or vegetarian and both are to die for! Their crispy wonton appetizer is delightful- it is filled with potatoes and other vegetables and curry, served with a sweet dipping sauce. Friends of mine who swear they don't like Thai food love to come here as well. The dishes are authentic and unique, with a wide selection depending on what you like. They also ask how spicy you would like your food, on a level of 1-5. Every entrée comes with a small side salad that has a peanut dressing on it. My Mom and I love the salad so much that we usually order a regular sized one to eat before the meal. It is that good! I have had Thai food in many different cities, from coast to coast, and this is one of the best places I've ever been to. I highly recommend it if you live in Flagstaff or if you are just visiting. read more

Food was tasty, but if you need a restroom you will probably have to get into your car and find one. They don't have a restroom for public use, although they have 10 tables which seat 20 people. They do have a hand sanitizer on the counter. It is a bit annoying that the rice portion was small and we were charged an extra $1.50 each to get that small portion of brown rice. read more

Little place, big impression. Recommended by a Flagstaff local, we shared a noodle dish and yellow curry dish, followed by coconut ice creams. Everything was amazing and all the flavors just popped! After eating at Pato Thai, I have to say that I like Little Thai less. They're more expensive, the restaurant is cramped, and the portions are smaller. It's still really good, and I appreciate that they are knowledgeable and can accommodate my gluten intolerance (there is only one option on the menu you can eat if you're GF, but at least you know you're safe!). They're always really friendly. So...I've had better, but they're not bad. Oh, and try the tiger rolls if you CAN eat gluten. They are so amazing. You only get two and they're pricey, but so worth it. read more

Another reviewer said it best.. everything is little about this place, from the dining area to the menu to the owner/cook in the kitchen. (I wouldn't call the portions "little", but they definitely aren't oversized American portions.) But man was the flavor BIG! It seems the restaurant's theme is "fresh and homemade" as we kept saying those very words over and over throughout our meal. We got curry potato wontons as an appetizer. The curry had a light cinnamon flavor and the dipping sauce was yummy. I got the coconut soup with no meat, add vegetables. I'm no stranger to this soup as I get it 99% of the time I get thai. But at Little Thai Kitchen, the soup base was leaps and bounds better than most I've had. The vegetables were cooked perfect and did not overpower the soup itself. The coconut tasted real. Though I do wish it had included straw mushrooms, as is typical is tom kha. My partner got the bangkok noodles and wow that peanut sauce!! As previously mentioned, the dining room is smaller. We arrived midweek at about 6 and the place was empty. By 7 the place was full. Our server was friendly and efficient and the owner/cook through the kitchen window was smiley with great energy. Cashew Nut Tofu: this was a refreshing crispy delight with just barely cooked veggies with sauteed tofu. The spices were not overpowering, I ordered the 2/5 spicy scale. This dish was certainly not what I was expecting. This dish was a Much lighter fare then the Thai food I have had in Seattle and Chicago. This is my first time at this little restaurant that seats about 24 people max. I will come back to try something else. read more

This is our favorite Thai place in town, namely because they use super fresh ingredients, lots of veggies, and their sauces are delicious and not overly sweet like many Thai places. Favorite dishes are cashew nut, pad Thai, and Tropicana. They used to offer mini salads with every dish (with delicious peanut dressing) and unfortunately have stopped. It's definitely a hole-in-the-wall, but the food is excellent and healthy. read more

I love this place. Good Thai food and it's not all that expensive compared to other Thai Food places. It's a cute little Thai restaurant that has a warm atmosphere. With dinner meals they give you a tasty, small side salad with peanut sauce. Every dish I have tried is delicious and sort of like an orgasm in your mouth. Not sure what's up with some of the other reviewers. I have eaten Thai food all over the country, consider myself a Thai food expert, and this is without a doubt the best I have ever had. I have driven hundreds of miles out of my way just to eat here. I have been eating here for years whenever I am in town. It is consistent and spot on every time. They DO have a working bathroom. It's just that it's in the back, you have to go through the kitchen area. They must have had issues with that in the past and no longer allow customers to use it. And they do use Fresh ingredients, as compared to some other local restaurants. My husband love the Crispy Fish. I love the My Thai. read more
